I Buy it too, As soon as we could buy it on the western digital site I took it. It was $260 can tax included with shipping for the 2TB .The starting price was cheaper than today.

Mike I installed the WD SN850 2TB with heatsink last week into my PS5 and couldn't be happier, just waiting for my A95K then I am set. Got mine for £177 during amazon prime day last week.

@@TheGodfather1022 it has been serving me best for gaming. It is not the accurate reference looking TV but I am not watching TV in the dark so I don't mund slight inaccuracies. For accuracy I prefer my media room with calibrated TV in totally dark room.

There is a gap between the heat exchanger and the chips on the board on this preassembled ssd model have a look by holding it in front of an light source.

@@MyGadgetsWorld i retuned mine and bought one without heat sink and installed the thermal pad and heat sink myself to ensure no gap as it will increase the life and performance of the ssd if there is proper heat dissipation. WD should have placed a recall on this ssd with preassembled heat sink but they decided not to.
@@houman2009 that's what I did to mine . I bought off market heatsink and thermal pad. Been working great.
WOW well good thing that the PS5 dock the the SSD sits in is also a big heat sink and the PS5 has a great cooling system so it should be just fine 😊

Do not buy anything from WD directly. Use a third party if you insist on having their products. The reason I say this is because they have delivered my product using UPS, who left it in an insecure location from where it was stolen (if it was actually my door, can't really tell from the picture), and now they refuse to help. They insisted I get a crime number which I have done and now they have just turned around, ordered me a 20% discount on my next purchase OR an extra years warranty on the item that has been stolen. Complete joke of a company, I will be taking it further and completely out of their hands.

To a answer your question; I have 1tb plus the PS5 comes with 667 right now I have 17 PS5 games installed and still have 500gb free space I also have a 2TB HDD for all PS4 games but truly it’s person to person how many games do you have. For me 1TB SSD is plenty
