I do think location is also a large factor. most of season one he's in full monster hunting mode, while for most of season 2 he's in chilling out/training mode. It kind of makes sense that he'd kill fewer people while standing in his own kitchen 😋

I’ve gone through all the comments looking for an answer for this, and I really wish I knew - the grunt counter would be even more dramatic!
We traded shirtless Geralt for shirtless Jaskier. There was less skin overall in the second season, along with the drop in kills and F-bombs. Still enjoyable, but I hope the trend doesn't continue. Geralt's nice moments were sweet, though.
Geralt definitely doesn't have a drinking problem. I would need a beer or six after getting all the Selkimaw guts off
I dont think some of the kills at the wedding counted. Alot of them get back up towards the end. He more or less just disabled them.
Agreed. Not all of those were death blows.
I think he also didn't count the monster from season 1 when he comes in the tavern while Jaskier is writing and he is covered in slime and guts and other gore

He may not have gotten his shirt of in season two but those tight pants plus all the deep leg movement he does in them more than make up for it! Lol never mind tossing a coin to your Witcher, you could bounce a coin OFF your Witcher!

I would add that it's noteworthy how his human to non-human kill ratio almost evens out in season 2
60 kills in 2 seasons is an impressive body count.
Missed confirmed non-human kill. Basilisk in season 1. Off scene, in the episode with the dragons. Opening scene with Jaskier watching Roach while the customers wait and attempt to steal Roach and the saddlebags.

Is that an error cuz at the end that you're subtracting 11 grunts from the total.

The grunts and lack of dialogue is why I like his character. It’s like No Country for Old Men in a fantasy story. I’m serious less dialogue for him and I would be happy.

Big error with the grunt counter at 5:16. It goes from 65 to 54... Still a lotta grunts buuuut...
So... One of the guys he killed in Blaviken (Civril, the guy with the crossbow) was a half-elf, not a human :)
I was surprised the F**K number was so low, I thought it was going to be way higher!
If there isn't a serious up-tick in semi-naked Geralt scenes in Season 3, there won't be enough grunts in the world to make up for it. Why cast Henry Cavill and then not parade him in titillating soft core bath scenes? What a waste.

Geralt has less screen time in season 2? Why did I feel it was the other way around?
