Jaskier is the literal best and is so so not straight. But that’s why we love him. You know he wrote Burn Witcher Burn while sobbing in his dark recently smashed up apartment. I love how he totally has a low key crush on both Geralt and Yen by the end of s2.
The pie thing is actually a good critique, he's saying Jaskers singing is really technically proficient but it's lacking real emotional substance, if anything his singing is too perfect and hence doesn't feel real.
Fun fact! The cave at 8:01 onwards is Rydal Cave in the Lake District, and is one of my dad and I's favourite walking/swimming spots! (not the cave the lake right by it the cave that Jaskier is bathing in isn't very good for swimming)
I loved the “goodbye, good luck, good riddance” line as well. He’s so extra in everything, it’s great. (That _was_ Jaskier’s, right? I’d hate to be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I’m not).

Considering that Henry Cavill is about as emotive as a piece of cardboard, Jaskier is ABSOLUTELY needed on this show, in like every scene. Not only does he carry it, he lifts it up, throws it in the air, and catches it again, all while singing a ridiculous song!
