    Thank you so much for this video. The first time I tried it months ago I was new to Affinity Designer and so intimidated when I tried to make this '90s pattern I got so frustrated I stopped trying. Well, today months later I am so grateful for this video. I tried it and put the pattern design on Redbubble and I cannot wait to find more designs using your training. I was amazed that the pattern fit perfectly on everything. Usually, I have to do 9075 px x 6201 px for everything to work, but this pattern was perfect. Does it depend on what design I am making using pixels 1000 x 1000 vs. 9075 px x 6201 px?

    Hello man thanks for the good content. I have a lil question, is it better to put online T-Shirts that sell seasonally and update every time according to the time in the year tat people celebrate something specefic, or to upload design that are random but they look good?

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  2 года назад +1

      Depends.... the real answer is "design something that people want to buy".... seasonal designs work but so do evergreen stuff.... It's hard to say which really does better because it all depends on your design, keywords, topic, etc..... It's like saying what restaurant will do better a burger restaurant or an ice cream restaurant? They both could do really well.... The best ice cream restaurant could do better than the worst burger restaurant.... the kind of food or topic doesn't guarantee over all success or profit.

    Hey, Juna !
    I'm used to create my patterns in Canva... but I'll give a try to Affinity (although I think I can apply the same system)
    I have a question that is not really about creating patterns but more about using them for apparels.
    I wish to create very nice, warm, comfy hoodies (the polar type) with a pattern all over.
    And I can't seem to find a POD that offers that option. They all allow for one specific front and/or back placement... but no pattern. It's possible for a few things like legging, mini-skirts, that type of thing.
    Would you know a company that prints patterns on sweat shirts and hoodies ?
    If yes... you'll make my day !
    Thanks.

      @@DetourShirts I roamed the net to find one... and I did find one that will allow to create the sweat-shirts and hoodies... with the same or different designs on each side (front and back, right and left), each sleeve, the front pocket, the hood... everywhere there is a printable place.
      It's Printful. OK, it's not a market place but you can create for a store or for yourself. Can't say anything about the quality but some people seem very happy. Would you have an opinion about this company ?
      There is also Society6... but I haven't investigated yet (seems very American and I'm in Europe).
      And YES... it sounds so cool to have an all-over printed sweatshirt, some patterns would look gorgeous !
