Steam keeps the proceeds of the sales for 30 days typically. The devs cant possibly cash in before the end of the month, and i imagine there willl be lots of refunds.
Kind of understating the interest there was in this game, it was the most wishlisted game on steam twice even after people called this out as either never going to be released or a scam as soon as they looked into fntastic. For all that I don't think anyone predicted this level of dumpster fire, the drama around this game was a good laugh for a couple years though.
To be fair, Fntastic stated it will refund EVERYBODY, regardless of whether the player is past the two-hour playtime (Steam's limit to get a refund). sidebar: as a developer for over 50 years, my heart goes out to the devs. I'm certain the devs didn't set out to scam players, like, "Hey, lts make a sh1t game." The devs worked hard on a game they believed in. They wanted it to be good. We devs always want our final product to be good and our efforts appreciated. It's sad, when the dream crashes like this.

Yeah, Steam was refunding people who spent more than 2 hours playing it too.
