I'm from Kentucky and biscuits and gravy are a breakfast staple. I think Brits would absolutely love a country style breakfast with biscuits and bacon grease gravy, eggs, and bacon.
THAT was one incredible review.. The food looked absolutely fantastic. I SO wish I could go there TODAY and try those wonderful biscuit burgers and fries! WOW!
Looks excellent and as an American who is fortunate to visit the UK I may look it up. Growing up in the Midwest we had a steakhouse chain called Bonanza and they had an item called country fried steak which was a breaded cube steak that was smothered in white country gravy. The gravy was peppery and made the dish. Biscuits and gravy is basically the same gravy but most moms would add crumbles of breakfast sausage that has a lotta sage in it. I gotta believe that restaurant offers biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
I do like the way the food looks. The crunch sounds good. The potato salad being made by the wife had to be special. As an American, I'd go try it out.
As an American from Virginia, I was intrigued when I read about this place. After my first visit a few months ago, I was blown away. This is not 'really good for England' chicken and biscuits, it just flat out the best I've ever had ANYWHERE. You didn't try my favourite, the 'Hot Take'- which is beautiful. The owners are also as lovely as can be- I'm pleased for you that you got to try it and pleased for them that you have reviewed it so positively!
It looks like this place is going with an American style country gravy which is lighter in color than brown gravy and traditionally heavy on the black pepper. Being American myself, I give them credit for their creative use of our country style biscuits and gravy.

Great place, good food.. the only issue I have, and it is a small one, is the chicken to batter ratio.. there is so much batter that you need binoculars to see the chicken. The potato salad is awesome, the cowboy burger is divine.. worth the price. Nice job Danny.
They make American bisuits tooooo big. My eyes popped out of my sockets when I saw the size of the biscuit to chicken ratio! Like, "where is the chicken"! LOL
Back in Manny Danny😊, this time the building that you ordered your food in used to be 10 Bar and my mates recording studio used to be downstairs. It brought back memories for me watching this.
I just had pimento cheese for the first time about a month ago, i’m a Yankee transplant to North Florida and have been here for about 17 years but I saw him energies and I could never just really get on board. Even the Chick-fil-A commercials couldn’t sell me😂 I was hungry grocery shopping the other day and bought a container of it and just as I had assumed it was probably not one of the better things I’ve ever put in my mouth . But I jumped on the phone with some friends in South Carolina and they said oh no, no you need to make that your own self honey! But she said for now, just put some hot sauce in there, and that definitely helped a lot because I don’t know if Carmellos is tends to be on the sweet side? But it was super sweet, like there was a bunch of sweet relish poured in there? But yeah, definitely the hot sauce but I will be making my own maybe over the holidays :)

As a southern american raised on these, I can tell you that bisk-ey looks right on point 😋 Obviously cant vouch for the flavor, but the visual qualities are all there. Brown and crusty on the outside, soft and flaky and chewy on the inside. The chipotle isnt traditional but sounds good to me.
