  • No other animal has influenced our lives as much as the horse. Our entire history is indivisibly linked to this animal. This documentary portrays a relationship that goes far beyond what we imagine. Although the use of horses has fallen drastically since the start of the Industrial Revolution, our hearts still beat as one; when we look through their eyes, we see ourselves. When we think of freedom… of harmony… of beauty… of nobility… of strength… of speed… we think of horses as a reference point… HORSES

All wild horse's in the world should be allowed to roam wild and free ❤🙏.

There is no species of truly WILD. Every Horse in the wild is FERAL. Like a cat or dog that's never met a human, feral. They all descend from domesticated horses that were let free in the wild.

@@Seize-all-tommorows That's not strictly true. The Takhi (Przewalski's horse) are truly wild horses.

@jg5755 Actually, I used to think that too. But now we gave research that suggests they are actually descended from feral horses. The last truly WILD horses have been bred out of existence, but yes the prezewalski's Horse is the closest in resemblance to what prehistoric extinct horses looked like. Shorter, bulkier and more of a donkey like appearance. We do however have truly WILD donkeys like the somali wild donkey for example. I guess horses have been so valuable that we've captured the wild ones and bred them out of existence. Nowadays horses CAN live in the wild as feral, but it's quite unethical to me to prioritise our own domestic animals in wild spaces instead of actually wild animals. People will kill of wolves and make "wild horse wildlife reserves" when it's quite obvious that they simply want to preserve the gene pool and breed stronger horses.

Instead of birth control they should introduce African lions to regulate their ecosystems, as the herbivores are overgrazing. Every wild environment needs and apex predator. Lions live in a similar environment, so would thrive in that land.

Such a beautiful film and you learn how people are trying to keep horses wild - it is their freedom that we cherish the most -

Imagine how people treated their horses when to most they were just for transportation. Waiting tied out in all weather, lameness tolerated or not noticed , heavy loads, long hours of work. No grazing in cities etc, etc.

How are automobiles better than these machines? Why we didn't design cooling systems for them instead? How? Why?
Why do we need to travel faster than 80kmh on land? Wouldn't have been easier and environmental friendly to design highways for them?
Who's responsible for for all the mess that's currently going on to this harmonic creation?????

It's so embarrassing! After the intro the first scene including humans they whip the horses like maniacs! The slow motion didn't make it better, so I can stop watching here.

Unfortunately are government doesn’t see them as wild. And if we want things to change with slaughter of these gorgeous horses we MUST call are congress men and women. Even better if you can get to Washington DC and speak up a lot of the Congress have no idea how horses are slaughtered and the abuse these horses go through auctions, etc. etc. if you can bring pictures from your local rescues phenomenal let’s make a difference‼️🙏🏼🩵
