I have ever made it this way, I normally burn the curry powder in the oil, but I will definitely try this way . I love how your recipe came out. Thanks for shearing. Looks delicious.
Curry paste is the way to do it! Just how my mama taught me. My mother is Guyanese, father is Jamaican. My Jamaican family don’t make curry paste but I can’t promise you, the paste really makes a difference!!
Thank you for this, from a new subscriber! I found yours and your mums roti recipe and made it today with curried lamb, it’s delicious. I will try this next, what is your recommendation for approximate cooking time without a pressure cooker?
I cook it exactly this way but my hubby loves potatoes so yeah I have to add it lol also I put a few all spice balls and a small cinnamon stick in as well . Looks delicious keep up the excellent cooking 😘😘😘🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤
Ms. Jehan, I just thought about the fact that not everyone knows what it means to wash meat. For us Caribbeans, we likely grew up watching our parents and grandparents doing it so we know. But perhaps this could be a new video tutorial you could post. I have a feeling you would open many eyes! Also, have you considered doing a specific line of tutorials specific to pressure cooking? I also think something like that would be helpful, especially for those of us on time crunches and love our instant pots/pressure cookers. One love!

You're welcome and thanks for watching! I can't give you an exact time, it just needs to be tender and not chewy.
I usually just add the curry powder to the meat but I'll have to give this method a try.
Nice!
What brand curry and masala did you use?

Beautifully done, next time add a few cloves and a piece of cinnamon stick, brings out the flavour nicely
