When you overbake cookies just keep them in a container with a few pieces of bread and they become perfectly soft. Works every time!
Lol if I over bake cookies I break them up into smaller pieces and pour almond milk over it in a bowl like it’s a cookie cereal

I would definitely blend those cookies and make fine cookie crumbles or like a cookie powder. Top your oatmeal or desserts or oh oh oh as a cookie base mixed with almond butter for freezer bars with that sweet cashew cream you make. Yum!

Vega is one of the worst proteins! There’s been major investigation for containing toxic heavy metals like mercury and lead, I would look for healthier organic alternatives ❤️
Protein powder is awful. If you're not a bodybuilder or an elite athlete you should be eating FOOD.
@@Sherlock245 Most have a lot of additional chemicals that is not good, you may consider using more nusts/seeds in your smoothie and that would be more natural protein boost :)
@@Sherlock245 Yup that's right, chemicals are all around that is why we should make decisions on how we can reduce and I am thinking protein powder would be one that we don't need since there are nuts and seeds which I think are better options.
You are exactly right, and so get a good frying pan, when you can, make own healthier pizza/ice cream alternatives, when you can, take public transport when you can, choose wild caught salmon, when you can..etc.
Thank you for sharing the article. Much like you, I believe in education. Not getting all anxious and caught up. That isn't the goal. It's about knowing and choosing what you want/can compromise and what you can't/don't want to compromise. I'm just merely making a suggestion that perhaps you could use whole foods and make your smoothie STILL high in protein, at a lower cost, less processed manner. But of course, you do you :)

@@ayasinx8797 Hey, not sure if you've heard about sprouting your nuts and seeds. I'm the same, too much makes me feel indigested, but sprouting them helps me a lot :)
I've looked into protein powders before and I know there are a few good brands with clean ingredients out there, at the top of my head: ancient nutrition, orgain and garden of life, if you wish to check out :)

My favorite food is banana ice cream 🍌 I’m blending 1 frozen banana with 1,5 tea spoon of cacao powder, some almond butter and almond milk. When it is creamy, I add about 10 frozen cherries and quickly blend again🍒 ( everything from Trader Joe’s). On top of the ice cream I usually add half of a peach, 2 tablespoons of Trader Joe's Simply Almonds, Cashews & Cranberries Trek Mix. and coconut flakes. OMG 🤤 👌 I could eat only this for the rest of my life! I have it every morning for breakfast ❤️

Since you postet the video about the pepperminttea-drinn i startet right the day afterwards to drink about 0.5-1l Pepperminttea per day. And omg my skin got so much better!!! I had acne for several years and literally no skincare helped me (and yes i visited a lot of doctors) over the time it got better and now i‘m still struggeling withe some breakouts during the month but drinkin peppermintter for only ~15 days helped me to reduce the ‚redness‘ of the pimples!!! thank you so much!
Maybe you could use the cookies more as a biscotti? Dipping it in tea/coffee could would soften them.

A trick I've learned with baking over cooked cookies, put a piece of bread in a bag/container along with the cookies and they become soft.

Whenever I accidentally over cook a batch of cookies I put a slice of bread in the container my cookies are in and it softens them right up.

I also got some Vega powder in vanilla and tried a version of your smoothie(I didn’t have the hemp hearts😔) and it was seriously good!!! Cheers to good health!!! I am currently 27 days in without any sugar and it's really helping with my acne, and new breakouts. 33 more days to go, for a total of 60 days without sugar.
I just did 40 days without sugar and it almost completely cleared up my acne! Then I had a weekend full of sugar and broke out like crazy so I'm back to being sugar free and I love it 😍 stick with it cause it's totally worth it
By "without any sugar" do you mean also no fruits or a limited amount of fruits?
@@hex.goddess Normally it means no sugar in any form. So not from fruits and dairy, coconut sugar and maple syrup should also be avoided. I used to eat bananas, when I stopped eating them my skins condition got so much better.

Do you usually just share your meals with your kiddos? I'm gonna give it a go with my son to get him eating better with me since at times he can be rather picky. How much of a must is your blender would you say? I'm Definetly investing in one cuz I adore all your smoothies ❤ thank you!
Next time the cookies are hard put half of an apple in the bag with them, they will soften. In Croatia we have traditional honey cookies that we make for Christmas, and at first when they are baked they are very hard so they get put in a bag or container with half of an apple to soften. Try it! I promise it will work!
Favorite food... umm... maybe the Beyond Burger made at a local restaurant - dressed with smoked tempeh, dairy-free cheese, lettuce/onion/tomato/pickles. Or maybe homemade vegan pizza my husband makes! Or pasta with homemade sauce made by me, or chickpeas tossed and baked in olive oil, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and salt. Roasted broccoli? I'm a foodie!

Try putting fresh garlic with the oil before adding the vegatables. Way better than just garlic powder

Loved your video Sarah 😊 If you’re still experiencing acne around your mouth, take a look at tcm facial mapping. It has been so helpful for my skin to understand what’s going on on the inside of my body. Around your lower lip connects with your kidneys and reproductive organs. When they’re stressed, they can lead to breakouts! For me personally, I had to balance the amount of water I drank (I was drinking too much I think) and prioritize enough sleep and mental downtime. Anywho, so enjoy your videos!

My mother in law showed me a hack to fix hard cookies. Put them into an airtight container with a slice of bread and leave them overnight. The moisture transfers from the bread into the cookies and makes them softer. Worked great for my rock hard GF gingerbread cookies. I didn’t keep my cookies in the fridge though.

Hi! I am dairy free and I still break out but recently my mom found an article on pantothenic acid Which is B-5 vitamin. I tried it and it INSTANTLY cleared up my acne like crazy. You take 1-4 with every meal depending on how bad your break out is. I've struggled with acne for over 5 years and this is what seriously cleared my skin up for good. I've never felt more confident in my skin! You can pick it up at a whole foods and the kind I got is vegan and non GMO. Hopefully that helps! I know you didn't ask but I am someone that understands the problems of being VERY acne prone!

Pizza is my favorite food! But, I just don't eat it very often anymore with lifestyle changes. I try to eat a lot more clean and plant based now, less dairy and meats when possible. But, it'll always be my love language 😂

Breakfast: toasted rye bread, cream cheese, homemade strawberry jam (my version of the Romeo/Juliet combo)
Lunch: Mixed salad topped with chopped tomato, chopped avocado, mixed nuts, raisins and homemade salad dressing, followed by a full-fat yogurt and some fruit
Dinner: Thai coconut curry (just veggie or chicken) served with rice
Dessert: Vegan chocolate balls
(avocado, coco powder, sugar or sweetener, rolled in coconut shavings and praline)

I read through these comments and many people are like me and want to see what the kids eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks. I know you don't show them being fed and I do know you feed them, I would like to know what.
Just wondering Sarah...as a someone who promotes sustainable living how do you justify vitamins pills, probiotics, hemp and chia seeds, spirulina, protein powder, and the like? Are they all locally sourced?
You can promote sustainable living without living in a cave and eating dirt. 🤷♀️ ANY change is a change in the right direction. I'm nowhere near as sustainable, natural, and ethical as she is but I still encourage others to do what they can. Why get down on someone just because they're not perfect?

I see you do a lot of your own baking but I loveeeeee Soozie Doozies cookies. They Gluten Free, non GMO, and plant based. My husband even liked them. And they come pre rounded to pop on the oven so I can only make a couple at a a time if I choose
