Hi, I was wondering what the tube above the 4th coil pack is? I accidently snapped it while changing the 4th coil pack and cant found out what it is. It sounds like air is going through it
Hi mate I'm not sure exactly what pipe you are referring to if you can send me a picture I let you know what it's for links in the description to my Facebook page
I's funny to see engine that we never got here in Canada the first model year we have seen a 1.4 T in the Audi A3 E tron and the Jetta Hybrid and then we go it in the base Jetta but it's not the same generation I think that the engine you have there is the timing chain one I have heard that they were prone for Timing chain issues. is this true. ? I personally like engine with timing belts they are way more reliable if you do the timing belt service in the correct time .
V10PDTDI hi mate yes this one has a timing chain I have heard of problems but to be fair I think it's more lack of maintenance that causes the problem over there a better 1.4 engine everybody will laugh at over there a better 1.4 engine everybody will laugh at
Always change and oil the new o ring from oilfilter cap ..if you do that rigth it will never leak! Chekking the dipstick 10 seconds after starting wil not give you the rigth oillevel information.... Coiltrigger 5 pounds on aliexpress ;-) Why risk damage ? Forgot fuelfilter an interiorfilter.... and the brakefluid needs to be changed every 2 years. Bring back the oil change to once a year instead of 12000 miles and there will be no more problems with chains breaking or ratteling...iff you got the modification for chain and tenssioner already in on that is off course. Do not skip oil service on these engines! this will get verry expensive in the long run..... The Oil i use in my audi a3 1.4 TFSI is Castrol edge titanium 5w30 LL and it seems to like it......nice and quiet.
Hi mate like everything change it when you do your engine service I change my engine oil and do a full service every 3 to 5000 miles and that includes the gearbox transmission differentials whatever you happen to have have in your car
Wow I wouldn't listen to any car manufacturers nothing lasts forever a special oil condensation deterioration metal particles rust or thoughts affect oil it's up to you what you do I can advise you what I would do
5w30 is for diesels. I have this engine and in the manual is not the oil grade but the specifikations and approvals which is 504.00 for longlife service (30.000 km interval) or 502.00 for normal interval (15.000 km). If you search for 502.00 you will never find a 5w30 oil grade but only 0w40 or 5w40. I always buy Liqui Moly 5w40 Leichtlauf (violet bottle) and change it every 10.000 km.
One other thing that is different with VW and Audi car we have Here in North America is the engine have the exhaust facing towards the fire wall and the intake toward the radiator what I'm saying is that we never had a VW or Audi with a exhaust manifold in the front like that it must be nice when the time comes to change the Turbo. ..
V10PDTDI it all depends on the car here mate I did a Toyota two days ago and the exhaust was at the firewall but as far as I remember a lot of the Volkswagens the exhaust is to the front of the car here in Ireland
its just depending on the engine type where the exhaust will be. I had a mk4 golf1.6 8 valve with the exhaust to the firewall and now I got a mk7 1.2 turbo also the exhaust towards the firewall. but there is alot of room. Witch is not strange the golf mk7 build on the MQB platform the current. Passat uses the same platform with alot bigger engines.
Great video, gonna try my first service next month myself 🤞
Hi there I would like to know what that silver knob does above the engine cover??? Cause I have a slight noise coming from there
I'm in Jamaica. just bought a 2013 A3 and seeing how I'm gonna service it
stacs Henry it's nice to know where people watch me from I hope you understand me ok lol best of luck with your car
stacs Henry I have also done a video on a 2014 Audi service on a diesel engine

Hello mate, do you recommend changing oil in a dsg7 "dry" (DQ200) gearbox? If yes, at what mileage? Audi A3 Stronic
Hi mate like everything change it when you do your engine service I change my engine oil and do a full service every 3 to 5000 miles and that includes the gearbox transmission differentials whatever you happen to have have in your car
@@bodgitandleggitgarage thanks so I guess the answer is yes, change the oil in the transmission even if Audi says it lasts for ever....

would you use 5w 30 oil for 2002 vw golf with 135000 miles on clock.
No mate I would use 10 40 fully synthetic Volkswagen spec just because of the mileage the engine will be slightly worn
