    The answer is always in the innate responder... E.g salt your food to what "tastes" the best for yourself. Drink water when you are thirsty. Eat when you feel hungry and don't stop eating until you feel satisfied and completely satiated. Choose cuts that also smell and taste best to you and cook meat to your preferred texture (rare, medium or well done). All these innate receptors are your instinctive balancing tools when on a carnivore diet. Be patient. People have spent decades of eating the wrong diet, it takes time for adaptation and healing to occur... Trust your body.

    Sometimes I think that the reason we can’t pin down any solid truths or facts is because there are none, we are just in a bad dream. Think about any solid truth that you know for sure and then re-examine it in 10 yrs and see if it’s still true. It likely won’t be. There is no material reality so ofc you can’t find an optimal diet.

    I don't know other than you make it hard, I eat meat and eggs. If I am hungry or feel some lack of anything I eat more, either meat or eggs? Whichever I feel like as I reckon if I feel like it my body needs it? Sometimes I feel like a lean piece of meat or a fatty piece, sometimes I jut don't feel hungry then I don't eat. I either cycle 60-90min or run and do some weight training, alternating days. Monday I my only rest day which I normally fast because if I don't train I don't feel hungry???? I never feel like I need to add fat, I eat the product as it naturally is and probably get better balance that way?

    The eye twitching is mg do not take added calcium.

    So I've been experimenting with being zero carb during the day (one meal of beef and/or chicken only, about 50/50 P/F ratio) and then doing a moderate amount of vegetable carbs and small portions of protein/fat at night. It (so far) seems to be a pretty darn good compromise to get those minerals in without supplementing. Haven't had keto cramps AT ALL doing this, when BEFORE going straight keto messes me up with night cramps within just a couple of days (and they are HORRIBLE).

    Total carnivore is kind of a fad! I’m 90% carnivore the non carnivore part is a shake I make with various ingredients like an avocado, I eat 1 avocado almost every day, and some days I add a half of a whole lemon, seeds and all and all my other ingredients to my shake including a tea spoon of real salt and a scoop of whey protein and one scoop of sun warrior veg protein. Some times I use one or the other or both. And I get all I need mainly from my shake then all I eat other than that is grass fed beef and lamb and I also eat sardines and salmon and salmon roe and everyday I eat a lot of fermented things, keferkault coconut keffer and real fermented sauerkraut and some good kimchee, Whole Foods has an awsome fermented section. Then I also eat cheeses from goat and sheep I also put this cheese in my meatballs and I have healed absolutely every problem I had including my skin issues which I think were worse than yours! You don’t have to be 100%!carnivore to reap the results!

    I'd like to share my thoughts with you in case it helps because after 2 years this is my conclusion
    -Keto/carnivore are incredibly healing interventions BUT for reasons unrelated to ketosis imo. It's the lack of fiber and sugars feeding pathogenic bacteria. Ray peat talks about endotoxin a lot in this context. Almost no oxalate, phytic acid, plant defense chemicals in general. Incredibly nutrient dense. Low pufa
    BUT
    -Ultimately ketosis long term results in very compromised sugar burning for fuel (which you explained to me once lol). My blood sugar and A1C went UP on carnivore. For optimal hormonal health, we need carbohydrates at some point. Gluconeogenesis is a stressful process for the body. After a year of carnivore I joined the crowd of angry, fatigued, low T folks who had really bad sleep disturbances. My motivation and libido had vanished, which had never been an issue. What happened when the first 3 months I had felt better than my entire life?
    I believe what we're seeing is most people are getting so many benefits from carnivore that the drawbacks of ketosis aren't that big of a deal. But give it 9 months..a year.. or longer and our bodies will start lowering thyroid, lowering metabolic rate, lowering hormone production. Eating like 200g of carbs these days and just want to tell you, foods that always seemed to bother me do not anymore. Like fruit and orange juice. So if you do decide to add carbs at some point, I would not fear it and just know that it will be an uphill battle. Took me months to titrate up from 0 carb to 200. So many carnivores inevitably end up in this place, not banking on it but I'm sure you'll add some fruit or carbs eventually so I wanted to share this with you

    • @ShoeBoyReview
      @ShoeBoyReview 7 месяцев назад

      Perhaps this applies to people who have large amounts of protein in 1 or 2 meals a day? I've seen instances of people here who split their protein intake in 3-5 meals a day, and thrive in ketosis. Not sure.

    If your way of eating require to micromanage macro ratios and minerals, then you are eating the wrong food.
    I cringe when I hear carnivores talking about too much fat = diarrhea and nausea, too little fat=constipation and low energy. lol.
    I just eat twice a day, morning and afternoon, and go once or twice a day, usually 30ish minutes after eating, I don't have to push (unless I eat a lot of dairy), clean wipes most of the time.
    Also peeing at night is a clear sign of high cortisol during the day, I had it when I was eating late OMAD.
    I'm eating mostly starchy goodness (rice, wheat, buckwheat, potatoes, breads are my favorite) plus lean proteins (usually raw, smoked wild salmon, some horse bresaola (I'm from northern italy), sometimes a rare horse steak, shrimps.

    I'm on carnivore 7 months in, never had any problems and feel amazing. i don't think at all about what minerals i might be lacking i just make my food and season liberally with pink himalayan salt. Apparently that pink himalayan salt has magnesium naturally in it. I only briefly in my mind think of fat to protein ratios at each meal but it's no headache. Somewhere around a 60 : 40 ratio of fat to protein or even higher protein is working great for me. I always include eggs at meals with my meat and a lot of melted cheese to bump up the fat. You don't have to be chugging lard to get your fat there are much more pleasant options like cheese. Also plenty of calcium in cheese so why not eat that instead of calcium supplements. Eating things like homemade burger patties with fried egg ontop and melted cheese ontop of that, or big omelette with melted cheese and pieces of meat in the middle. I always have cheese and eggs at every meal as those foods contain a plethora of micronutrients - the very ones you seek. I also make homemade kefir (the super probiotic similar to yoghurt) which also has a ton of micronutrients, vitamins and is good for the gut.
    So for me, i have had a very successful carnivore experience with no hiccups and am happy with continuing to eat this way indefinitely.

    Ok, I just read enough comments to go insane and I'm siding with the one guy who was smart enough to bring up cortisol. I had cortisol issues on OMAD as well. And its worse if you spike it closer to bed. So what time are you eating your meal? Maybe split it into two meals or try to time it just right so you don't get a spike from eating too close, or even too far, from bedtime. Or just take a pituitary glandular an hour or two before bed because that's easier (ADH).

    Hey VP! Because of the headspace I was in I had a thought while watching your video this morning. We are on the same page with a lot of stuff, I can tell by your references to lots of esoteric things that normies won't get. I say this so you know where I am coming from here. As far as the balance of different chemicals in your body... Have you ever entertained the idea of the "law of attraction" but for your body. Say you have a picture in your mind, a very ingrained hard to change picture of who you are. So because of the nature of the construct that we live in the construct is always attempting to manifest that picture that ultimately you control. So it occurred to me while you were talking... Suppose the construct is trying to build according to your plan, but you are feeding it all these strange supplements. I mean, who would know really what best to give it. Unless you really develop a sound dialog within yourself to know what the construct needs to complete your picture. And even then, the most important thing would be to control that picture of who you are. Not who you wish to be. The construct needs belief and faith. So you have to be that in your picture before it can develop. By feeding it these things you might be fighting against what ever process it is attempting. So that is the main thought. It seemed like an "AH HA!" moment to me. I love you work. Take care.

    • @micranes673
      @micranes673 7 месяцев назад +1

      Also, I forgot to add this. Because people have different things they are attempting to manifest this may be the reason that some things work for some people and not for others. They are all painting different pictures.

    Eye twitching on carnavor or keto its definitely electrolyte imbalances ca+ or magnesium. No carbs could be devastating as protein spikes insulin and glucose can dropped. Plus carbs is needed eventually. Unless prefectly balance and healthy. A lot of fat could make insulin resistant. And so on.... without carbs body can dump electrolyte even if they are diet. Not every one have the same effect. It is individual plus if something is working today it doesn't mean it will work tomorrow as creating different imbalance. For sure good protein is needed. Make sure stomach acid is working. And get some vitamin b in activate form as possible. Don't forget about b5 and other what is low in meat or required got protein utilizing especially lowering homocysteine and more. I ve been tried all different diets and combinations. Eventually non of them work and all the time Have to learn what body is required today it's really tricky but doable. So many things is connected ... good luck with your journey

    Reason #1: Their name is Kasey
    Reason #2: They believe in mucoid plaque
    Reason #3: They focus too much on the most miniscule elements of the diet instead of just eating a variety of animal products.

    Depends what form your electrolytes come in. If it just ground up mineral rocks, you're not gonna absorbe any of it.
    You can either take ionic minerals which are readily absorbable or the minerals in some other complex like magnesium glycinate for example, so it's bound to someone. But pure elemental magnesium or elemental anything is not gonna get absorbed.
    Just to test, try some San Pellegrino which is high in minerals and they're ionic. Or buy ionic minerals which are suspended in a water solution if you want something more potent.

    I don’t know. Why not just keep taking your vitamins? Well what about a little bit of zero carb keto bread ( the kind without almond flour but with bamboo flour ), for some fiber when starting out? That is, if you have no ailments like gut issues or inflammation and you start out that way and then stop using the keto bread and see how the pipes work then.

    Sounds like you overthink things. Random symptoms can turn on and off, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. If you keep making changes everytime you notice some little thing, its gonna be an endless guessing game.

    Look up "10 supplements that cancel each other out" One meal a day, so supplement zinc in the morning, and magnesium, D, and iodine at night an hour after you eat

    Electrolyte powders make things way worse, don’t wait till the point of heart palpitations. Start eating a banana a day for potassium and magnesium and salt your meat to taste.

    Don’t tinker with your stomach pH. Avoid sodium/potassium bicarbonates for long term supplementation. Your body needs chloride so sodium and potassium chloride make sense to supplement with. Nusalt is KCL in the salt isle.

    For me 1g of protein to 1g of fat works best. To get enough calories and not be constipated. Too much fat and i get constipated.
