Keeping a roll of heavy duty shrink wrap in your kit will help as well. Thank you mike for keeping tim in your rolledex, good people deserve great oppertunities!!
I am a former driver and 62 yo , I learned many years ago by an old driver about 70 yo back in the 80's not to use oil on my tandems that was asking for future issues . The old timer told me get a dish soap bottle with half water and use that . I thought he was nutty being a young driver but later tried and he was right . I remember him saying something at the time I thought was bat shit crazy . Rust welds is when your tandems get wet from road spray and that rusty powder would form between the tandem frame and the slider . Oil swelled it up and locking it in place Like old grease will do . The thing he said was soap and water works by the soap would make the water "Lite" meaning it 's water particles were broken up and made it smaller where it will go in between the frame and tandem and allow it to move . That rust powder would become slick with that soap and water . Continued oils only makes it worse like dried up tar like grease and you know how hard that is for just move easy .
We move them all the time on our Lowboys. They ride perfectly setting on the Outriggers. They ain’t heavy at all. You should also use oak Pine will split. But Why isn’t that young man in school ??
If you are going to get into hauling helicopters get a lower trailer so you don't have to worry about rotor/tail height and invest in two blade boxes to carry the blades properly. And invest in window covers proper ones to cover those expensive windows don't cover them with anything but the proper covers as anything else can flap in the wind and ruin the windshield. There is nothing too moving them if you have the right gear I have moved them for years for local helicopter company.
Love your channel and your relationship with your som. Until the end of today's video, I didn't realize that we share a passion, Drag Racing!😊 Would love to see more on this awesome sport on your channel. I've been racing since 1983.😊
When the load on the trailer is more aerodynamic that the rig hauling it!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Beeteedubs, Auto-gyros are FAR more difficult to learn how to fly, so you might wanna set up a simulator at home and get a feel for it there.
Tim safe trip you and your shadow Bevan loves the new shop not sitting on stones and out of the weather Your shadow has grown a lot in the last year in confidence and business wise keep it going Brax Cheers 🥂 from Down Under
18:24 you get all the way in and they say '''' why you come in the back door??? the BIG GATE is right on the other side right off the INTERSTATE OVER THERE!~!!'''' they point to the other side of the runway... and there is the 4 lane wide gate with all the room for all the planes with wings on to come rollin in... not that they would but ... lol
Tim love your attitude and attention to detail. I have 25 years of driving. And would love to come drive for you. Just cant do cattle. Lol. And that 389 is sick!!
It's always interesting to see the channels I follow coming together. Especially when I came across them all separately. You, rebuild rescue, Cleetus, Mike Patey. Now, if Diesel Dave didn't already have his own trucks... but he has helicopters too, so I am sure you'll end up working with him eventually.
I love how Braxton is thinking of the worst and you look like you're about to have a stroke just thinking about not thinking about what could go wrong with basically a two story house on your trailer.
Tim, you are doing real good in the trucking business, keep it up. Hopefully the trucking industry can hold on to what this country is doing to us. I saw one air trucks a week and a 1/2 ago. And talked to the driver who's really cool to talk to polite guy, keep up the good work.
Tim I'm surprised ya didn't make a tail support there's alot of flex their ta have no support from the fabulous roads. It's definitely a nice looking load. Stay Safe🤙🇺🇸
He didn't realize he was getting the best of the best truck driver, timber cutter, helicopter specialist money means nothing to FTim, he will haul it for free just for a cool video..the reason not everyone hauls these isn't they're scared, it's insurance won't cover the damages. Tim will maybe find out...😅
Rigg up a frame work for blades ,even adjustable for length differences ,would quicken loading and unloading . Then haul any helo , always movin upwards !
I had a feeling that helicopter was going to Cleetus or Dave Sparks. I had forgotten that he had already hauled a load for Mike Patey. I watch Mikes videos religiously when he releases them. Still waiting on more aviation content but I know he’s trying to build his house and has some classified projects he’s working on for the military so I’m sure it will be a bit before it happens. I would really only want to haul helicopters on a trailer with a rollback cover for the added protection of the expensive windshield and such.
That’s an awesome load brother. I love the videos and seeing Braxton become such a smart and capable young man. I was hoping to catch you at the show in Texas this weekend. I’m a recent right leg amputee and haven’t been able to work since June. My crappy insurance won’t help out with the prosthetic. So unfortunately I do t think I’ll be able to afford to come out there. If you have any idea of resources or contacts that could help with the leg I’d appreciate it. At the least some prayers brother. Anyway love the videos. Thanks
Hy vee makes a helicopter trailer (drops and hooks a winch with straps to heli, then pulls it on...blade boxes for sure..those was the vibe absorbers on the blade between the wood.. would not have secured them that way used the rack they where in and put foam in-between built frame then strapped ...recover helicopters for years .. keep on trucking
Tim u need to build a box for the blades put them in close it and strap it down or bolt it to the deck maybe even blade holders on the sides like dunnage racks/ tool boxes
Looks like that would have been a good job for one of the cabovers, at least to go pick up the copter since it was such a ticket route to get in/out of
If you use a ratchet strap across both skids draw the skids closer together. You will gain a few inches of space on the sides. Yes, it could raise the height. But that should not be much. And the space you gain will be worth it.
I don't know what the big deal is about hauling helicopters I used to haul 2 at a time in a dry van from Canada to agusta ga . I know they were only bell helicopters 2 fit perfect in the van one nosed in and other backed in . The blades should have been in a crate .
I would love to get some merch but unfortunately I can't right now cause I'm having to take care of my lung cancer but great job on the new shop and office
Great things happens to good people, as usual great content, now you and Brax must start improving on your video technique, and also the editing is not 100% there. Thank you for taking us along on your excursions.
You must have just edited your video Tim because I seen you hauling that a couple days ago when y'all passed me man your truck sounds good 👍 I have you on my dash cam for about 35 minutes I was traveling along side of you
Next time use a circular saw when you're notching your four by four cut a bunch of cuts and inch deep or whatever and then take your hammer and knock it out
As cool as that truck is I'm surprised you didn't use Rooster. We need more Rooster now that it's all fixed up and sounding sweet!! Sssooooo....are we gonna get some hauling footage and sounds or just loading the damn thing?! C'mon man! Tease!! Lol!!
I don't understand if that is a 53 foot trailer and your going to Florida to pick up a helicopter in the state of Florida. Your suppose to have your axles pushed together.
10:45 ''need to get one of them big chains....'' no no no no you need to get one of those 3 inch YANKUM ROPES!!!! :) HEHEHEHE :) well yea and a big chain too just to have it around cuz like big trucks needin big chains... lol
Hmm that is not a Bell 105. That is a MBB BO 105. There is not a production Bell 105. That one is a 105CBS ( I think a 4). Need the 105LS with the bigger engines. They are a fully aerobatic helicopter ( just not certified in the US)
That thing is so light, it probably pulled like it wasn't even there; just like a boat!
I think I'd cover that glass on the front of that thing.
Keeping a roll of heavy duty shrink wrap in your kit will help as well. Thank you mike for keeping tim in your rolledex, good people deserve great oppertunities!!

That windshield needs protection as well. Bubble wrap or something thick and soft that will NOT SCRATCH the windshields'. Awesome job Tim.
@@jamiegore4192 The 6K was for the 2 small windshields (each). The main windshield would probably be 20 -30K.
Then the "protection" rubs the windshield from the wind. Thus destroying them.
I stop by uhaul get some them blankets taped around them
We move them all the time on our Lowboys. They ride perfectly setting on the Outriggers. They ain’t heavy at all. You should also use oak Pine will split. But Why isn’t that young man in school ??

For real, I'd cover them!
His horse power numbers always crack me up. Well id say its 600 lol
Im just glad Braxton went with you to oversee the job !
Awesome stuff. "Fly me to the moon". Sinatra 1954

The black Pete looks amazing ❤
Bonnie with the BLACK ON BLACK looking damn good 💪🏾💯😎 Been waiting on this
Cool deal brother, you and Braxton be safe and God Bless y'all!!! That looks cool.
I think it's amazing how much a Helecopter doesn't weight when you pick one up ,
18:24 you get all the way in and they say '''' why you come in the back door??? the BIG GATE is right on the other side right off the INTERSTATE OVER THERE!~!!'''' they point to the other side of the runway... and there is the 4 lane wide gate with all the room for all the planes with wings on to come rollin in... not that they would but ... lol

Say hi to Mike for all of us, he's one awesome guy ! Safe travels!
AMEN!!!! Make it happen Tim You will succeed You have that drive in You...
Tim love your attitude and attention to detail. I have 25 years of driving. And would love to come drive for you. Just cant do cattle. Lol. And that 389 is sick!!
You know you've got good truck insurance when you're hauling a two million dollar chopper. Mike is an amazing aviation pilot
Just think how much a load like that pays per mile plus the check you get for it at the end after you've spent two days puckering your butt up..
Kto nie ryzykuje szampana nie pije
Trouble is Tim didn't tell him I only have general freight insurance which this won't be covered in a wreck.,
That helicopter is only worth between $350,000 - $500,000
@@ChrisHarding-lk3jj Used. New, Two Million plus.
Just a little to much Drama for me, there are lots of 2 million dollar loads out there!
B-Roll at its best
Good vid! Loved the ty-down on the hello!
Give it some more time & you might be passing that very same Elvis Jet on the interstate soon! 🤣🤣🤣
(Or the other way around...)
Great job Tim it took a lot of work to do that job right but you guys got it done

He has worked with them before at least once.
He has hauled for the diesel brothers
He has had multiple auction purchases for Heavy D
We all know rooster is king but the little ole black Pete is a whole nother animal, bad ass ride ,no jabs my cat fans! 💯
Thats some job trying to get it dead on the trailer....It will be safe on its journey with you...Stay safe you all

COOL HAUL. DONT YOU WISH IT WAS YOURS. I DO. I want the Austin. Pretty please
Congratulations, moving up in the business. Glad to say that I saw one of your trucks in Arkansas. Mighty fine rigs
Nice load there Tim and Brax. Yall got this. The 389 looks so good and even better with a helicopter on the wagon. yall take it easy out there.

Hello fellas safe trip❤
We had a trailer do this. We used a for lift. Put the tires in middle of the forks and lifted up

Probably should have been tarps secured around it. Keep rock chips and less air flow around the aircraft. Just a suggestion.
Air bus has an aluminum box you could put 6 blades in.
Should have built a crate for the blades
