    Nice !!
I have a 1979 rare Lincoln Continental town coupe. I have videos posted of mine if you want to see it. It’s the two door version of the continental town car. 1981 was the last year you can get a town coupe. After that, the only way you could get a two door Lincoln was the mark series.

Thanks for the heads up! My grandpa had a yellow ‘79 town car 4 door, i call it jabba’s sail barge. Coupes are so cool. I will check out yours!

Shame to hear about the curb incident. Hopefully its an easy fix. I remember I used to not really like the design of these '80s Town Cars, but its grown on me over time. These were the last vehicles really attributed to the Gene Bordinat era of Ford design, Ford's VP of design during the 1960s and 1970s. Evidently, he was into slab-sides, square styling, and also that very straight, horizontal fender line. You'll also notice a lot of Fords of that era have a very large front overhang and a (relatively) short rear overhang, the opposite of what GM was doing at the time. Though on these I suspect the front overhang may just be due to Ford wanting to share the front frame sections with the Grand Marquis, but also wanting a longer hood. A buddy of mine has a white '89 Town Car I might be buying from him in a few months time. I've been looking for a 90-94, but this guy only wants $1500 for the '89, and it has shiny paint and no rust, so its hard to turn down. I also think it'd be an interesting comparison to a 90-94 when I get one. Its also a base like yours.

Holy crap Melvin, you're the man.
"Gene Bordinat." I actually really wanted to know who was behind my favorite Lincoln styling. TYSM.
$1500 for a rust-free '89 is a bargain. Even if you don't keep it, you could flip that for more. Follow your heart.
