- In this video I break the seal on the Garage Therapy V2 Snow Foam. The car is just back from a mega road trip around Scotland. Very Dirty indeed!!!!
Great content, thanks for the video! Really goes to show the impact of the environment on cars. 👍
Great result 👍 car’s popping!
The snow foam has done a great job. It’s just the mineral salts have clogged the coating. Could have used decon shampoo for light maintenance bucket wash. Now their new WSR would be a good shout. Good video👍
After all that snow and ice driving I'd be giving the underbody a clean also
Oh I did that as well off cam.
I think you might be expecting to much from a Citrus and SF
With the amount of miles and road grime traffic film you collected on your travels.
Yea I think it’s the dirtiest the car has ever been.
How do you clean your snow foam lance if you leave product in there.
Hi there. I used a bit of decon shampoo if it’s blocked up due to residues drying out. Soak it in that and then blow through each end. Also remove the rubber inlet pipe to get a good clean out of the intake area.
Which pressure machine are you using inckuding the gun please
Hi there! It’s the AVA P80 with an MTM SGS28 gun.
Great cleaning. Should incorporate some music.
In my previous videos I did but got bored of the same tunes! Ha ha ha!
Firstly cracking watch so I liked and subscribed for you. Your problem was Scottish dirt, it is a bit harder to remove. In my experience of living in Aberdeenshire & now near Glasgow I think I can honestly comment that Citrus overlaid with snow foam is my preferred method on a lightly soiled car but on that level of salt I would use Mitchell & King HD Snowfoam then rinse off then reapply with their snow foam to neutralise it before any contact wash. I was a loyal GT customer prior to switching to the aforementioned M & K who are within 5 minutes from me so I can pop over anytime and discuss my requirements and ask any advice. I am very interested in Yum products to try on a donor car before applying to my i-Pace pride & joy or my Civic Sport+. Their wheel cleaning products and procedure interests me greatly. Do you have any experience of their Ceramic sealant or QD not that I am a huge fan of ceramics. Is your car Ceramic coated other than Sigma or is it GT CS. Both those product I really like in fact the last time I used it were on a brand new Q7 and halfway through applying CS it started snowing so it had to come back so I could start over but at heart I am a wax man and as M & K are famed for their waxes that is what I use. I am glad someone else has their wing mirrors continually open and close during a detail. I now unlock the car, open a door then put the keys in the house and hey presto no more problem. I will stop rambling and look forward to your future content.
Hi thanks for the message.
The car is coated with GT Cerberus ceramic coating and is doing really well. It has been topped up with sigma mostly but has had 2 goes with Epic ceramic detailer which I love.
Thanks for the note regards the snow foam and pre wash plus Mitchell and King products.
My VW up is mainly treated with Yum products. Big fan. The quick detailer and ceramic detailer are amazing.
I still have to try sigma version 2! Oh and alpha wax.
Should be in my next video.
The epic automotive products are just so good though. Dave’s link with infinity wax is going well.
I wonder if you're just being to hard on yourself, let's be honest, your car is never that dirty. Like you said, maybe you just needed a tad more GTSF in the lance.
Hiya! Cheers for the comment. Yea was thinking that as well. Will give it another go once the white car gets dirty again!
What dilution did you use J? We would of recommended a different process which may have altered the success of your Prewash.
As some others have said, with that type of environment , heavy dirt, salt etc... It would of been a tough ask but it's hard to tell through a screen.
All copied. Thanks for the DM as well.
What bar pressure do you use for blasting your car ?
Hiya. 160 bar is the maximum on the P80 but varies with water pressure from mains.
