little doll savage yes please
little doll savage I read the comment as I watch John wick
The fact that the movie took a direction like THIS, always astounded me. First part and he just saw his dad get dragged and murdered by the darkness.
His father didn. t belive him about boogeyman then get's taken
Dude!

Would be interesting to see a midquel to this that takes place before the main plot
oh boy, i remembered my childhood.
K. Alexandria Thomas or a knife
Yea but nobody remembers this movie
Nostalgic. However desensitized adult critics thought, I was a kid when I saw this and thought it was terrifying and brilliant at the time. Wonderfully dark and imaginative.
1:54 just a story you say? Has a story ever pulled you into the darkness and slam you around the frame of a door?
I THINK NOT.

i believe you thinking of 2:43
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
this movie was pretty lame, but this opening scene was very well done. Still gives me chills :(
Yes, but the scene with a nail gun was great. The man that's a question, does not deny, just starts shooting at the damn thing.
How I felt too. I only remember this scene from the movie. Everything else was mediocre.

remember watching this part from upstairs while my parents would watch it downstairs bc I was too young and it traumatized me for a while😂😂

Audrey Davis tf?!........ 3? Did you even understand something?
If you watch something really scary at a young age, some ppl would be traumatized for awhile or forever.
funny
Ahhhh, back to a time when horror movies were actually horrifying and scary. Good Ole times
I'll take "Worst Moments for 'I Told You So'" for 800, Alex.

Still better than The Bye Bye Man.

Boogeyman checks his closet for John wick before he goes to bed
One thing that always bugs me about this scene is that when the movie starts, it’s goes from outside, into the house, up the stairs and through the door into his room, but then that door becomes the closet, it then becomes the door again for his Dad to come in, and then it’s the closet again. It’s probably nothing but it’s mildly infuriating
2:43 SHIT THAT SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME
I watched this when I was into scary movies and watching CORYXKENSHIN. Ah the good old days
Used too watch this when I was 4 years old. I’ve always had nightmares about it. Even watched the ring. I scream every night and my parents will hear me. But too that day I still watched it. Me 15 now, I’m still watching and don’t scream at all but chill.
THIS SCENE SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME WHEN I WAS KID😨😨
It scared the scrap out of my sisters when we first saw it in a theater because she was turning 11.
Who would win?
The Boogeyman or an F-15 Strike Eagle
This movie was verbally trashed by critics on Rotten Tomatoes. But I am a fan of monster movies, so I really enjoyed it. I'm glad I didn't read their reviews first. This scene where Tim's dad gets dragged into the wardrobe, is sheer genius. The poor kid can only watch in helpless terror. I felt sympathy for the characters, too. There are too many American horror movies where the heroes are empty-headed, bitchy, preppy teenagers, so that you don't care what happens to them. Tim is an interesting hero who still has that frightened little boy in his soul. Sensitively portrayed by Barry Watson.
This scene should have set the pace for the whole movie. Its a shame the rest of the movie wasnt thwt good
If I was that kid I would let the lights in the room stay on all night, even if it cost alot, it's gotten cheaper lately to let lights stay on, atleast in Norway. Oh well, back to the movie!
I would just burn the house tbh
@@Nowan2015 same lmao. Can’t believe I found another dude who thinks like me. If I ever encounter something paranormal in my house, I’m burning everything down, literally. I don’t care if I go to jail
Tim, I don’t wanna alarm you, but there may be a boogeyman or boogeymen in the house.
Now would be a good time to call Mr Wick
And THIS,kids,is why...
YOU SLEEP WITH THE FRICKIN' NIGHT LIGHT ON

@@brxken_drexms280- You wake up in the middle of the night. Everything is dark. Lol
This traumatised me as a kid literally traumatised me. I was scared of closets for years and would often think about it when I was scared
The kids scream when the dad pulls back the covers is so funny 😂😂
Father just died
Boy: ok ima just sit here and watch
This scared the crap out of me when I was little
Pretty well lit dark room
Yeah, for a house in the middle of nowhere
the boogeyman would be running once he hears the sound of a shotgun cocking
He'd run if he saw a pencil in the closet
When the boogeyman goes to sleep every night he checks his closet for chuck Norris.
And for John Wick

It be hilarious seeing a version of Boogeyman being scared of Children lol.

am I the only one that feels sad for anyone that dies in real life and in movies? well a lot of people feel sad when someone dies in real life but not that much in movies:l
Reno Moore i feel sad when the old people die in movies
madea hallowen why not the kids?
Red Gaming i feel and sometimes when people die in movies
Tough road ahead for you kid

I also feel that way about children and animals dying in movies especially dogs.
Oh man no wonder this reminds me of Supernatural cause it done by Eric Kripke
Loved this Film since I first saw it when I was a kid, grown up now I’m a huge Stephen King fan and NEVER KNEW this was based on one of his short stories! 🤯🤯
They have a remake coming out this year
@@JH-dr4xo
It's out now
This is the first horror movie I ever saw in a theater and I remember first watching the beginning of the movie right until they showed him grown up at a party and my sisters were frightened by this movie and didn't want to see it and my sisters were horrified to the point where they started screaming and crying at the scene where Jim's dad is been killed by the boogie man in the closet.
I saw this movie when I was 6-7 yrs old in 2005 and it scared the hell out of me. This and Jeeper Creepers 2.
Well that's unfortunate...
Very unfortunate....
This movie honestly had the potential to be much better if it had better writing and directing. The intro scene was scary and shows that they knew what they were doing but then after that they had no clue how to continue the story so it just started to fall apart.
Who's here for the new 2023 Stephen King's The Boogeyman
Here after watching the 2023 version and this one is way better
Nobody: My clothes on my chair at 3am: alright maybe I'm a monster
I haven't seen this movie in years. I only remember this scene. Specifically the clothes getting up with the chair and falling down when the kid turns on the light.
This is a reason why I hide under my blanket 😂
When Tim was little he had a flashback aka sad 😢 childhood to when he was five years old
Best way to check the closet is with a well thrown flashbang
Me grabbing the shotgun
There's something about this era of horror, its' aesthetic and lively atmosphere make its' realm seem so alive, albeit over the top. This brand of horror, through its' extremities, reveals itself to be both incredibly silly and incredibly effective at the same time.
The movie sucked but this opening scene was/is absolutely terrifying
The Boogeyman isn't a threat to anyone. He just wants to boogey, man. He just wants to get down, so get up on your feet and get down.
Lol in my families Native tongue a boogie is a females woman parts. So growing up when people told me to boogie down…. i told them I couldn’t. I just didn’t have a boogie to put down.
(I’m Filipino but my mother spoke different dialog than tagalog) lol 😂
Dad: dies
Kid: meh I hated him anyway
*Me when i feel like somebodys watching me* OH MA AND PA. DONT LEAVE ME
YOU NAIL THE WINDOW SHUT, ILL GET THE GUN
the real Ghostbusters cartoon villian the boogieman brought me here
Can't wait for stephen kings adaptation!
I watched this movie just for Emily Deschanel.
I’m the boogeyman and I’m coming to get ya
And two hours later his mother got diagnosed with cancer ♋️ and died two hours later
If I saw my father die id be like
"Hell naw I'm outa here"
And now you know why i sleep with my light on
I bout pooped my pants in theatres when he stood up out of the chair
And this is why I hide my M911 under the pillow
Please a Remake!!!
Jyunus Djac yeah man
No way. Movies nowadays are dissapointing
Movies are not disappointing anyway I think horror movies are way better than movies
If this was me I would just freeze and not do anything
When he pointed to the closet I was like, Oh sh## here we go again
Usually nothing happens to the parent when they check the room for monsters. But not that time lol.
I always will love this movie and I hope 🤞 that they make a another movie and I love the boogeyman series and RIP to Skye McCole Rest In Peace you were so cute when this movie came out it sad 😞 that you died young only if you didn’t do drugs you will be alive by now and also Emily Deschanel was so beautiful in this movie and she did a great job in this movie and she was also in Spider-Man 2 2004 she had a small role in that movie and she played Receptionist in that movie and Boogeyman is my favorite of the trilogy and we need a another one I don’t care if it a remake or reboot or Boogeyman 4 just make it Sony like you did the Grudge reboot 2020
Im sure Skye McCole is reading this too. 🙄 Why are you talking to a dead person in the YT comments of a horror movie scene?
John Wick: where's my pencil
Freeze at the start of 2:44 to 2:45 and it looks like he's thinking:
"How's that story going for you?"
He looks scarier than the boogy man
The boogeyman checks underneath his bed for Chuck Norris 🤣
Bizzy Izzy
That be hilarious.
ah bart i dont want alarm you
but boogey man boogeyman in the house
When you tell kids Santa Claus is real but when they believe in Boogeyman instead
Boi, you just watched a coat get up and approach you. Why you breathing a sigh of relief?
My grandpa showed me this when I was 5 and I still am afraid of closets at night
thats sum freaky shit lol
those must've been huge gusts of wind for the lamp and glass of water to fall over.
this movie is the sole reason why i am still afraid of closets. so i fill it with nothing but junk from top to bottom and keep something infront of it
This movie terrified me for YEARS!
BRO I HAD THIS ON FULL VOLUME WITH HEADPHONES
I am honestly not worried! I have John Wick on speed dial, boogeyman is history! Ha Ha Ha Ha
I love how they made the game a movie
This scarred my childhood!
this scene haunt me for the rest of my life. even until now.. I was a kid back then.
*This scene terrified me as a kid and gave me nightmares for weeks. And I felt bad for that child. Agh.*
I never seen this movie as a kid (or even now as an adult), but I do remember seeing the poster for this in theaters when I was a kid and thinking how scary the poster looked. I would by lying if I said it wasn't a good poster because the imagery alone does leave it up to your imagination.
I remember the poster looking scary as well
Where's Major Payne when you need him. He knows how to deal with the Boogeyman
I remember seeing a tv commercial for this on Fox as a kid. Scared me. Been looking for years for it. COuld never find it because I thought it was a show, not a movie!

😔
When the parent was panicking in the closet door, It was like he went into the smile room in the Boy's room.
i think we all seen this when we were young... and it terrified us, but now watching it again, i feel like they should have made it longer, made the dad scream when he was getting tossed around, and blood splatter on the kids face, then have the Boogyman let out a scary roar, drag the dad back in the closet and closet door slams again,, then hear the dad let out a final agonizing scream as his scream fades like he is getting dragged down to the depths of hell.. i feel like that would have traumatized half the population of kids, but it would have been intense to watch again as an adult.
Bart i dont want to alarm you but there might be a boogeyman or boogeyman in the house
Somebody call the Ghostbusters NOW!
Or John Wick
And that's why I'm glad I keep my tv on
This movie really scared the he'll out of me it was so sad he had to grow up without his dad he said it's just a story but in the movie it's not
Bruh it always that pile of clothes on that damn chair. Who else had that scare as kid?
