- Hi Friends! I am so sorry as its been over a month since my last upload! I have been working in the wings and have a new video for you!
I want to start sprucing up my bedroom. This room has constantly been a hodgepodge of left over furniture with no design and no direction. I'm going to start changing that!
Firstly, I am taking the IKEA Rast dressers and giving them a mid century modern makeover. I am IN LOVE with the results.
I found inspiration on Good Housekeeping www.goodhousek...
With my creative juices flowing I got to work! I stopped by my favorite Dixie Belle Paint supplier, Lakeland Antiques Mall antiqueslakela...
I Picked out the color Rusty Nail dixiebellepain... and mixed it with some Colonel Mustard dixiebellepain... to make the prettiest terra cotta color.
I used the finish Satin Clear Coat on the majority of the dresser. dixiebellepain...
The top of the nightstand required some Gator Hide, which is a tough as nails top coat to fend off the abuse my husband can put a piece of furniture through. (Gator Hide currently not available on their website)
This RUclips video was what taught me how to apply this topcoat: • How to Apply Dixie Bel... Thank you to Tracy's Fancy for the great information!
I chose both the legs www.amazon.com... and the drawer pulls www.amazon.com... from Amazon and I was so happy with the results!
This 15 minute video will show you step by step how to turn these plain Jane dressers into something you will love!

Have a wonderful day!!!!!
Did you drill new holes for the handles or did it fit exactly to the existing holes?
I found pulls that were spaced to the holes that were pre drilled. I found them on Amazon and I believe there is a link in the description.
Love the color, love the hair!
Thanks so much Bridget! Thanks for watching!
They turned out great! Adding the legs and the cool pulls was such a great idea.
Thank you so much!
Looks so good!
Thank you!
