Chris Webber (40pts/10rebs/10asts) vs. Warriors (1995)

- C-Webb records a triple double in his third game against his former Warriors team and, moreover, does that on an injured ankle and a nagging shoulder injury (which would ultimately side-line him for the season). Golden State looks exactly like a team who is on the second night on a back-to-back and their comparatively small front-line gets over-powered and out-ran by an energetic Webber. He finishes a few dunks and when he isn't attacking the hoop himself (18/25 FG), he was quite willing to spread the ball around.
At times his unselfishness almost seemed exaggerated and he himself admitted after the game that he was aiming to reach that triple double. But, hey, guess what - unselfish bigs who pass the ball and know how to do it are fun to watch. Plus, it probably does have an overall good effect on the team. A certain play might suffer because of it, however, it's cool to have a leader who sets the tone for how much the ball should be shared. December 27, 1995. - Спорт
Webber was incredible and sadly forgotten due to circumstance.
One of the most athletic, instinctive and fundamentally sound players of that position ever.
Chris Webber in today's game would be a nightmare. He'd have more freedom to dribble and shoot from the 3. He was a modern big stuck in a 90s style game
Severely underappreciated and marginalized by the media. None of the PFs had his skillset. NONE of them.
Chris Webber had the best court vision and passing ability of any big I've ever seen play
You never seen sabonis den
Aaron Stevenson better than sabonis
Watch a couple more bigs
Shoney Carpenter like who?
squints p like others listed above, Aryvdas Sabonis but also look at clips of Bill Walton and Vlade Divac.
I was at this game. Webber was phenomenal.
Webber ur toooooo underrated.
Jordan even thought this was the team of the future once they added Rod Strickland. But GM Wes Unseld broke it up before they even had a chance.
Yea traded Rasheed for rod could you image Frontline of Wallace,Webber, Howard but Wes have away young bigs for old guards not disrespect to rod or Mitch I love them
Someone should do a 1995 to 2001 what if about Washington bullets / wizards Webber rasheed Wallace and Howard as there building blocks
This bullets team was so exciting being from D.C. Made u so proud
I wish they kept Robert Pack and Rasheed Wallace along with the others.
Biggest frontline ever. Webber, Howard, Muresan
Bird, Mchale and Parish says hello.
man, that team, i remember wtching them as a kid, webber was a beast
Most underated passing big man was before his time in a game we see know
This Bullets team also had a rookie called Rasheed Wallace.
My favorite Bullets team with Robert Pack running the point.
Cwebb was my man! Robert Pack man he was good too esp in Denver...I felt sorry for Webber when he was in bullets all those years! I wish he stayed in GS with spreewell, mullins, Hardaway, richmond and lol Billy owens!
Webber makes Joe smith look second rate..Don Nelson ate his pride that day
That no look at 00:51 makes me proud to be a wolverine
wizards had webber, Wallace, and howard. 3 pf too many, so they traded webber and Wallace and kept howard. these GM's are the luckiest, who else can make millions just to make stupid decisions
allstacmsfa they had Ben and rasheed Wallace
preach
I remember seeing Chris at a mall a few days after he was traded. He wanted no parts of Sacramento when he was traded there. He actually wanted to stay with the Wizards. It's bad enough that they traded him but they traded him for a smaller player (Mitch Richmond) who was never going to have the same impact. Even worse they traded multiple future first round picks to get Chris in the first place.
Worst trades of all time image Wallace and Webber and Howard up front also traded away Rip Hamilton and Ben Wallace we had 3 5ths of there championship team
Loved that 95-96 bullets team wishy pack and Webber ain’t get hurt and a young Rasheed Wallace
Pack was so good in that brief time he was a Bullet. They had Mark Price, too. Man, if they ould have stayed healthy…
The most skilled PF in NBA history! No 🧢
ha! Legler out there feasting as well.. damn, haven't thought about some of these names in forever... Joe Smith, Rony Seikley, Robert Pack, Mark friggin' Price!!
Bullets had really a good team in that era...
I was at this game. I remember a few days before they played the Warriors in Oakland. Someone blocked Chris's shot and stared him down. He was getting payback here.
WOW! so long since i've seen a Bullets game. Had a love hate relationship with this team in the 90s for sure
The Fab 2...Webber was dominating Joe Smith lol
His Iq and feel for the game was on another level
I remember watching this one live. Good times.
what a fun passing team
I couldn't wait to see webber, hardaway, and Sprewell. then webber gets traded. I thought that warriors team 1994-1995 were going to win it all.
Chhrriiiiiss weebbeeerrr while playing in Sac-Town... miss that P.A.... yo webber was a beast yall foreals... he just missed due to teammates
I went to so many of these games..the Cap Centre would get loud AF when Webber would throw it down. Was some good times...500 basketball aside
Webber is a 🐐
Chris Webber when he was healthy, was an excellent two-way power forward in the NBA. But Wizards (as they're called now) didn't get to see a healthy Chris Webber at the Capital Centre very often.
The most important idol in my life, I like a star from 10 to 30
I still to this day don't understand how webber was the warriors #1 pick and lived up to it in his first season (at least he did in stats even though team was out in the 1st round) and then the very next year gets traded can anyone please explain to me why this move was made???????
Gilby Moody he didn't get along with Don Nelson
glarrave wow really I never knew that and I'm 32 and I didn't hear too much about that was there a bunch of Rumblings at that time about them not getting along?
305 G the irony is that Don was out of GS just a short time later
Legend has it Joe Smith was seen later that night wandering the streets of Washington drinking something from a brown sack, screaming obscenities at passersby
As talented as that team was, they were .500 winning percentage... That's how good the NBA was back then
lol...joe smith. he's no ordinary joe they said...
He had that one hand hook down pack
The Lavar Arrington of the NBA
They had a good ass team and I forget why he was traded
omg this team wah hot
Juan Howard reminds me of Kyle Kuzma lol
This was BASKETBALL .. I don't care how "skilled" these players are today it just doesn't compare to this era .. not even close!? I could watch a replay from any team of the 90's over a current BS NBA game these days!? They hardly even block out anymore much less play any kind of defense!? I MISS REAL BASKETBALL!!!
the rook Karl Anthony Towns reminds me a lot of Webber
........
Someone is going to die.
If only Steve Kerr was the coach.
Another great the NBA purposeless sabotaged his career because he was a average black person. Man could play inside, shoot a deep 2, hit a 3, pass, and run the fast break.
