It's been a while! Time To jump into Cayo Perico and try out some concerns that you guys have over a possible Nerf? Let's test it!

Only things i noticed about cayo from playing it the last week , during the actual mission is the guard that's behind the car is gone , the cash in the wall safe (office) is a little bit lower , and the elite challenge pay out is lower . You can still swim out tho

You can only go through it once you get the loot its locked from the outside and I dont think you can go through it when your doing the intel.

I did a solo run off peninsula and it felt like swimming 3 times till the words went away. I have never swam that far off shore.

I swear people make up so much shot about this game... u can swim away i think theres just alot of brain dead nimrods that dont know what there doing

Nah i guess it was bugged I couldn't swim away plus numerous bugs. It seems to be fixed now

If your grinding out the CY the cool down only applies to the character and not your profile. You can run them back to back solo w 2 characters.
Something that happened to me was that, if i swam too deep when escaping, the rebreathers dissapeared and made me drown. To avoid that, make sure you keep a safe distance from the ocean floor when swimming and you should be okay.
I played with a friend who has literally zero patience and when i told him my rebreathers disappeared, he threw a damn fit. Glad to know there's others in the same boat as well😞

It’s not about going deep there is two reason for that 1:if you alert the guards and the boats are on top of you that way you can’t finish the heist by swimming and if you get close to that black spot your rebreather automatically will be gone 2:if you go to the wrong way the mission will not gonna finish and rebreather will be off or if your friend goes wrong. To avoid this you have to follow the light and you and your friend have the be in the same page (communication)
Swimming still works for me. 🤷♂️I did it a couple of days ago. And i’m on console (PS5). Now i do wanna note, if u were to alert the guards after leaving the compound, the swimming will MOST likely not work. Unless you manage to swim and loose them… But it’s rare🤷♂️
It still works when they are triggered, you just need to swim further and deeper

Me in early days, cuz i normally took the bike that was there, but the alarm would go off cause of the guy in the jeep, i then had to swim so long the rebreather would ‘stop working’ and drown like 5 times back to back, these days i play with friends or randoms and we just run to the cliff and aim-down-the-side to walk off. 99% of the times we get no alarm (if didn’t had alarm allready)
The problem is I think a lot of people are too stupid to look at the minimap and make sure that they are actively swimming away from the islands they're probably swimming still within the island and aren't triggering the edge of the map

What I found different with cayo with the new update is that I used to be able to kill the guards with the red cones of vision (with the exception of the juggernaut) and be able to still keep stealth. Now when I do that, i somehow get caught
The red circle guard that moves between the gate & door at the bottom of the stairs to El Rubio's office is probably the one getting you caught. If you don't drop him behind the half wall near the gate, the Juggernaut spots him. Of course, you can just sneak behind or past the red guards and go straight to the elevator if you want to do a pure stealth run. But of course, you won't have the gate keys to get to the basement easier.
The "NERF" people were talking about was when the update dropped if you collected a painting after collecting the safe contents,the painting value was zero so normally to fix it you would collect the painting first but I think rockstar should have fixed it
I think another Nerf people were talking about was being able to get the El Rubio safe money twice if you ran it with a Duo. Rockstar patched that, apparently.
Yes please do a whole guide! I’m a returning player and getting back into things after a lot of additions while I have been away, a whole guide would be very helpful!
You can still swim away but what the problem was is that it would take long on the swimming you could swim and swim and the mission wouldn’t end until after maybe 2 minutes in the water but now rockstar fixed it
He just showed y'all its not nerf and there are still comments about it being nerfed
it cant be nmerfed becausew at some point you reach the edge of the map.
ikr like i did it while watchin this on my phone and im on ps4 now if they said money nerf or something or time nerf i could see but that was never nerfed/ removed

I played it the other day and didn’t have a problem
it’s deff nerfed. He got fairly lucky on this run. I bet after this coco cola will not spawn. sometime nothing will spawn at all in the hanger. and also guards much more on alert so way harder to take guard ou with them being seen or herd even shooting the cameras
I think it's the guard who stands in front of the building at 9:04, even if you kill him in the corner the other guards can still detect the body.
I watched a friend try it the other day, I think anyone who thinks swimming doesn’t work is just swimming in the wrong direction. The homie wasn’t paying attention to the map and was swimming towards land.
One thing that I have an issue after the Bail DLC is that painting don't give any money, however that bug was when the dlc came out so it could have been fixed by now
What I have also discovered from this is that you don’t need to kill the car that comes round after you kill the motorcycle at the end because you didn’t and alarms didn’t go off🤷🏻♂️
It can still get spotted (happened to me a couple days ago), but it shouldn't matter because you're in the water by then.
Personal recent experience (on pc) - doing it solo with the bike jump off of the end and swimming to the skeleton, works fine. Doing it with two players and swimming out along the canyon, takes FOREVER before it says you made it, like 5-8 minutes, and this happened three times out of three.
There is apparently a glitch with the salvage yard mission and you can earn 400k every 10mins apparently
Ya as you drive in after robbery like 2 seconds before screen goes black close app if u did it right you will have the car to sell and the robbery still available to do start right up again

I discovered the issue. If you swim very deep when escaping you will die, if you start surfacing when it says that Rubio is heading back you’ll be good, I believe the rebreather is glitched.
One thing I noticed while doing the heist as well as in your video is that there seems to be a bug with the cameras and the main gate stealth approach. The cameras are shown white meaning that you can walk freely past them without a gun in your hand, but it only works while wearing a disguise, same can be said for the main gate stealth approach, you need a supply truck and disguise to get inside the compound without triggering the alarms, but you can see throughout the video you didn't get a disguise yet were able to see the cameras white on the map and you can see the supply truck blip being highlighted when you were close to the drainage tunnel even though you neither had a disguise nor a supply truck. This also happened when I was doing the heist a couple of days ago, so this likely is a bug I noticed.I haven't tested the approach though so I am not too sure. BTW I love your spin the wheel series and I hope it comes back soon.
You can still swim away but if you swim the wrong way you can drown
Still works exactly the same for me. The merry weather mission is not buffed. I still get plenty of office missions and switching lobbies is still the best way to avoid merry weather. I’m on PS5 too.
The only time I had problems is in the early game days, getting disoriented and swimming the wrong way but any point in the minefield works. These days I just aim for the nearest triangle of mines and I'm out.
please do spin the wheel series on cayo perico, i really loved it and from there i found your channel
it appears the auto shop got changed as well, seems like the last job you do for it gets taken out of the rotation when looking through the board each time it refreshes.
I hopped back on recently (last wknd) and been doing the Union Depository heist which i think is the one your talking about. I've been re doing it after i finish it, i did it maybe about 3 times. Never did the other heist after i did it, it was just available for me to start it again
When jumping and swimming doesnt work its because people lost their bearings and went the wrong way. There is a narrow band that you have to stay inside when swimming away. alwas be just to the left of the point. if you get to the right spot you can slide down and usually land with a combat roll so not even be injured. If you dont see the underwater canyon, you went the wrong way and you'll swim until you get an "out of bounds" message.
I had brilliant time getting around on Cayo gathering info. Soon as I got there opened up phone and clicked on vinewood option to spawn deluxo, so much easier lol
I noticed the Merryweather issue also. During the day before DLC update I have noticed bonkers stuff , guard glitches . Also during previous updates in 2 player mode.
Maybe check out if union dep is glitched. Repeatedly couldn't park car in some of the marked spots during setup. Sent them a ticket on the issue.

Swimming away still works. I just did it last night twice. I played through with a friend and we ran his Cayo setup and mine. Both times we jumped off the peninsula by the compound. But don't give Rockstar any ideas.
When you swim out all you have to do is swim to the darkest grey area on the mini map and stay there, you can do it anywhere
The shortcut always work but it usually takes around 2 minutes with me almost running out of air at the bottom of the ravine before it shows the cutscene.

The problem that people will be having is going off at the wrong place as you can be swimming for quite a while. I normally do it solo and it was when I was helping out a few people I saw why they were having trouble exiting as they all seem to jump in right by the wall to the compound
I swim in a completely different area and it works just fine for me
I'm on PS5 and the swimming works for me. if you're off on where to swim I seen that it wont end the heist. I swam for 2-3 mins then checked the map and see I was too far south of the underwater canyon, so I swam up and it finished the heist. great video as always my guy.
The swimmings buggy used to occasionally make me swim miles but theres loads of dif spots that end
i've noticed that if you have the subtitles on, it'll mess up the last dialouge and youll have to swim out really far to escape
The Dre mission usually takes me around 45 minutes, an hour if I'm dinkin' around.
Im making just above 1.5 mil an hour doing the salvage yard replay glitch, it's on par with Cayo if not better especially if you get the top tier car at the cargo ship robbery. It takes around 8 mins a mission so you can do 5 in a hour including sale time it's op right now

You should do one for casino heist a spin the wheel video and you can do it with a Golden taco member or a big contributor that be a fun video casino would have a lot more choices
Just keep swimming until the words at the bottom disappear, then just stop and wait I’ve done the heist at least 4 times and it’s worked.
I haven't done a Cayo in over a year. I got burned out on it. But most of my fortune came from the union depository exploit. And the Dre job when it has double pay. I'm able to finish the Dre mission in about an hour with job warping.
I can use this same method on my pc, ps5 or series x and it still works just fine. I think people only say its "nerfed" just to get you to make a video lol
I have done the cayo about 7 times in the past two weeks and i still swim out. I am on xbox series x for those that also are on series x

There have been no nerfs to Cayo on ps5. Can confirm. I’ve done prob 20 since DLC came out and they only issue I see is that it feels like the tequila chances have been increased. I got 7 tequilas in a row over the last 3 days.

Ok, this is amazing. If I knew you could just stealth run thru and get to the room I would have been doing waaaay more Cayo heists. I rarely do it because its stressful for me, lol.
you can jump up on the crate before you move it to see what is on the second level of the warehouse no. 1
You can still swim but one thing that’s annoyed me is that I had a cayo prep finished and then come update night I go to my kosatka and the entire prep was gone like I never even paid for it
I do think the secondary loots were nerfed at the airfield. Last day I could only fill around 80% with one coke and one green stuffs.
Most of yall saying you cant swim to the end its because you go too deep down the ocean floor thats why try to stay a bit on top and it will work

Everything still the same for me on xbox series s. Also one thing ive noticed is that my primary has been changing every time i do it ( i do it every day) unlike before where id get the stinky tequila every time
On PS5 when I swim in the ravine even with the rebreathers for some reason I lose my breath and die. Also the best way to make money in GTA 5 is if I give you a bogden mission where u can make 1.5 mil in 12 min....
PS5 here- I did Cayo a couple days ago and I had to swim for quite a while as a patrol boat stayed right above me and the. my health went down randomly but I managed to eat some snacks and eventually it did work-😅
Sometimes on the ps5 it won't let you swim to complete it. it has happened me a few times over the past year
Ofc you can swim away. Or else you can't leave the island at all as good as. As if Rockstar can program that it won't count if you're not in a boat.

I do cayo a lot with randoms. And this may be the problem with the swimming not working. A lot of randoms I join, they jump off but they jump off at the wrong part and they have to swim clear out to the edge of the map practically before it ends the heist.
I’m on Xbox Series X and swimming away still works today.
I have found theat the cameras outside the compound are glitches and are always white even if you don't have a disguise on and some of the will trigger even if you do have a disguise on
I can confirm that you can still swim away; my friend and I have done it three times since the update

I’m on Xbox Series X and when you jump of the edge of Cayo, it still works for me
If you jump into the water at the wrong spot then you will have to swim forever but it will still go one time it had sent me back to the island and a couple of seconds after it went to the pass cut screen
People just say dumb stuff for the hell of it these days, only thing i noticed was the bike doesn't spawn by the solar panels anymore.
I've had that happen a few times which is ok because the hummer is pretty quick.

Last weekend 12th/13th July, I completed Cayo eventually however, I took the bike, drove off the island where everyone else does, I swam and swam with nothing happening. I ran out of rebreathers; Supposed to have X20 of them but as soon as the 19th one ran out it changed to normal breathing, I ended up drowning and having to quick restart from last check point, lost elite challenge etc. Messaged Rockstar about it and the couldn't care a sh#t because i completed it any way. I kept saying i lost the elite challenge etc and i even sent them a map of where i did the jump. They replied unfortunately they've checked my profile thoroughly and found no issues as the heist did complete.

I was playing on PC just tonight. While going on the water I loose money and also there was an attack boat the helicopter. Took me forever to escape. Just happened to me 4 hours ago.
You can no longer kill the guys between 9:20-10. After getting the primary loot youll get detected. Also the guy on the stairs back on the airstrip will get detected by the jeep that comes threw. So far idk if that jeep comes back around more then once. I just avoid killing anyone now except the guy in front of the shed hangar
Based on my experience, I can kill the guard at 9:17 and 9:26 without alerting all guards after I collect the primary target. That way, I can increase the chance of getting the gate key, so I don't have to use the elevator in Rubio's office. You can see in my recent video
Previously I also killed the guard at 9:13 and yeah, that makes all guards get alerted after I collect the primary target

Not if you land properly I’ve have always drove into the water with the motorcycle or even with the jeep when I play with a friend. We just take a little bit of damage and were good to swim away.
If you dont swim in the correct trench, the swimming technique doesn't work. I took a new friend(for his first time) through cayo. Im used to doing it solo and stealing the bike, but since i had to get my friend out too, we just ran it.... But without the bike, and the route that we take on it, i ended up jumping into the water in the wrong place. We swam through a trench, but never got to the tall plant and he drowned. I had it setup on my 2nd character, and took him through again. This time i was aware of my mistake and went to the correct place to enter the water, we swam out no prob. I think i got him hooked. Hes saving up for a kosatka now
AKA the person complaining was disoriented from the splash and swam a bad angle along the coast which took too long for his liking resulting in him spamming

Yes sometimes cp have some nerf n serve since no matter if new or no new update come in but most they act server too much bec of NPC is full bss with catch during you ain't even pass them with their blue viewbuster.

A few days ago i did the perico heist and it was buggy af. My long fin disappeared, i got bricked in the basement for 45 seconds i couldnt move. The loot has been changed around and i was stuck at the end. I backed out and did the heist again everything was good except there wasnt ebough oot to fill the bag in the hangar
Swim out definitely still works but it seems a lot longer then the last time I did it. Granted I've not played in close to a year properly 😂
Please do an updated guide, I just bought the sub for the first time recently and none of the typical guides are as accurate anymore it seems, idk if it’s a little different the first time thru but Im nervous and confused 😂😭
Yeah that mission with Merriweather seems like that’s the default mission
Some areas take forever to swim away from Cayo Perico, and some are almost instant. I like to head west since going behind the compound is a long swim even with scuba gear.
The people who keep saying it's nerfed just aren't jumping off at the right angle, if you don't go off that cape and further along the coast, it doesn't work...
DONT KILL ANYONE except the gaurd the gaurds the entry to the office at the beginning of the stairs ..😢 and if you lucky he might drop the key

GG, another very informative video. I know that the airstrip is the easiest method but I like to mix it up and do the North Dock as well but can’t do the middle loot no matter what I try, killing the the guard, not killing the guard when I cut the chain the alarm goes off.
I always get detected when i do the heist with friends. The stupid infinite cone always gets us. Its so buggy!

I've ran cayo so many times sorta the exact same way I've made millions and have almost everything in game. You show great ways to make money in gta. The glitches for money never really work if they do they are banable so the best way to make money is grind Cayo twice atleast twice a day
