A crossroads between Europe and Asia, Istanbul has always been a city full of contradictions. But as the economic hothouse booms, and a new, Islamic middle-class emerges, mini-skirts and mosques collide.
Ayse runs a cafe in the upper class Bebek district, an area of clubs and couture. She describes her wealthy lifestyle as 'cosmopolitan', comparing her city to New York. Her chef, Rafet, sees Istanbul very differently: "I have nothing at all in common with these people. My life and theirs are poles apart". On the other side of town, religious Anatolians like Rafet live far more modestly. Divided along both economic and religious lines, the more secular elites and the emerging Islamic middle class may be living side by side, but the gulf between them is huge.

Really? This is the class divide? Come to Mumbai and I will show you what a real class divide is.
Mohamet Ahmed bro you dont know the real elite
I think I do. Here some of the richest people in the world live just a few hundred feet from the poorest.
Mohamet Ahmed exactly
Immortici Cee why would ethnic Hindi muslims go to a different culture country. thats like saying why aren't Germans muskims going to saudi
There was no such concept/idea of Hindu India, India was born as a secular Democracy. It was a choice for Muslims to either stay in India of leave for Pakistan so Indian Muslim are as Indian as a Hindu or anyone else.
Come to London its the same thing. Luxury and Poverty are living side by side. This guy is just trying to victimize Istanbul.
Yep couldn't agree more.
So true!
london is the snobbest place
maybe they tried to show that Turkey has a super rich side, I found te program valid
CanYouFindTheWay Victimize? London is on top of the economy, Istanbul is based in a third world country. You are a joke
so there is income disparity. super rich and horribly poor people. welcome to every major american city
This is aimed at Europeans
No one says it's not bad at all. It's just that it's a common problem in today's world.
Victor O'Rourke exactly
Are you serious? I’m an American and it’s not even bad here. Go to any third world country and you’ll see what bad is. There middle class is virtually nonexistent.
america is a shithole worthless toilet ruled by a lunatic
"when it comes to business, Dogudan is a typical Turk" - proceeds to speak in German with a Bavarian or Austrian accent.
Couldn't help but chuckle ;D
Thought the same, wait a minute he is speaking Germanen
When you speak English to a British or American, they always say your English is great, although you make mistakes. When you try to speak to a German in German, they always stop you to correct your mistakes or don't like your accent. Always speak English to a German, not even few German words for compliment :)
@@oguzb.7033 while I somewhat agree with your statement, you completely missed the point of my comment. I wasn't making fun of his German, as there is nothing to make fun of, he is very obviously a native speaker (or came to Germany/Austria) as a child and is as fluent as I am. I had to chuckle because the combination of "typical Turk" and him starting to speak in German was funny to me.
And contrary to your statement (which might hold true in general), I hold people ,who have the courage to speak in a language they aren't fluent in, in very high regards and would never mock someone based on that.
oguz b. Oh damn, that sucks! I see tho
Greifvogel Paradoxical, indeed
"In Business he is a typical turk" *starts speaking german with a strong bavarian dialect* hahahahahahaha
It's hilarious how badly the narrator is butchering the Turkish names :D
it butchered me
As a long time foreign resident of this city, I find the first two interviews terribly misguiding. Istanbul has its own unique culture and soul which top 1% knows absolutely nothing about it.
Joy Divisione well said Joy
Joy Divisione its a complete propaganda and one that's intended to miss guide. I don't believe a single word of it.
Top %1 controls the İstanbuls economic life so they know quite a lot
Can you talk some more about the top 1% of Istanbul’s upper class? How do they view their country ?
Theres also a part which only people in top %1 see and feel
I liked Istanbul, so interesting, great food, great buildings, Topkapi Palace, The Blue Mosque, The Bazaars, Graveyards Tombs and so many other places of interest. Outside Istanbul fantastic Roman and Greek Archeological sites too numerous to mention and great beaches. What's not to like.
erdogan would be a good place to start.

Scott Zagoria the devil carried on.😡
not Istanbul, *CONSTANTINOPOL* .
@@fyurerys why constantinople? Because it was once the polis of constantin? Maybe you didnt notice but its not the city of constantin anymore. Get over it...
Seriously, every city on Earth is like this. Esspeacially the major ones. That's not Istanbul, that's how capitalism works.
Long live socialism
Hilarious considering in the Soviet Union and China before the 90s, their best scientists live in a separate city and their party leaders live in separate building blocks with their own shops, not mixed with the rest of the folks.
Exactly
The poor flock to the cities to catch the crumbs the rich sprinkle down on them. They think they will make it big in cities but they realize very quickly that they are meant to be wage slaves and to remain that way.
Blame capitalism for all your problems but none of your fortunes! 🤣
18:13 Actually, this is a wrong info. In 2007 or 2008 Turkish Constitutional Court romeved that ban and gave a full freedom for headscarves, even in the Parliament. During the voting, tens of thousands of seculars protested outside in favour of the ban. In Turkey, some of seculars acting like a bitch. They want a westernised modern but non-free country like the days before Erdogan´s party.
Literally every single thing in this video can be said for New York City.
Minus the religious
not all elites speaks german, only this this document productor selected them. who migrated to Turkey from german speaks states
i think its the other way around. no one migrates from germany to turkey they all are turks lol
there are actually less than 50k. And I bet most of them are actually turks who carry the german citizenship
I don't understand why Internet Hindus are so bitter about Turkey, wondering if Turkey did anything bad to India. Can't be jealousy because there is no comparison since India is a 3rd world country with a GDP per capita under $2k and Turkey is a middle power with over $10k. I am curious. Edit: Changed 'Hindus' to 'Internet Hindus'. I have nothing against Hindu religion. They are beautiful human beings.
Mohi Hashmi they are bitter about anyone, about Arabs, africans, turkey etc...
Mohi Hashmi because of they worship cows and they want all humans believe cows
I too don't understand why a pakistani is more curious about turkey than his own country 😂😂.

the woman speaking around 4:50 says that she reads the quran in old turkish and prays in old turkish. I don't really know what she means by that but she definitely doesn't say "arabic".
"islamic country" is an incorrect phrase to use as well; especially for turkey. it's a muslim dominated state but a secular republic.
on the other hand what is "living islamic" and "living by lay traditions" to you? they sound very much like made-up and superficial terms. some practise quran some not. some practise this way some another.
you also used the term anatolia and istanbul so often as they were of 2 different regions. however, istanbul's eastern side lies on the anatolian peninsula too which is just a geographical term while istanbul is a city.
lastly, the kemalist criteria for national identity is simply being a turkish citizen and sharing the same language, and/or sharing values, a common history, and the will to share a future. those who protect and promote the moral, spiritual, cultural and humanistic values of the turkish nation are nationalists.
Deniz T well said
Actually, old turkish refers to arabic letters.

You deny western civilisation but cant even build anything. Thats why your people steal.

Well Manhattan is Upper Middle
Turkey is awesome. Great food, great people and the geography.....breathtaking....
especially my favorite city to visit, Istanbul.
Turkey won't admit to the Armenian Genocide, Assyrian Genocide and Greek Genocide it carried out
Bad things happened in war's and it was Armenia who declared war against turkey and attacked them.(Trusting the UK & Allies knowing that millions of Armenians lived in Turkey (OE)) Stop spreading hate idiot. We have to learn from it not blaming each other after century's.
MetalKing36 Except these were deliberate targeted killings aka a genocide
I know what a genocide is. There are a couple of country's who didn't admit the Genocide they did in the past. Even the US didn't admit it yet. Like i said bad things happened in war's.
MetalKing36 This was a genocide end of story.

Sounds a lot like Brazil, although they are richer and closer to Europe the us. I think the growth of religion and conservatism in recent years is a world-wide issue.
F. OPE true

Not richer just their taste looks richer than Brazilians.
Brazil is way weathier but income gap is much worse. however the lavish life style in Istanbul is widespread. The increasing meddling of regious communities in brazilian politics today is worrisome.
Thank you for sharing this. For me the earth in Istanbul is made of gold but of course Istanbul is a city of 16 or what millions where so many interests collide and so of course there's gonna be divide. These kinds of divides and segregation are the ugly flip of the coin in today's world cities. Istanbul for me is the greatest city on earth because I'm very personally attached to the city and I dare say that the old parts of town are objectively stunning but in reality it has actually so much wasted potential. Economic growth could be used to really transform it into the greatest city on earth. A public transport system that can actually handle that amount of people, creation of green spaces, road pricing, preparing the city for the big earthquake that will inevitably strike, QUALITY education for everyone (in Turkey) and what not. Instead we see gentrification on every street corner and even whole neighbourhoods like Tarlabaşı destroyed. And the fact that the majority poor AKP voters actually cheer that on is beyond me!! Of course I'm aware that many of these problems existed long before AKP rule but man they've been fueling it! Also I do acknowledge positive developments like the expansion of the metro system and the network slowly starting to be connective but why build even more roads then? It just means more cars! Anyways I'm off topic now and could go on forever. Anyways, love my Istanbul. PEACE!
you should cover the middle class rather than elite class and the poor class of istanbul, middle class is the real class which are builders of the real nation. it looks like elite class is being imported from europe (they don't even bother to speak turkish language, rather speak german) and the poor class from the turkish villages.
Nothing wrong for being multilingual. Since ORF targets german speaking audience, he uses german. Many Turks speak multiple languages whenever its necessary.
Many Turks speak multiple languages whenever its necessary? Amma da abarttın be kardeş:))
Orion Lord You think I'm Greek😂My great great grandma was one but I'm a turk

hammad shakil it was probably required for them to speak in the foreign languages they knew
Income inequality does not have to do anything with big cities. It's just due to the fact that people are ignorant, pro-neoliberalism (knowing or not knowingly) and are against social policies that can eliminate disparity in a society. Saying "lots of poor people in a city is normal" just is idiotic.
Bingo .... Finally Someone who gets it, neoliberalism is such a disease 😷😷, but good luck trying to explain this to the ignorant masses that always unknowingly work against their own interests 🤔 the masses for some strange reason identify with the rich and not with each other.
Oh please! Even in NY rich and poor live divided.🙄 This is happening everywhere even in the UK, the cities flourish while other parts of the country are left undeveloped and economically depressed. If you wanted to show that the working class are not living well then you failed, they do not live lavishly but they are not living badly.
When I see Istanbul and other parts of modern day turkey I feel so close to home … It looks like where I should be to me I know my family generations and generations back would love to have one of their sons to go back to our home soil doesn’t matter that it’s today a different country it’s still our home too so anyone from the Anatolian region should consider themselves brothers
More Money = Less Religious
200 % Truth
Kemal Ataturk was a visionary, but his vision is getting shattered slowly but surely by the present government.
As a turk ı can sadly say that this is correct :/
see a youtuber called Caspian Report he have a video called the "Turkish Mindset"
Orion Lord I cannot believe how ignorant and historically inaccurate you are. Even if your claims were "true", Atatürk was not part of the Young Turks government, in fact at that date he was a commander at Gallipolli. Stop going around videos related to Turks and spread false propaganda, come with real documents in which your government still deny to have an open debate about it. You grow up with hatred against Turks and all your motivation in life is to spread that around, and whine to western europe.
Burak Yarol sen de tam bir aptalsın. Biraz tarih oku be, senin yerine utandım. Gerçi Türk olduğunu da düşünmüyorum.
i dont think you havent ever heard about Turkey 20 years ago, even the 'poor guy' is going to buy his second house that was impossible 20 years ago,and the unemployment is not 17% but just 11% procent..i would say make some research and see the truth..of course our country or government is not perfect but which country or government is??
Which city in this globe is not divided? Come and see Milano. The difference between Montenapoleone and Cormano?
In Mumbai India the richest man in India Mukesh Ambani has his house worth 2 billion dollars (Costliest house in the world) just 1000 meters away from people who live in shanties.

so many ppl compare first world countries with the rest of the world...thats wrong. A horribly poor person in america can be a rich man in a third world country.
@@techstepman Haha let me tell you some facts so you might not take a disastrous decision of moving to a third world country lol. The broad categories pertaining to a person's wealth are poor, lower middle class, middle class, upper middle class, rich and ultra rich. I am from Pakistan, a poor country from the third world. Here a small family with two kids need at least $10k per month to be classified rich. I don't think a horribly poor person or even couple earn $10k a month in America and I have seen most people earning between $800 to probably $2000 a month. With that kind of amount you won't be in poor category in Pakistan but lower middle to middle class.
@@MohiHash ...i live in a second world country...i dont intend to move anywhere, why did you assume that? In africa there are countries that you can get by for a month or more with 1 dollar, those are true third world countries...pakistan has nukes...and its a "third" world country cause of politics/religion (i understand that in pakistan most of the time those 2 are the same thing) and the amount they invest in weapons. Strong country= poor ppl. My country only has one tiny nuke reactor and thats just for research in a university...pakistan is not a poor country...not by a long shot.
You assumed you were talking to a stupid person...and made many wrong statements. Think again pakistans situation. I'd say pakistan is considered a third world country cause of the sociopolitical situation...which affects its economy. You got the resources to be a first world country. Now compare pakistan with an african country...one that has little drinking water with diseases everywhere and tribal warfare... where you can live really well with 50 dollars per month provided you can keep yourself away from predatory animals and bullets...50 dollars is about the amount of money a homeless beggar can make in one day in new york...which they usually spend on alcohol and drugs...if they saved up they could get out of the streets...
The guy that said you see more hijabs now but it's just fashion. No it isn't... Turkey is slowly falling back to the old Islamic way, its sad that the only nation in the muslim world that had a good separation of religion and state is falling back...
Erdogan panders to the muslim extremists of the country and Ataturk is rolling in his grave
Ataturk would be angry that our country is being ruled by an Islamist party but there's a difference between hijab and head scarf. My granny wears a headscarf not because she's muslim but because it's in his culture. Headscarf can be seen in Balkans and Russia as well. Islamists on the other hand try to change the meaning of headscarf to increase their popularity among people.

VeryLongUsernameThat Doesn'tMakeTooMuchSense 1 those were some instances which I think Turks would not be proud for killing some pregnant women but it is now the past. I see Turkey treating its minority a lot better than the USA and South America mistreating their black and Indian citizens.
I get the concept of the documentary but it's bringing it over like turkey is the only Islamic country that has this, I live in Morocco and we have the same even more of this modernity most women here don't wear a headscarf and do wear miniskirts for example, and of course there is the poor side, but this is in almost every Islamic country, tradition goes hand in hand with modernity.
Real Turk cannot be muslim, and the muslim cannot be a Turk. Islam puts man above woman however Real Turkish religion Tengrism puts woman above man. Real Turks are secular. Those islamic fundamentalists either lost their identity or they are kurds.
***** Thats bs. In islam men above women. To be exact men can treat women as commodity. In shariah court women testimony consider half valid compared to men. In Shariah countries like Parkistan and Saudi arabia raping women or underage girls very common practice. Shariah law penalize only victim while men allowed to rape more or can force victim to marry the rapist.

It's the same in Colombo, the contrast between the rich and the poor are almost identical to that of Istanbul.
The video pointed out the issue like it’s in uncountable levels. Classes might be divided but not as much as most European countries
Turkey is seeking to adapt modern western values in order to build wealth. Western wealth was not built with modern values, it was built in the past, when the west eschewed Christian values. You need only look at modern Israel, or pre-60's America to see how fast Judeo-Christian values build weath. In terms of wealth, Israel is what it is after 60 years, and America rose from the dust in where it was post WW2, in only 190 years. In terms of debt to asset ratios, America has never been wealthier than it was in the 50's, when it singularly paid for the re-construction of Western Europe and Japan. Aside from America itself, these are still the world's wealthiest regions.
However, Christianity does not inherently assert itself, and secularization happened. America and Western Europe have been getting steadily poorer since the 60's, and it's because westerners no longer adhere to the values that made them wealthy.
Unlike Christianity, Islam does inherently assert itself. It's not going anywhere. But, unlike Christianity, Islam is not conducive to building wealth. Historically and today, Islamic nations are and have only been wealthy when sitting on surplus natural resources or conquering other nations. Arabs are wealthy because of Oil, and the ottomans were wealthy because of Jihad. If Turkey becomes modern (i.e. Liberal) it will not find itself wealthy. It will find itself going in the same direction of Europe and the United States over the past 57 years. And yet, if Turkey reaffirms Islam...Welp.
dont worry Israel is not very religious in fact it has the most Gay city in world. America is not very Christian yes and being less so . Ok Russia is...What about that ? China as well becoming Christian... IRAN...the fastest growing place for Christians..right now....Will that mean Iran will be a great power?
SAVAŞÇI NÖKER Slavs are quite religious.
Yes ottomans became rich by jihad and europeans built wealth by praying to god with their equal african, indian, aborigin friends. WTF???
This is the most stupid i have read FUCK CHRISTANITY
Europe and United states become rich by stealing, robbing, and colonizing 😂😂
Attaturk would turn in his grave if he saw how Erdogan is changing Turkey back to how it was when Attaturk fought to modernize it. Allah Allah ya.
Why do some Turks talk german? Turkish sound way better

Ataturk abandoned Islam, and even threw away the Khilafah. The only good he did was kick the westerners out.
Andrej Turan What I meant was the occupying powers. He liberated the Aegean coast from the Greek, he liberated the south from the French, British and Kurds, he liberated the east from the Armenians, and he liberated Istanbul from the British. Can i ask something, what percentage of Turkish population is actually "white" ? I have watched a lot of Tdramas and it feels like more than 80 % of cast appears to be white. But i have read on several websites that tdramas often try to portray Turkish society as an modern European like, but in reality most of the country is actually very conservative Islamic kind of. They also try to portray Turkish people as white while majority of Turkish are brown skinned like Arab or Indian. Some say original turks were mongoloid looking people while some say they are Arab looking. Now i do know that Turkish people are multiethnic and a mixture of various races and cultures pretty much like most of world. Turkish people have wide genetics like Arab, central Asian, southern asian, east European.
Its interesting to see the little girl in the beginning of the video who had blonde hair because we thought blond hair only appear among northern and western Europeans. It's unlikely that a little girl will dye her hair so how common is blond hair in Turkey ?
P.s I apologise beforehand if my comm. Comes across as racist or offensive. I do not mean that i am just curious because i watch lot of Turkish dramas and movie and i love them 💖
I am just a 18 year old teen who is obsessed with Turkish drama like many are with kdramas.
Turkish people aren't all brown skinned. Turks are from the Turanid branch of the Europid group, one of the four major white racial groups.
For instance I'm brunette but my brother is blonde and has blue eyes, my mother has green eyes and she has pale skin.
I also notice that the wealthy Turks look lighter than most other Turks.
Maybe they're mixed with European Turkey was Greek and Roman territory for 1,200 year untill 1500 when Ottoman Empire invaded and take over 🤔
Real Turks were close to siberia and they were very blonde.Brunette ones are mixed with greeks and other
This isn't strictly true.
Unfortunately this video is misleading in many ways, it’s done with an agenda, the pastry chef doesn’t go to some slum after his prestigious job, he himself is quite progressive.
at least they don't have homeless people as new york do🤔
Ben 3 yıl evsiz yaşadım sirkecide kaldım 2001 2004 arası
Constantinople ❤
Yes poor and rich is divided but when Im speaking to a foreigner I cant say that because, in usa poor means homeless (we have no homeless), in india poor means starving (we have no one hungry), in brazil poor means being killed or being criminal (we dont have high crime rates like brazil or usa). So Istanbul is not divided as other big cities.
Turks are quite mixed up. On the one hand, they kinda feel superior to the 'imperialist racist west' as they are followers of Islam, which in their view is the 'true' religion of peace, equality and brotherhood. On the other hand, they can't give up the pleasure of reminiscing about the 'glorious' Ottoman empire of the past and in this way, identify themselves with the European 'master' races that ruled the world.
I have been in Istanbul in 2015 and I loved it. To me a true mix of middle east and european architecture, lots of people, where East meets the West
Turkey is not a Middle eastern country but a Mediterrenean country , because Turkey has got the longest Mediterrenean shore , 3 parts of Turkey is surrounded by sea , Black sea in north , Mediterrenean sea in south and Aegean sea in west of Turkey and also we have got one inner sea in istanbul Marmara sea , we have got 4 cilmates , we have got differnt foods and vegetables , for example Turkey is the first in the world in cherry production , and we have got Mediterrean life style , as physical appearance and way of living we do not look like Middle Easterns but we look the other Mediterrenean countries like Italy , Greece , Spain , Turks roots are not from Middle Eastern countries but from Central Asia and at least % 70 roots of Turkey is from Central Asia and the others are some Arabs , some Kurds , some Caucasians , some from Balkans and also we have got Armenian , Greek , jews minorities.
@@canparem2710 but our oldest ancestors were central asians. They mixed with native anatolians
@@canparem2710 Yes we are not middle eastern country. We have big differences
The class is not a problem at all, but, the religion is.Why? because the power is held by Turkey Islams. That is why Turkey is Islmizing its own people and people of the world.
The worst thing is The Turkish leader is full of confidence that he can even Islamize the world easily, that is why he is wondering to the countries around the world.

You can’t be a male fashion designer and not wear a scarf.
My parents came from Asian side of the anatolia to the istanbul
I spent a lot of time in Istanbul and turkey and loved it ! Much better place then where I was born australia. Life is so exciting in Turkiye and social but there is a huge divide between rich and poor.
You sure? If you like it so much perhaps we can have it in reverse, you give me your citizenship in australia, I in turn give my citizenship to you.
Truly beneficial
@@borakeskin7872 I am dual citizen but was not born Turkish citizen as my father didn’t notify Turkish consulate about my birth so I wouldn’t need to do my army but I paid 10 thousand dollars to get my citizenship because I love Turkiye so much.
Which is the country that doesn't have class?
70 % of unemployment ratio? BS!
17%
This is life is temporary. You died and move the other side.
I've been reading and learning about Turkey for some time, even though I'm not an expert. Yet, when I read about Turkey's social division I cannot help to notice that the so-called "elite" in reality are mostly white Turks of Greek/Balkan descent who assimilated to Islam or were forced into it.
On the other hand, the working class Turks are mostly of Asian origin which means they descent of Central Asians, where the original Turks came from, or Middle East like Kurdistan.
The question here is how long will this precarious balance last, it seems the failed coup in '16 was the last attempt of the mostly white/secular Turks to cling to power, but Erdogan won and purged nearly half of the top officers in the Military.
I suspect that Turkey will become something like the emirate States in the Middle East: somehow very modern economically but still very Muslim in it's essence. It will be interesting to follow.
But I cannot stop finding fascinating the fact that White Turks seem to have more in common with Europeans or Americans than with their own non-White countrymen who were raised in the same city.
So, I wanna ask the Turkish people, is there a racial problem in Turkey?? Is people in general aware that there is a racial issue or mostly they disagree? Do white Turks avoid mixing with Asian Turks?? Do people speak about "Racism" as such or they just mention "social difference"??
There's no racism in Turkey, maybe only against Kurds but that's another story...We never really looked like our cousins in Asia, we always had that Caucasian look so most of the Turks that migrated were already somewhat white...ln fact we didn't mix with the local population because it was against Turkish customs to marry a foreigner...But after the fall of Ottoman Empire many Turks and the ones who were loyal to Turks had to migrate to todays Turkey, we had millions of Turks coming back from Balkans and those people had blue eyes, white skin and blond hairs on top of that millions of people from Caucasia region also migrated to Turkey, we had both Turkish ethnic groups in them and also some foreigners who were loyal to us and they had for example white skin and red hairs :D after the second world war we had another refugee wave but this time it was from Crimea, back in the day it was controlled by Tatars and they were close cousins to Turks we basically spoke the same language and had similiar cultures but after WW2 Russians invaded that place and massacred so many of them, afterwards nearly 1,5 million of them migrated to Turkey and others went to Central Asia...Tatars married local population which is you know Russians, Ukranians and other caucasian groups and therefore had also European looks in them...he ones who look darker are for example Kurds, they originally come from lran but even Kurds differ in look.
oh and the last coup attempt was done by an lslamic cleric so it had nothing to do with White Turks as you call it.
the Secular Turks were mostly migrant who suffered and saw the decline of the empire so they didn't want that to happen again so they started to educate themselves, go to Universities and eventually became more powerfull...the ones who lived Anatolia were mostly conservative and poor, they were farmers they never really educated themselves that's why they never come to power but again that was because the Ottomans never took care of them.
Thanks for the info, it's interesting. I once read that as much as one third of the Turkish population are actually descendants of Muslim refugees from the Balkans.
It will be interesting to follow how the events unfold in Turkey in the near future since all this forces are still struggling without finding a middle ground.
Victor Hugo then you've read the wrong things from beginning to end "white Turks" term is not related to ethnic classification this is used as a political term just a funny political term in Turkey btw we have not caste system like India LOL
Victor Hugo you are seeing what you want to see. White women were brought by boatloads as sex slaves and harem girls which were obviously for the upper class. So yeah the upper class is made up of white sex slave kids. Lol
No there are many Turks that marry the central asian Turks mainly kyrgyz

Turkey is a blessed place with Broad minded people, it's gonna be superpower by 2023.
Lol trust me my neighbours can't even guess my gender Because I look so European 😂😂Turkey got fucked in 2003😢😢😣😣
'Turkey's gonna be a superpower by 2023', yeah, sure... Just like how North Korea thinks they're the best in the world..
True, but in the meantime it's the same country where you can get beaten up because you could either be smoking or eating during ramadan in public, beaters wouldn't be presecuted. A man can kick a woman because the fact that she's wearing shorts is wrong in Islamic law, and get away with it.
Millions of children are sent to religious schools from elementary to university, raised by religious laws and education. Can you guarantee such educational system won't get corrupted meanwhile it's not even uncommon to hear kids regardless of their gender are getting abused at religious institutes that provide accommodation or education to them?
You live in a country that trains militants of tens of thousands and then deploy them to war zone, who we realise are the people that scream the divinity of their deity very frequently.
I respect your religious views, it's not up to me to comment on them. While it is true the number of irreligious people are increasing, if you can't see how obviously religious this regime is getting, i would say you are looking at the wrong facts. Consider that our last and the most interesting coup attempt, where people went on "democracy watches", which in the end turned out to be in sake of counting invalid votes without signets legit, and how people were commenting "we protected our religion that night" is an obvious sign how a good majority of the population is just religiously being taken advantage of for the justification of a shit ton of corruption and treason.
Uuuuuuuih who’s gonna tell him ? By 2023 at best the Turkish lira will be worth less and 0
