A Mod you'd like Syntac is Move Tool, it lets you rotate and move structures to a very fine detail plus you can scale structures to be bigger or smaller

Okay Syntac I'm gonna be real with you here, I don't know how everyone else who watches your videos feels about what I'm about to say but, I love it when you show us your building projects in ASA, I'd watch a 3 hour plus video of one of your building projects like this bridge, I know you say you regret it in the title but in my opinion in order for you to continue to build it even after you started regretting it to me means some part of you even if it's a small part really enjoys doing it because of all the different details and ways you can do the build
For anyone that agrees that they'd watch a 3 hour plus building video from Syntac on ASA vote by liking or commenting this comment to show that you wouldn't mind it
same, honestly thats what made me subscribe to Syntac cause it was the Cluster s1 where he built his first base in rag that I actually subbed to the channel. (oldest video I watched was Ultimate ark ep 1 though but I didn't subscribe or watch all his vids till cluster s1)

It's honestly the crazy building projects that have kept me interested in Ark for so long. I've never been all that driven to beat the bosses or play PVP, so it's the desire to fuel my building projects that pushes me to get better tames and explore for resources. Nothing kills a save file faster than completeing all of my building ideas for a location 😂
One of my most-played games of all time and I've never beat a single map, lmao

Wow, the bridge is gorgeous! You mentioned the stairs at the end and the central area…for the stairs, maybe a landing halfway up would help minimize the steep look: for the center part, pedestals with artifacts and special Dino’s would be really cool!! Awesome job🎉👍!!

I love how detailed and creative these builds are. I've been watching a syntac series from 3 yrs ago, and as impressive as those builds were, it just keeps getting better.
One thing with the stairs that you could do break them up with a foundation or ceilings in between and have a couple levels of stairs. Like the first bit, then flat, then the rest? Idk if that would look good, but it would help break up that slope if you don’t like it.
Under the bridge would be a great place for some track to send a train back and forth. Then that could also give the extra detail you wanted on the ends of the bridge.

For bridges over water, fence foundations with columns are a lot cheaper
I really like the Light Posts and Turbines that looks really good. The stone / Wood pattern is also really good. Did you put a structures workbench on the back of your Dinos Platform? Because if not that would be a great idea. If you can use the pickup gun you should pick up all the unnecessary foundations etc on the sea floor and on the center island just to reduce the number of structure bits in game, it will make it easier to load in. The Center building, originally i thought you were gonna make that a gate house with a huge gate in the middle or one on each end. The stairs DO look a bit steep but i would just leave it, messing with it will just frustrate you. All in all the whole thing looks great and your island base is getting wild the scope of what you are doing looks like something i would do. My last base was a massive aircraft hanger type building so large it had it's own weather system.
ASR mod has great additional building things. More roof types, glass options, different slope stairs, more sloped rails and pillars too. Great mod all around really

but its not fully compatible with the skins. yes, it hats 45° sloped beams, but those don't work with frontier skins for example.

Found out a new building fact today. Turns out you can connect vacuum compartments to pillars and it will act as a foundation. I have a bridge (in creative mode) with them near the surface, only use one or 2 pillars and it works great. Figured it out when i placed pillars so deep into the ocean they werent counting as support

Syntac could easily just go creative mode between cuts and we would be none the wiser. But he really farms all the material, spends the time crafting, and transporting everything. Props to you syntac!
Even if he did do that his builds are still impressive and even just placing the structures itself takes so much time

It’s always amazing to me too, I would always be lazy and put a base on a tree platform or ocean platform and afterwards feel like I did way too much.

This reminds me of a guy on my cluster who built a big base on Extinction. He painted the whole thing, and then had to abandon the base because loading all the custom painted structures was lagging him out. I was a bit worried when you talked about painting this bridge.
The rendering of structures is definitely improved in ASA which is great, but oh man I'd still be scared to build something of this magnitude within my main base's render distance.
Anyway, the name Bridgette comes to mind.

@Syntac download the Arkitect Structures Remastered mod and you will diagonal pillars in there also I feel better varity with the structures like the foundations you can get full or half foundations

I like the cables on top of the bridge. If you carried that over to the main base area, it would give a Jurassic park kind of theme which would be cool

No matter how much you inspire me to build, I pretty much never even come CLOSE to anything you create. I end up living in a box or a rectangle most of the time. My trick for stairs is to use half walls and ramps, Half down - one ceiling out - half down - etc. Stair/Ramp to add slope. Sadly can't get a smooth slope, but I find it better than the 45 degree stairs.

Massive line of rafts just triggered my ptsd lol. I have a member in my server that did and I dont know why but it annoyed me so much so I built a bridge across. Mine has a lot of detail to but no where close to yours. That bridge looks amazing.

This is so amazing, I can't even begin to describe the sheer amount of time and resources this took - you're a true Ark artist!
But I thought about the beginning and the end, the steep stairs, maybe you could add like an extra step in the middle? Like it goes down 2 stairs and then out maybe 3 ceilings and then down 2, and you could add like a flat area on the side columns with something cool on them? Like on big stairs to museums and such? I don't know, you see these things so much better than all of us but that's just a thought that came to me, hope it made sense 😁 Thank you for the amazing inspiration! I miss these kind of decorations with Bobs tall tales on ASE...

Great episode again Syn, I have an idea up to yourself if ya wanted to roll with it, but that underground area below the bridge could be used as maybe a mini track for sending stuff to axe and back and forth,kinda like what ye did in Scorched but on a smaller scale to send stuff to each other. Even call it the Post Bridge!!
I'm a big fan of building in Ark (despite how much of a pain in the azz Wildcard makes it.) I'm glad you're doing more building. No, we don't want to watch every second of every build but I do enjoy seeing the different and creative things people build in the game.

Nice job with the whole build. A quick feedback from structural eng, if it is possible in the game to place the cable diagonally like cable stayed bridges instead of horizontally, the bridge would look much more realistic. The current formation of the cables does not look really functional as tensile members. Great job regardless ❤
Weird I got unsubscribed somehow. Building stuff slanted and sideways doesn’t work exactly the way you line it up it’s always facing a little wonky. And you could do it but you would’ve needed to place the foundations based off the slanted part before. It’s really annoying and also if you don’t have official settings on you can’t get totally sideways. Great build tho looks nice.

Maybe for the ends, you could use ramps but start them at the top of where you have the ramps right now. The ramps would come out a bit from the end wall of the bridge and you could build maybe a smaller archway around it? It might also make the end look less weird cause I think most of the weirdness comes from everything being so flush with the wall. build looks fantastic!!!

You should install the Arkitect Structures Remastered (ASR) MOD. It’s got all you’re looking for, shallow stairways, diagonal pillars and etc. it’s pretty nice
i'd actually like to see the entire building of the bridge... gathering resources and the building... that's one of the cool things about ark... just the grinding and the building... do more live streaming i guess so you don't have to keep the files on your PC... do you live stream that much? i don't think I get notifications for that if so...
