    I'm not professional mechanic. But I assume if the Hyundai went through a tuning stage process you have that fourth cylinder to fire up then a 3 cylinder to get more power if people like tuning modification process. On normal roads everyday driving no difference from either vehicle. 30mph speed limit is 30 by law for both vehicles. No difference in excitement. It all boils down to what you fancy buying own preference.

  • @somat111
    @somat111 2 года назад

    That was fun but hardly scientific, do you guys use proper measuring devices for the magazine article? 100km/h on the vehicle speedometers could easily be plus or minus 5km/h also as the Fiesta was ABS-ing during the stop it could probably use better rubber as brake rotor size on its own doesn't necessarily mean a vehicle will stop in a shorter distance but it will stop more often before fade sets in as there is more surface area to absorb heat. But of course as the i20N is track focused I'd assume it would have better rubber and bigger rotors compared to the street focused Fiesta ST, even though it probably has a track mode.

    • @1989rs500

      Actually the Fiesta has better runner Mischelling Piloy 4s tires. The Fiesta is caliberarated differently..
      Braking test is actually kind f awkward as the Fords front diff and eDiff prefers to ve less fade and less interference by rotors when driven out f corner.. Thats why the Fiesta is more balanced while mid corner braking is done.. Its more to do with balance unlike raw stopping power.

      I think you don't get it properly see.. Stopping a car from say 100 to 0 is a good parameter for a road car.
      These are hot hatches..
      The Fiestas braking system intentionally bleeds speed in a slower manner to aid more control.
      Eg. U r taking a corner at 100 kmph. Fiesta STs combination of long pedal+gradual speed bleed makes it much easier to control it mid corner as opposed to grabby bite.. Also the brake fade will be less/lap.
      Both cars ve taken different route for achieving what they want. Ultimately both r great cars.. But after spending some serious time n both f these I liked Fiesta ST better. More mature and yet playful when one needs it 2 do that.
      I20N s always playful.. Kind f an over excited puppy.

Instead of taking on the merits of both these low cost hot hatches, that are still relevant and fairly quick around smaller circuits, you feel the need of being "the man" comparing a purpose built homolgated GR to a sports variant of a passenger based production hatchback. Many refer to this behaviour, or in some cases this condition, as trolling.

      @@gamag792 do you consider the price of the GR to be expensive - I sure don't - starting at 30k in the UK, that's inexpensive in my book. Sounds like you are a bit of a dummy
