In many ways, we're just like Tim in this scene. When we were younger, we were scared of the Boogeyman. But once we got older, we realized that the Boogeyman was just a manifestation of our worst fears and in reality, there was nothing to be scared of at all.
Exactly brother you and I and everyone else who created that illusion soon realized that there was nothing there and it was all inside our heads. I'm 25 now and I'm proud to say that I fear nothing in the dark
That's weird, the lesson I took was that as we get older we realize that our fears were all computer animated, and that there is literally nothing in this world that can kill us. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go play in traffic. Those CGI cars aren't going to swirve themselves!
I tried to scare my nephew by telling him the boogie man was gona get him then he started freaking out and crying then he asked me if the boogie man was gona put a booger on him.
I may not be the only one who overcame my fears in the darkness but overcoming the boogeyman inside my closet when I was a kid but seeing this movie when it came out really helped me realize that I was the one who created the boogeyman and from that moment on til this day now that I'm 25, I'm not scared of the pitch darkness Thank you for making this movie and helping others like me overcome their fears because it wasn't easy growing up with fears like this
I tell my kid every time if he doesnt listen, then at night the man in the closet will get him.... Now I wait till he falls asleep and sit in his closet making noises. He never misbehaves anymore.. and always looks tired.... and asks for coffee every birthday and xmas... for gifts... I think Ive raised the perfect child.
Watching this when i was 4 and having nyctophobia along with it traumatized me for over a month. Glad that the effects are ugly that makes this movie funnier now😅
I watched a bootleg of this movie, when it came out, and that made the movie much more scarier. Because it was bootleg, the picture was darker and looked fuzzy. You can still see the characters! Buuut when it was a dark scene, or a scene with the boogeyman... Oooooooooooh boy. As a child, this face me nightmares. But now watching this? Mannnn 99% of the scare was taken away when the picture was brightened lmao
part 1 he looks like a nerdy homeless man part 2 his a skeleton in a hoodie part 3 he looks like a grim reaper with long hair why does he change his appearance in every part can someone tell me because it doesn't say so on the Internet
Chad Hendricks "He has many names and takes on different forms (and even genders), but every culture on Earth knows him: the shadowy, elusive, diabolical entity who feasts on a strict diet of naughty children. He may be evil incarnate, but he also has an uneasy alliance with desperate parents who can’t get their kids to bed on time. We know him as the boogeyman, but it turns out that every culture has a name for this figure who goes bump in the night. Parents around the world agree: fear is an excellent motivator."
Guys If you don’t know there was a game like advertising this movie it was called escape the boogeyman which actually worked like this movie to survive the boogeyman just don’t open the moving doors or you would get catched by the boogeyman so yeah when your flash light goes out oh yeah forgot there was a flashlight mechanic so yeah like this when it. Runs out the boogeyman catches you to also watch out for the sounds behind the doors oh yeah forgot it kinda works like the movie I guess? But also the boogeyman is a fiction legend like this i think the boogeyman comes for bad children but if your here I think the first part of the movie works like this so like the dad atleast I think is the dad walks in this kids room and the boogeyman catches him and What your still here?! Looks like you caught me Bruh when do you go away GO
when I was a kid I was sleeping in my room I think I've heard noises or I had a dream that it was dark in my room but something was gonna get me so I think that could be the boogeyman which that make sense

I'm so embarrassed that I was actually afraid of this movie when it came out

I’m guessing we all were 🤣🤣
To be fair, there are a lot of cheap jumpscares.

David Lopez ikr it scared me a little when I was watching it but it was scary just not to scary
Scared me too lol
Yup. I was one of those kids.

I like this movie along with Barricade.
This Boogeyman is clearly taking extreme measures in order to feed on the guy's fear. Most Boogeymen aren't this aggressive.
He sensed Tim was overcoming his fear, thus becoming increasingly desperate to make him afraid again
@@georgeatkins7411 Makes sense.

Yeah like Freddy Krueger and Pennywise although I don't think they would go to extreme measures like this.

If you want your fears to be gone. you gotta face them
so basically the boogeyman was the less scary twin brother of Eddie, Iron Maiden's mascot....

It terrified everyone of us as kids but we're grown and now we know it was all in our heads
Man, can those effects get any worse? XD
I cant believe this movie gave me phobias of closets when I was a kid. Couldn’t sleep those nights lol. I was only 7 when this movie came out
This monster was too powerful he can close doors automatically and he can close the door in the closet
Lmao this Boogeyman got lucky he didn't kill a man's dog, who has specialties with a pencil

THE BABAYAGA

The Babadook?
I like to think the items he smashes are like Horcruxes.
Especially since the Boogeyman uses the items as a means of taking the shape of what someone fears the most, akin to a Boggart
