It's quite bizarre that only a decade ago, we were looking at Barcelona as a true "model" club, with UNICEF on their shirts, and a good football (before it got boring) team with high number of home-grown talent. As a Milan fan, who had a similar philosophy in a distant past, I could only admire that ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽
This video is very well researched and documents the failures of La Masia under bartomeu with his 360 spin on it which seems to have been an exercise in reinventing the wheel. Now Laporta has to restore La Masia to what it was when the club was more successful. The revelation that the meals had sub standard nutrition due to the catering contractor being corrupt is an absolute scandal.
Awesome video. I'm glad that Barça now has great product from La Masia in the first team like Gavi, Fati, Nico, Balde, Mingueza, Eric and Riqui Puig with older Masia players like Pique, Sergi Roberto, Busquets, and Jordi Alba
The problems started before Bsrtomeu my dad.. Rosell pretty much destroyed it, he threw everyone out that didn’t agree with him and wanted to focus on buying players rather than educating them, it’s why Cruyff cut ties with Barca after Rosell
Atleast now laporta has made it clear that la Masia will be again the spine of the 1st team, we currently many youngsters from the academy, our entire defence this season has been from the academy while the strength in midfield is provided by the academy graduates as well and up front rightnow there is fati and Collado, I don't think losing moriba is such a loss considering we currently have riqui puig, Gavi and Nico Gonzalez all in midfield as back ups. Finally the academy is on the right track under laporta. Back in May when laporta was elected he did a cleansing of the academy firing 6 or 7 academy staff including the coach and he has appointed new staff. The club and the academy could have gone downwards if laporta wasn't elected, finally the club has a leader who is a Fan of the club 1st and has leadership.
As a lifetime Barca fan you have blown me away Dougie 👀 I knew it was bad but actually having an outlay of what (The name that should not be spoken) has done to this team is again mind blowing 😰

This is what happens when leeches like Bartomeu infest your club. Thought he knew more about football than people who had been at Barca their whole lives. Barca showed the whole world what the beautiful game can look like. Winning trophies, playing amazing football, and using youth. Now they're broke and the joke of Europe. You can see already Messi isn't where he wants to be. Should've finished his career there but bad management screwed it up. If Barca want to get back to where they were, they need to sacrifice winning and focus on long term development.
You can't tell me this man was not on a mission to destroy Barca. There's absolutely no way a man can be this incompetent, the contracts he was dishing out, the signings etc. It's baffling how there was no vote of confidence cast on him sooner.
Bartomeu is possibly the greatest President in any Club's history. He was exactly what Barcelona deserved for their awful behaviour on and off the pitch. I hope they get a points deduction in relation to their debt.
As a neutral it’s so refreshing to see Barcelona fall from grace and hit reality. For years Barcelona thought they had every right to win something, I’m glad their in the position their in long may it continue
Tbh, I believe every team has a right to win something, that’s what starts healthy competition and the desire to win and accomplish things. Every team succeeding is a good thing as it makes games entertaining and it benefits everyone in the process.
I think he already has,if u look over the last 10 years their better graduates (in terms of career progression) are the ones who left, like carles Perez,Abel Ruiz and even olmo, while puig,Alena and sergi samper either stalled or just failed outright.
Sorry but I don’t agree with any of this. La Masia wasn’t declining or broken, the strategy of the club was the issue. Plenty of la masia graduates are playing across Europe at a top level such as Dani Olmo and Sergi Gomez. It’s the fault of the club for selling prospects and buying French players for stupid money. Abidal, Baromeau etc at fault, not La Masia

Should contract McDonalds instead. It's very healthy food. It's worldwide well known. No doubt best nutrition for footballers.
