      Trinette, an SVG file is a vector file and so whatever you create inside AD. The process remains the same, slicing it, and exporting it. Choose different export options depending your project, at least that's the way AD does it to my knowledge. 😀 👋

      Whatever you select from the Layers panel that will get exported. My personal recommendation, leave the pattern transparent so you can add it anywhere you wish. 😀 👋

      On the tutorial I exported it as a PNG, but from the export list you can choose SVG. Try that and see. Thank you! 😀 👋

    Other than eyeballing it, is there any way to get a seamless pattern?

    • @EliasSarantopoulos
      @EliasSarantopoulos  3 года назад

      I am sorry, I don't quite understand the eyeballing it, you mean using the Blend tool?

    • @goilo888
      @goilo888 3 года назад +2

      @@EliasSarantopoulos No, I mean when creating patterns you can create seamless patterns (think wallpaper) or patterns that are very obvious when placing printed sheets side by side. In your example there are "seams" at each of the four edges.

      @@goilo888 It's all about defining the are of interest. In the specific example I am using a group to crop but one can use the slice tool to define the area of interest. So depending your idea/pattern act accordingly. Hopefully I answered your question. 😀👋
