I think Pete’s getting tired of her total lack of self awareness having known the guy from old school touring alongside Us; Nuclear Assault; Voi Vod and Kreator back in his days with Carnivore’s 2nd proper album release in 1987 Retaliation. As much as he wants to bang her he’s also did not suffer fools like her and all those who’ve seen him in PlayGorl magazine after his overnight success with Type O. He had always been trying to crack us up 😂and usually succeeded in his doing so, but when he’s telling her about nuclear energy being so much safer than the alternative she’s not interested in his knowledge which ran so deeply inside every one of his lyrical witticisms; but she couldn’t care less about her future self apparently; as he quickly starts talking about taking a crap 💩 as the guy’s obsessed with feces ffsakes! We’d kept in touch whilst doing a cross country tour for our own Destined For Failure Lp( which was on a huge label for some stupid reason instead of being on any stronger independent!), but Type O’ Bloody Kisses was an absolute masterpiece of his own creation and I congratulated him for it; he had not yet been able to appreciate himself enough and know he’d had self worth before he was clean and sober. We were plastered throughout a few dozen magazines with bands We had no business being associated with like everyone from Aerosmith to ZZ Top. He told Me to watch my ass with this filthy industry as he’d been finding out himself just what sort of piranhas he’d had to deal with on a regular basis and how he wished us luck; but sadly it wasn’t gonna last well past our own money being spent while broke and stuffing Slim Jims up my sleeves just to stave off our hunger pangs! We had a great rapport for one another and he never let any amount of their success go to his head whatsoever insofar still keeping his job at “ his office in Brooklyn” as he had always referred to his work in NYC sanitation department. I think that says it all right there kids, but his comedy was a defense mechanism for people who wanted to truly be his friend; however unless you came in a package or bottle chances were slim and none. Pete warned us of all that woke cancel culture bullshit 35 years ahead of its schedule and soon to be forgotten once the president comes into power again and yeah, if he were alive today he’d move out of the city and commute back and forth to his job! He was a very intelligent man who would’ve never allowed this country to go this far and he was constantly aggravated with ignorance, folks who would not let him speak out against the state of affairs in 1987, so whad’dya believe he’d think of what the future would hold? For those of you still following my ramblings I love ya’ll and I am only here on a whim seeing this posting from yesterday and after I listened to the interviews I am trying to say what Pete was like and how he thought. Nobody else just allowed him to be honest and took his comedy routine as literal as he came across once he started talking onstage and off which in retrospect is a goddamned shame; cuz he was just starting to accept that he was an alcoholic and addict until he relapsed and died. Rest In Peace my friend & brother in arms. You are sorely needed in this absolute shit show of a new world come the next year + would’ve been grateful for missing the last 9! Believe Me or not, but when We’d all been drinking together at a bar in’93 I told Pete that he ought to put his old band back in line and play that entire album, cuz it was brutally punishing combining the attitude of Black Flag with the heaviness of Sabbath and his not giving a flying fuck about everything from Angry Neurotic Catholics to Sex& Violence and down the road he did the bastard! lol: Unfortunately they were only playing his own part of town- that’ll be Brooklyn, New York and just a few clubs.
