My great uncle was an Opry member, and actually got to meet Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings back when I was 4. I still remember it to this day because Waylon grabbed me up with one arm pinched me on the cheeks and told me to stay spunky for the rest of my life and I might just make it one day.

Great video of a great song done by two great singers. For those of you bashing Hank Jr., all I have to say is get real. Hank Williams Jr. is one of the greatest artists to grace country music, and has far outdone his illustrious father in both singing and songwriting. Go pick up a copy of "The New South" or "Habits Old and New," and you'll see what I'm talking about. Get over your narrow minded view of what country music should be and broaden your horizons a bit.

I think it's just a concert at the Ryman. I noticed daylight shining through the stained glass windows, so I don't think it's an Opry performance. Also, notice the mic stands. That backdrop is almost always there, no matter what show is going on. Sometimes you'll see it covered up or darkened.

Man, why did someone thumb down my comment. Didn't mean it could ever beat Hank. The upbeat isn't why I said it was easier. I thought Hank's version was great but his voice get's too high. But no one can ever remake most of Hank's songs. This is just one of the few. Example: I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry. Johnny Cash remade it. Horrible! It's a pure Hank Williams song and Move it On Over is one of my favorite Hank Williams songs. Pretty up beat too. :P lol. Did not mean that in an offensive way.

Imagine this song trying to get released and played in today's market. It would be deemed "Politically Incorrect" and we would have lost a great classic country song. Not to mention the fact that if either of these great artist tried to start a career in today's market, I'm sure they would be overlooked for someone more like Rascal Flatts (ugh).

Yes there is a lot of proof to back up my facts, in fact everywhere you read about Johnny Cash, you will find that he was married to a woman named Vivian Liberto from 1954 to 1966 and had four daughters from her (singer) Rosanne Cash, Kathy Cash Tittle (I'm friends with her on facebook), Tara Cash, and Cindy Cash. Also everywhere you read, you will find out that Hank Jr was married to a woman too, and his dauther's name is Hillary Williams, and his son Hank Williams III.
