    Cleanse hair with lukewarm water, Use a satin or silk scarf while sleeping, Rinse hair with diluted apple cider vinegar for shine, Use liitlextraa cooconion hair oil shampoo. This helped for my sister, and she reduced her hair fall with these steps.

      This cocoonion hair oil by liitllextra is extremely intelligently made. Its ingredients in the oil are very effective in hair fall control. I have never come across such an amazing oil in my life. My hair have turned so soft and new growth are starting to appear. This oil does not remain in hair after a wash.

    This is a good example of how we tell our stylists what we want and why and then they just do whatever they want anyway. I love my hairstylist and even when I don't get exactly what I want it's a really good haircut and color. I would love some words to use when talking to our stylists that will get us closer to what we want. I think sometimes we just don't know how to explain in the proper hair talk that they understand.

      Amen! I have even brought photos and still don’t even get remotely close to what I am asking for. It’s to the point where I don’t want to even pay them they didn’t provide the service that I asked for

    • @tommie827
      @tommie827 2 года назад +2

      @@dcwatashi it's really important to choose a photograph that has the same or very similar texture, thickness (type) hair you have. So many people have brought pictures to me that don't and there is no way the same cut will look like the picture on their hair. Also, one must consider how much product the hair model is using to achieve said style and how much work went in to achieving it. There are many factors why your stylist may not give you what you ask for. I had many clients who told me they sat outside the salon and would ask people coming out who did their hair. Find a stylist, give them time to learn your hair and the two of you will find what you like, that works with your hair. Don't give up and good luck!

    • @tommie827
      @tommie827 2 года назад +1

      Yes, words are important too! Same words mean different things to people. I would often get, I want 2 layers. I would explain layering, then ask what was meant by 2 layers. A lot of consultation went on before I would cut their hair because I didn't know what 2 layers meant to them. I always say, it takes us both to get a good hair cut.

    • @dcwatashi
      @dcwatashi 2 года назад +1

      @@tommie827 yes I totally understand what you were talking about regarding texture. I still might stop by and visit her so she can see my hair and the picture
      So I did send her the picture and she said she would have no problem doing that particular cut in regards to her skill set.
      She has a real funky hairstyle herself so even though I know she didn’t do it just the fact that she’s open to non-traditional hairstyles is what I’m looking for keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻

    • @dcwatashi
      @dcwatashi 2 года назад +1

      @@tommie827 well sadly customer service is going down the toilet these days and we will see just how long she takes to talk to me.
      That one particular photograph I showed the stylus years ago it definitely could’ve been achieved because a couple years later I got a very similar haircut so I could see that my hair was able to get that type of cut but again they are embarrassed to say that they can’t do it and I don’t really think I should pay for a service that I didn’t get
      Can’t remember what my other comment said but the last haircut I received I specifically said I did not want my hair laying flat against my head and sure enough that’s what I got. And it was too short so even if I used product to bring it off of my head and give some volume it’s still pissed me off that he wasn’t even listening
      I could tell that his energy wasn’t good

    I tried going gray about 4 years ago (I'm 66 now) and caught sight of an "old lady with my jacket" in a department store - it was a mirror!! I went home and coloured my hair! 🤣 Currently I'm 'strawberry blonde' (90% gray - level 5 brown originally) and love it. Please do a "How to Use Toners" video. I started letting my gray grow in in my late 20s (yep, it began early for me) until overhearing my dad commented on how he can’t tell how old women are when they color their hair. Immediately gave that up and never looked back! More power to the ones who can do it but it’s rare (imo) for a woman to look stunning with gray hair.

    I would love to see a video on toners, etc. I agree 100% that her color is to warm and a cooler color would look much better on her. I also believe Gina would look great going grey, but is she looking for that contrast that Nikol has? The dark underneath and more silver on top? I agree on moving the part over and it would help with lifting & volume. I love the smile in the pictures and confidence Gina shows, but when she mentioned makeup and changing it because of going grey (which I have been doing for the last 2 years) changing up her eyeliner and taking those tips from Nikol may also help how she feels about the grey. Gina is a beautiful lady and I am sure she will get to where she wants with her hair taking your tips Justin! This is all my opinion and going grey can be hard because it is not an overnight transition. It takes time.

      I totally hear you there! I found that unfortunately many hair schools don’t focus on cutting techniques as much as being able to pass the state licensing requirements, which is more about sanitation processes. There are a ton of fantastic stylists out there that understand layering exceptionally well, but they do need to be found as it’s not inherently the norm.

I worked in salons and spas for more than 20 years and I believe when we train for, possess and excel in certain skills like what you mentioned, we should "talk them up" in our advertising, coupons, shop newsletters, etc....salons are intimidating to many women and clients are not likely to "interview" operators in front of other operators, looking for specific talents. Especially newbies to the business...they need to understand that they have to work at developing the clientele that they deserve, it isn't easy but it IS very rewarding. Love ur posts

    I think the key is to look OUR best... We admire influencers and celebrities who are highly styled and choose their very best photos. We seek an impossible standard... I think that's why we love Justin's videos. They provide helpful hints for every day women. For me, Gina looks dramatically better with the part moved to the side with the resulting lift and brown hair. There's always time to go gray, but in Gina's case, it's a slam dunk to keep her hair brown. She looks so much younger to me, so I'm on Team Dionna (once again. )WARNING: This is an opinion from a 66-year old with restored red hair! I'm currently in my 2nd year transitioning to gray. I follow tons of other ladies on IG and they are always talking about changing clothing and makeup. The tricky part is during all the years you have roots. Roots just don't look great in general. I think it's rare that natural gray washes someone out, but with the wrong makeup and clothing colors, it may not work cohesively. I totally agree with you. I am biased, but agree that she should embrace her natural color!
    I think Nikol Johnson is gorgeous, but I also think her hair style is very obsolete! 😬 It works great on her, but I don't think many people could pull it off and look modern.
    I was initially inspired by Sarah Harris from British Vogue and Annika Von Holdt to go gray!

She dyes gher hair blonde and blonde highlights and parts in the middle, wearing her hair straight down. Never changes. In her own words she wants to be eighteen again. Justin, this was fun. Dionna (Diona?) is hysterical. She seems like a barrel of fun! I love when she is in your videos. I follow Nikol and have to say she has a ton of hair. The volumizing techniques she teaches are helpful, but her volume is due to amazing density. Nikol has to tame that density where the rest of us have to create the illusion as you have taught us. Gray isn’t always a striking silver or white, and even changing to cool tone makeup and clothing colors, doesn’t always work well depending on skin tone. My gray is like a dirty manhole cover. 🤣 No matter what I did…my hair color was just boring. I tried to embrace that manhole shade for 5 years and finally reintroduced some color with high and low lights, keeping some of the gray. I feel better and getting compliments once again. Maybe when more of the gray takes over I will like it, or maybe i can have it processed to turn it more white but I fear that would result in a lot of damage.

    Hello. I always enjoy your videos. I am turning 61 in two months and I've colored and highlighted my hair since my early 30s because I'm very fair and was tired of hearing comments about my "pale" skin. My natural hair was always ash blonde then ash dark brown. I have blue eyes. I always thought if I ever went silver that it would "age" me by washing me out. But, since I've gotten tired of chasing my silver demarcation line that began about four years ago, I've embraced letting it come out. I had silver highlights put in to help with the demarcation. I love it and instead of "washing out into invisibility" it has made my blue eyes just pop! I'm not afraid of showing my age, I never tried to hide silvers because of aging, it was to prevent "disappearing"! I'm very new into my journey but I've been gotten so many compliments. I even had a man at the store do a longer stare at me and very kindly commented, "Your eyes are very pretty!".
    Now I realize how unnatural a lot of women look when they have artificial color on their heads against their natural skin tone. I'm not saying every woman but some are gripping the dye as if it's what's keeping them "young" and it really isn't. I'm not judging anyone for wanting to keep dyeing, that is their choice, I'm just sharing my pov. It took me about a year of considering letting my hair be itself. And I'm really glad I did. I'm getting pleasantly surprised.

    Hi Justin, I love your videos. About 3 years ago, I let my hair colour grow out from very dark brown. I am now completely grey, in fact my hair is quite white. It took several years for me to adjust to seeing myself in this startling colour. I didn’t feel like it was me looking back at me from the mirror. I love my grey hair now but it took a while to adjust. The other adjustment was the change in texture that happens when your hair turns grey, it can make styling a challenge. Once again, thanks for all your advice. Dawn

    YES! YES! YES!!! Plz do a toner video! I am 53 with very long, fine and dense hair which I have been slowly leaning into more ash coloring lately to blend my gray better but it does wash me out a bit. I have considered going full-on gray but I am nervous about it! Having hair to my lower torso, I am trying to avoid as much damage as possible with color so toners may be my answer!!!!

    I decided to go grey, when make-up and haircolor got in a big contrast and my skin looked pale and ill. Off course, i had to get used to see me gray, and i changed some colors of clothing and make-up. Sometimes we think, that coloured hair makes us look younger, but sometimes it's more than obvious, that it is fake! But it is necessary to get the right haircut!!!

    I like brown, this final brown cut. I love the idea of her going grey, but I think the right cut comes first. Wear it for a while, make sure you can style it properly, and nothing about the styling takes too much effort. Once you love the style, then go grey. Whether you grow out grey slowly or color it grey with low and high lights all at once and blend in the natural grey as it appears, I think you will be more satisfied. I hope so! You will look lovely, either way, with your beautiful smile lighting your face.

    Great video! Great info. I had no idea that your makeup would have to change if you change your hair color…grey or not…no wonder when I get my hair colored and try a different color, I usually don’t like it. I loved the gray on her. When I first went gray it took several months for me to mentally adjust to the look. I would startle myself every time I passed a mirror. 😂.
    Since that time my hair texture has changed significantly and my hair has thinned. It just doesn’t want to hold a style anymore. 🤷🏼‍♀️.

    I actually liked the colour she had in the longer hairstyle, but it's hard to tell without a front shot. I think it might have been a bit red. Would love to see a full video of how not to go yellow or in my case a bit red when covering the grays. Definitely like the style you chose for her and the style you put on her from Nikol. As you mentioned, her hair is lighter, thinner and wavier than Nikols, which should give her more options of how to actually style her hair. That would also be good to see- practical looks eg pinned up in the 100° heat etc. Thanks for all your suggestions and for the beautiful scenery too!

    I think what makes Nicole look so striking with the gray hair is the contrast between the lightness of her gray hair and the darkness and boldness of her brows. I think this lady looks much more approachable with the brown hair and I think it suits her coloring better. But having said that, I think she needs to do what she wants to do. I do thank you for pointing out that the center part adds width to the sides is that is what I am trying to do as I have a tall forehead that need no additional height. I would love to see a new video with information about cutting the yellow and brass out of the hair. I use purple shampoo but would love to have some tips. This might be a long shot, but would you ever consider doing a video on which color is which? What I mean is, is ash cool or warm, where does "beige" fall in when your talking brunette (this one comes from beige being an option on eSalon in the dark brunette section when choosing a color), why does dark hair turn that weird orangey/red color after coloring sometimes? Things like that. Or a video on how to choose a hair stylist?
    I'll check the playlist and see if these already exist.
    Btw, I love the fact that Gina knows what she wants and is willing to try different things!

      Not only does Nikol's color "go" with her, the AMOUNT of hair she has is enviable! Some people may think the bob is "old" but I think the way she sweeps it in different ways is in keeping with her look...to me she has a very elegant look and her hair is an extension of that. Can't really picture her hair thickness and texture in another style except maybe very short and "edgy" ..but then that doesn't seem to fit her persona...hmmm.... I just wish I had a quarter of the thickness her hair has!

    Can you do a video on using toners? I’ve grown out my coloured blonde hair to grey! But my new hair colour s more of a platinum blonde! Really great huh! But the back of my head is silver to various shades of grey! I have very thin, fine hair that I wear as a shoulder length bob with full bangs. My hair naturally lays the best with this style. I’m athletic and need to be able to wear my hair pulled back. I do use purple shampoo and conditioner which does a great job keeping the yellow in check ( paraben , sulphate free). I like that my hair feels really healthy without colouring! I cut and colour my own hair for many years (I’m 71 yo but look much younger) as I couldn’t get a stylist to style my hair appropriately flattering to my face shape! I always run home to wash and fix my hair!!!

    Hi Justin, so glad I found you, I love you!! Your wife is gorgeous!! This video described my hair to a tee! I call it the "Christmas tree affect" when my hair gets poofy on the bottom. I would love to see a vid on why my dark brown hair turns orange when I lighten it? I'm currently dark blonde w/blonde highlights, but the dark blonde came out dark red brown. My hair absorbs color, even tho I only put it on the roots & makes it darker. NO colorist I've ever been to seems to understand this, I'm constantly changing stylists because they make my hair too dark and too short. I try to fix it, mess it up,have to get someone else to fix it, then I don't like it, do it myself , mess it up... it's a vicious cycle. Ugh. I'm 54, you would think I would have figured this out by now. Thanks for your cool videos. 🥰

    I like both colors. I actually think she should go more blonde, then grey. Brighter grey highlights if you will. And the salt & pepper could act as low light, or add low lights in a darker grey tone for dimension. I think it would look more polished. And that would make her feel grey hair is more elevated.

    Gina could honestly and easily go either way. However, if like me, she likely does not have the same gray as Nikol. I agree that gray doesn't inherently age a woman, but it does have to be enough gray. I too was inspired by Nikol during covid, and grew out my hair almost completely gray - I got to about 2" at the ends left of color and then, nope! My gray is too evenly dispersed - too salt and peppery and it did age me. I don't have cool, thick, white streaks (like Nikol) or gray patches (like my mom, she has cool, patchy patterns of white and gray in her hair), so I went back to coloring it. Gina is very fortunate to have a lot of hair too - it looks fine, but it looks like a lot! And her skin is beautiful. Double lucky - she can pretty much do either and it will look like herself and great!
