There's always something satisfying about watching and hearing steak frying.
Handling the mashed potatoes shows Hiro's delicate touch.
I like it when a Japanese sushi chef isn’t afraid to make a non-traditional sushi roll.
Mmmmm
Ikr
I binge the hell out of these videos. I bet he’s fun as hell to drink with. If you’re ever in the New Orleans area, we’re having a drink. Or ten.
Hiro and cameraman you both are awesome keep up the good work and congrats on your success, love you guys
How amazing is that? You never cease to amaze me Chef, BRAVO...
It absolutely is, it's a 73 Trans Am with a SD455 4 speed. ; )
this dish wows me.
Haven't been here in a while, but it's sooo amazing to see that Golden RUclips play button, congratulations, love y'all's channel, and I absolutely love the dishes
I love Hiro man. I watch Hiro's videos during my off time and he always inspires me to get up and go cook rather than just buying take out for instance. Good stuff Hiro, keep it up
beef and sushi is a great combo i wish more sushi chefs would give it a shot
Interesting combinations, rice with smashed potatoes, green beans with spinach and all of these with beef steak. Hmm, nice recipe.
And that's why I subscribed to this channel. These fellows get along, and they come up with some real cool ideas... not to mention it must all be delicious... sushi evolution.
A little gravy on the side for dipping... yup!
Finer side would ask for Au Jus...
The mash potatoes -- I cannot buy premade... thats my cross line.
Totally making this!! I would have taken the torch and toasted the potatoes a bit, Added A1 drops on the side topped with a dab of horseradish....but it still looks amazing!!
That looks incredible. Such beautifully cooked ribeye, great vegetables and a fantastic mashed potato topping. The fried garlic and the dried onions adds a nice touch. Hope you and your cameraman have a good afternoon and a great week, Chef Hiro.
Wow, Chef hiro is simply world class. Enjoyed this video.
Hiro the ninja, insane no look catch on the dropped bag of spinach
Good afternoon everyone, gotta agree your camera man, be a grill man please Hiro you are awesome with steaks :D
This is therapeutic
Wow that looks incredible.
I love how I can try to make it at home too! Please do more DIY supermarket ingredients episodes!
Mmmm... just mmm... this is definitely worth trying myself! This is all standard fare for my midwestern US palate so its really just a different presentation.
I cook my steaks in cast iron so for me I would have deglazed the pan with red wine or bourbon and reduced it for a drizzle over the top. I'd also maybe broil the final rolls to brown the potatoes a bit and warm everything up since most of this food is usually eaten warm anyway. And I don't have a torch to brown stuff with haha.
Herosan, I’m going to start my sushi venture after watching YOU, the sushi that you make, I like ! ! Thank you for the inspiration 🤗
Hiro, you're simply amazing! The meals you make are fantastic!
Awesome! Felt my gut rumble.
Hell yeah. I need to drive down to Miami to check out your restaurant. My favorite channel on RUclips.
Love the roll, you should do a homemade burger roll. Also, I had the same idea with using Au jus to dip it into. I honestly don't know why you guys don't get more views, the videos are great.
Great spinich save dude!
Love steak and potatoes , looks good enough to eat .
impressed how fresh the beans are.. love summer
Good Afternoon!
Good morning Hiro and camera man lol. Wow, I want this for my birthday next month lol. Looks delicious!!
Nice creation Hiro. I'm so hungry now
Wow wow wow again !!!
Beautiful dish chef
I'm sure that tastes as great as it looks, and it probably doesn't need anything else
i cried while watching this .. so beautiful
Never knew I'd fall in love with salt and pepper grinders, yet here I am.
Why start at the center of the sushi hiro-san? The end part was mouth watering.
The steak looks great!! I'm gonna try to cook it like that.
Awesome Video, We all enjoy your instruction, I will make this same dish soon. thank you for all the great video's ~ !
I luv this😙 specially the beef👌👍💕thanks guy's for this nice video
Another comment to add for every steak lover out there take your steak out of the fridge 10 to 15 minutes before you cook it season it however you like it will cook way better however you like
Hiro's reflex on the spinach is brilliant
Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef I'm a culinary student in Turkey and I want to use knife as fast and as good as you what should I do Hiro
Master hiroyuki👊
This looks amazing Hiro! Great job.
That is my favorite way steak is cooked
Sounds unique! Of course I’m going to make this!
J H Animals are a renewable resource, and man is a carnivore: Eyes in front, predominant canine teeth, short gut. In modern slaughter houses the cattle do not suffer, but are killed instantly with a captive bolt gun, shot to the skull and brain. Please don't try to sew guilt based on lies to assuage what I perceive as misguided guilt over killing animals.
P. S. I also hunt. Wild hog, mostly, which tend to decimate crops, so in doing so I'm actually protecting your precious plants.
J H Nah. They'll get slaughtered regardless
Super Geek We're not carnivores. We're omnivores.
Jaylen *Straightoutda80s* Brown Yea lol
Jaylen *Straightoutda80s* Brown Yes. I stand corrected. My point, though, is that man has evolved to hunt and to eat animals (as well as to forage, and eat plants). Eating cattle, buffalo, pigs, poultry, deer, fish, etc. is both part of our nature, AND biologically advantageous to our nutritional requirements. Granted, modern western man may tend to excess in this area, but here I am guided by Confucius: Moderation in all things - *INCLUDING* moderation!
That looks awesome.
looks great hiro
yas
Yes please
Would be great with a little side of gravy for dipping.
Super reflexes hiro 👌😁
been around since 5k subscribers love the content
Yay!!! Love you guys!
A little green onions on top or some caramelized onions! Whoooeee.
Great lookin roll, interesting combo. Fresh mashers plz: two med potato, steamed or boiled, add warm cream, table warm euro butter, garlic cloves, green onion. Fresh Mashers so you can control the salt and seasoning:)...Hiro, have you ever added saffron to your rice, just for fun? Great post.
Love it, I'm gonna try this with some beef gravy and au ju for dipping
Love rice with mash potato.
Hiro is my Hero
The taste tests alone of as insular piece of the roll must be worth the camera mans monthly pay day alone (assuming he gets a good pay day)
Beautiful, thank you for your lessons and videos I love sushi and hope to learn this world from the basics with your help! Do you suggest what type of knives suitable for sushi could I buy from Italy? Thank you, both of you are very good and talented .I only dislike the cruel way some fishes and animals have to suffer before dying!I wish it could be totally avoided!
That looks so tasty!
BEAUTIFULL
Looks great
I think it's time to open a steakhouse!!! Bomb looking steak!!
Amazing I love your sushi vids!
Hiro hit those mash potatoes with the blow torch.for a few secs to get it crispy.
Yes true charles the dish made by hiro is obviously amazing and tasty very nice video and maybe we are missing chicken because from many episodes you haven’t made a video on chicken 🐓 🍗 soo thank you chef and cameramen for this video and good afternoon
Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef of course just waiting for that can’t wait 😊
Gravy would be an amazing sauce with this roll!!
I like it ...looks amazing
I have a creative idea you might want to do!! You should fly me out there to Florida for a weekend! 😂
I'm thinking a chicken, mashed potatos and corn sushi roll or dumpling! MMmm
Would it still be sushi if you used mashed potatoes on the inside to substitute the rice? Hard to roll but that was my first thought when I saw this.
to make a tiny bit better, could have brushed the top of the mashed potato with butter and applied that torch to it a little. and a tad bit of horse radish inside.
Looks very nice
Amazing dish. My mouth is watering. I was thinking same as you, Chef, that a nice brown gravy or a red wine reduction sauce used very sparingly (maybe just in the final plating) could take the dish to yet another level. Lawrys has an impressive history and legacy that is really worth learning about if you haven't already. When I eat great prime rib, I love creamed horseradish. It would be interesting to serve this roll with some creamed horseradish. Did the mashed potatoes work as you hoped? For some reason I thought you might torch that a bit when you put it on top. Imagine if the potatoes had been pressed through a star-point pastry bag and then torched just to get a light broil on the potatoes. Anyway, this was one of your most ingenious creations. If I know you as well as I think I know you, you will continue to develop and refine this dish. G88D AFTERN88N.
Nice catch
Hello ,a little bit of gravy will be delicious or just soya sauce?
LMAO NICE CATCH HAHAHA... omg that made my day hiro
Excellent!!!!😄😄
Would it be possible to use a fork on the mash, rake it up a bit and blowtorch it so there's some crispy bits?
That might have to be added on top after cutting since blowtorching the ones that's already on the sushi might make the whole roll to be too hot
...hahah, every one of his dishes make my imagination spin, good idea Kenneth:)
Hiro, what type of rice did you use to make this?
FINALLY!!! A Sushi roll that I know my girlfriend will eat! lol Can't wait to try this! She's a very steak and potato kind of girl!
The more I watch these, the more I get the distinct impression that the titles should be more along the lines of "Confessions of a MAD sushi chef" ... or maybe for a series in the (near) future! ;o)
Hiro should've blow torch the mashed potatoes on top. Giving it some nice texture
xx yy what
G00d aftern00n Chef!
Haha, you started the video with Hiro's shoes. Flashback. ;0)
My Hiro!!! Amazing! I need to try that
Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef Because of you I've been hitting up tons of Sushi Bars in hopes that I can find a gem of a fish. My favorite sushi so far is Unagi
Hey hiro. I love your vids.
beautiful steak
Beatiful
Hiro, since you are a master sushi chef, I would love to see you prepare FUGU!
Great cooking. :)
I think a blow torch to the mashed potatoes when done would have been the icing on the cake.
4k GOODNESS!
Does he have a video where he shows us how to make sushi rice?
Good afternoon!
Very good
I've done this!
