He was always a no-bullshit kinda guy, never backed down from any question and always told it how it was. Its just so haunting and sad he predicts his demise. And i do believe its very possible for someone to know when theyre living on borrowed time. He'll always be cherished and missed! 💚
"Now I really know I'm going to die very soon. The sooner the better." ..... "I used to be an Atheist but now I go to church every day, please God don't kill me" and he passed 3 years later. Just the weight of those statements that were only seconds apart from each other... Man that just really sucks. He sounds so level headed, thoughtful, and clear in this interview compared to others. Really heartbreaking to lose such an important person in history before they needed to go. RIP Pete.
Still, I can't help but find it weak. I love Peter and he could probably not make this incredible music that I love without his sensitive side but still. Face death like the man I know you are without relying on fairy tale stories about "heaven".
One of the amazing things about this great band, was that no one out there sounded like them. Truly a unique sound. Then and now. Sad that Pete is not here anymore.
My son wouldn’t tell me he died as I just lost my fiancé at 22 weeks pregnant, was put on bed rest and he was afraid the stress would be too much. Loved seeing them In concert ❤
Thankyou for posting this great interview. Peter spoke with such candour which made this very enjoyable to watch. He is a big miss to all his family as well as his fans. R.I.P. Peter 💚💚💚🖤💚💚💚
His influences and styles of music he was into is very similar to mine as well. When you’re a musician it’s hard not to have a huge variety of music that appeals to you. Anything I hear that catches my attention I have to own.
I got into them I think in 93, and of course it was Bloody kisses, later on I got all the other tapes yep tapes origin and Slow deep and hard. I loved the heavy stuff back then they did. But October Rust was an absolute masterpiece. I saw them on that tour, and still have my ticket. It’s faded but still readable.
But the devil doesn't want her... Your god is dead , your saviour hates you... Mankind is not kind and is filth ... Cry to your perversion of another culture... Love is a lie and we all fell for it....
I had the opportunity to meet Type O Negative and Otto's Daughter after the show at the Marquee Theater in Tempe AZ in 2007. and it was great. It wasn't fans meeting the band, but more like a bunch of people hanging out after the show to talk about music. For me, I pitched the idea to Peter that the band do a gothic 'Christmas' album similar to what they did with the song 'Red Water', and I had a conversation with Johnny Kelly regarding drums and drum kits, of which I misinterpreted what I was hearing, and when I saw/talked to the band during another show, pissed Johnny off at me. My fault. Still, to have that experience in meeting two great bands, I will cherish forever.
They always hated putting a label on their music. Josh would call them "Gothadellic." Lol. I'm so lucky to have seen them three times back in the day. RIP Green Man.
Petrus haunts me every day and when I channel him asking why he visits - he says it’s my Polish culture and language skills, my fragile heart, my great sense of humor, cuddling with my five cats, living in the woods, running a forested mountainous nonprofit nature preserve, and being a professor and writer … he just watches over me and all that
He uses the word naissance what an intelligent man. Peter would’ve hated the world we live in now and would be an absolute leftist in the best sense. A Peter podcast would be amazing. RIP green man. You were so thoughtful and intelligent and respectful and so talented thank you for your contributions
He said he leans right... if you heard his other comments on Immigration you might have an idea just how wrong you are. Todays leftist woke clown world would have him labelled 'far-right' in a heartbeat.
Damn me too👍 I seen them live several times in Corpus Christi tx even met the whole band pics and everything. Man I miss this group RIP Peter Steele I miss you man😢
It's anxiety and depression I get like this because I'm autistic and I have alot in common with Pete ... I guess I'll see you soon big guy coz I don't know how long I can hold on...
@@YUHAS001 Well, I'd have guessed he didn't go because most men won't go to a doctor or hospital until it's too late to do anything about whatever's ailing them (I just lost a man last year the same way)
He had a congenital heart condition, so the fact that he did all the drugs he did, and lived through both those things as long as he did was very generous of God to do for us. ❤
His whit and humour was so fkn sharp, I hope he's at peace now

Pete's t shirt perfectly matches the chair he's in 😂
He only had 3 years left to live. He does not seem well. Love him so much, great interview.
He became clean in the last year and was in good health.

My name is also Jackie (Jacquie, spelled differently) and hearing Pete say my name kind of made my day a little bit. I miss that man so much 😓💚
We all do, and what makes even sadder is the fact that they were getting ready to go back to the studio, and record a new album😢.
Of course Peter likes Cocteau Twins.

He was amazing on stage, his voice was wonderful.
