Let me just say this: As someone who has barely played Ark for 2 years (Purchased on the 6th of August 2022), I LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing about the early days.. I love to rewatch super early videos of people playing ark. Sl1pg8r and Neeb's Gaming are probably my faves to watch discover the Island Map for the first time. Syntac was pretty familiar with the game by the time he started doing vids, so it's fun to watch other people have the "first time" experience with absolutely no idea what's going on. It was one of those super mysterious games with very little reliable information available about the mechanics, and some crazy balancing issues that made certain things nearly impossible. I remember when claiming a hatchling was the most frantic experience ever because the baby could starve to death in a matter of seconds, and you had to have thousands or tens of thousands of meat/berries stored up (or friends to collect food as fast as they could while you stayed to constantly refill the baby's tiny inventory). People would take hours-long shifts feeding baby rexes non-stop over multiple days with vanilla settings. Grinding out materials for a smallish base could take you days. But somehow, it was still insanely fun. Playing Ark solo at release is one of the most challenging things I've ever done in gaming, lol
I’ve made that mistake of leaving my pyromanes breeding and fell asleep for a few hrs. Let’s just say I had to delete that save as I couldn’t even load in. My guess is they produced thousands in the time I was sleeping as I had 44 females going at once with like a 5 minute breeding interval. Next time I’ll do egg layers as the collection bins hold a thousand each.
Syntac is wanting pink as Axeman loves his pink and purples. Showing off in the best way possible. Still love the name Primal Nacho gave you, it's perfect with the color combination!!! Axe would be super jealous of the color and name!!!
The fact there is no Magmasaur in that cave is very disappointing. 31:49 the Titanoboa Venom is not auto looted you have to get it out of the bag they drop.
Hearing you talk about the old school bugs instantly brought the breeding glitch to mind. I built a whole base on pillars over the water to have sunken champers so I could float rexes and gigas so they wouldnt eat as much I was salty when they fixed that lol
I'm behind on your video's, but catching up this week. There was ONE Pyromane that I saw you grab (9:17) that had a Color in Region 4 (202). What part does that color show up on with these animals? That is that only one that I saw in this video that had actually had a number in that region, all others had N/A.
Also the thing with the otter is intentional. It’s inventory is coded to act like a storage box, which is why it does not increase the spoil timer of food in its inventory
The ring around the massive has like 4 or 5 drop spawn locations. And theirs one on the island to the right of the ramp that leads to the Strong. The only way out of that cave is to fly, grapple, or insane jumps.
A little hint: You wouldn't have fly out of the cave. The charged jump of the Pyromane goes not only straight forward, it goes up as well if you point the cross up.

It would be cool if there was a feature implemented that pyromanes would be more powerful depending on the color since there are different colors of fire and some are hotter than others
Only time to prefer this over a shadowmane is when you need food and you left it all at the base. But put one of these on your shoulder for the food problem, and ride a shadowmane around.

to keep the mutated ones easier located in your inventory, maybe create a folder for the ones you want to keep :D

i think the reason why the shoulder-kitty didn't do anything is because it never collected any flames. the big one always "stole" them.

Unused regions can get colours assigned from mutations but they dont show up

the color of the fire is pretty close to what lithium makes, i personally prefer a strontium flame but the pink of lithium always looks awesome

I do like the color choices you made, but me being who I am and loving to breed I still would have kept the cyan and a couple of the other colors.
you can jump out of that cave with pyros using their flame jump. you can also negate fall damage if you you flame jump just before hitting the ground

If you fire dash at the ground just before you hit the ground with the pyromane when falling from a great height you will take no falling damage
