Got a rough country bull bar with LED lights for Christmas! Definitely planning on keeping that lip/splash guard on my '17 Ram. Definitely want to get those black '17 rims too. They look better than chrome.
Looks Good... When I put one on my 2005 Dodge Dakota I didn't remove the pan either. I used a dremel moto tool with a cut off wheel to cut the plastic. 3 years later a idiot in a Jeep passed me in a snow storm going down the mountain and when coming back over in the lane went sideways 50' in front of me. Had no choice but to hit the brakes or hit him. The Dakota went sideways then head on into the guardrail. A reflector on the guard rail cracked a headlight and the, "bull bar", cracked the chrome grille but that was it. Adjuster said policy wouldn't cover bull bar as it was a accessory. I priced a new grille and headlight at the dealer and asked the adjuster if I could install them. He said the bull bar saved the truck from a lot of damage so he allowed for a new one. After I got the check I ordered the headlight, grille, and bull bar off Ebay and walked away with $120. They work. I put one on my current Nissan Frontier when I got it.
You did a good job of showing us how to install but I may use my dremel when I cut the valence, good idea on keeping it on. Looks good, I got the same truck but with a quad cab and I wondered how it would look if I put one on, now I know, thanks!
I know a dremel would have made it easier. But I didn't have one at the time. I was glad it wasn't too hard to put on. I still like it. Thanks for watching!
Hard to believe you did that five years ago. I enjoyed that video very much, you're a funny guy. I did that in my best Joe Pesci voice by the way. I have a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 that I'm thinking of buying one for my truck, I saw it on eBay for $174 which is really isn't a bad price. Anyway, I will be referring to your video if and when I buy that cattleguard or bumper guard. Thanks for the video.
Nice! I'm glad that you liked watching! It is still on my truck and holding up good. I even hit a deer with it once. No damage but if I didn't have it there would have been alot of damage.
Good job! Splash guard protects from rust... You should also consider an undercoating that protects from rust as well. I like these kind of videos... car maintenance or enhancements. Cool truck! 😎 Can't wait for your lights to come. 👍
Currently doing this on my 2014 Ram 1500 I took off the splash guard lord it was a pain to get off ..... fyi the support brackets are put on wrong the open slotted side goes on the main bracket and the closed side bolts on to the trunk
I got a show room condition 2008 Ram 1500 slt Big Horn I'm doing mine next week I do like the black and chrome skid plate looks nice bud I'm excited to do mine I'll post a picture of mine when I get it done. Where did you get that two tone one at? Thank's 👍
i was thinking about doing that to my 2011 chevy silverado LTZ i might put a herb bumper on mine! but might keep the splash guard on mine i also have splash guards for the tires as well! bought my truck used last year almost mint 110 thousand miles heated leather and a custom tow package love that truck!!! nice ram 1500 as well!!!
Looks amazing friend. I own a silver Ram with chrome bumpers and can’t decide if I like the black or chrome version more. Also I’m trying to find one that either doesn’t interfere with sensors or relocates them? Thanks
I couldn't decide either. That's why I chose the black and steel colors. It helped once when a deer ran across the road. He got hit but I had no damage. My 2013 doesn't have all the sensors in the bumper.
Rick, you should have had it in sport +, +4, driving up on the ramp!! Lol. Could you imagine! The pedal Commander at that setting would be ridiculous driving up the ramps!
That's nice Rick. Can't wait to see the lights you get. Then you'll have to video How it looks at night? Good job. Now show us how it will take a deer out😃
This video may be 3 years old but it help me very much much appreciated thank you 🙏
Great! I'm glad it was a help for you. Thanks for watching!
It's five years old for me but it's still helpful, lol
Love your "pillow" at 12:29 That really dressed the front of your truck up. Looking forward to seeing it with the LEDs.

@@RickMammana Lol. I used to do the same thing before I got the dremel so I hear ya... I could feel your pain... very nice truck and all the add-ons!
Never use ramps on gravel. I learned my lesson the hard way. But nice truck I just added the same bar to mine.
You're right! Luckily the driveway is paved now.
Boy, that really spruces up your truck! Nice job, Rick!

I have a 1992 mustang I have been replacing stuff on, A lot of videos off here help a lot.
Yeah we can learn anything online these days. I'm glad. :)

Thanks I'm glad you like it! Yes after being under there I see I should undercoat it. And clean it up.
I got a 14 express regular cab. I was wondering what it would look like with a bull bar. Thanks dude!
👍😎👍 Cool! Thanks for watching!
Was wondering the same thing on my regular cab
Nothing screams American ingenuity like Working on your truck and a gravel driveway with crocs on

Thanks! 👍😎👍
Nice truck man. That bull bar looks great! Great video!

There is a link in the video description below the video where I got it from. Thanks for watching!
I worked up a hell of an appetite watching you do all that work. What's for dinner?
Oh just the Chinese buffet. Still hungry. :)
I LOVE Asian buffets. Eat like there's no tomorrow. :)
Thanks for this video! Now i have an idea on how to put it on myself!!👏🏼👍🏼
Next mower end of the season put away?
Yes please! Time for another John Deere video! :D
Okay, I just subscribed to you. I randomly saw your Sheetz video with the burrito last week. And now this. Too much of a coincidence lol..
Thank you very much! :)
Did you order the right one, seams to small for your truck
Awesome job looks great and your truck sounds amazing what kind of exhaust you running brother?
Thanks! I have a Flowmaster exhaust. Here is a video when I installed it. ruclips.net/video/MiqoJCtNn64/видео.html

I hope not with the deer. But I do have a dash cam so we'll see it if it happens.
Great video. Hilarious! Can't wait to install mine.
Good job! Smart thinking! Sharp looking!
Thank you very much!
That truck is beautiful
Thank you very much! 👍👍
Can I get a summary on what tools you needed? I think I missed it in the video.
@@The_Hip_Vet It was so long ago I'd have to watch it again to remember. :)
cool truck rick
Thank you very much!
your welcome rick
Your truck is bad ass!!!
Thanks! I love it. 👍😎👍
Pretty smooth install Rick. It has nice looks, and when you catch a cow you can bring it home to BBQ. lol. Thanks for sharing this with us. 👍👍
Mmmmmm
I did remove my splash guard and I had much better perfect cuts then you did right in the money.
I'd recommend laying cardboard down next time you work on that gravel. Nothing like kneeling 9n some sharp edges of rock on your knees man
Lookin good Rick!
Thanks!
Good job. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Now just get a Ram with a Cummings and you'll be set. Lol forreal tho clean looking truck.
From cooking to car work. What can't you do?? :) you guys need to be my neighbor. Haha
😁 That would be fun.
Can I ask what the purpose of your bar is?
I'd say to protect the front end. Last week I hit a deer and had no damage. If it wasn't there it would have destroyed my bumper and grill probably.
beautiful
Looks nice!
Thanks! :)
I wish i saw this video before i installed mine
very funny video and informative
Here in the country deer are bad about jumping out in front us.
Yes we have that here too.
What's for dinner after all that work .
Eh the crummy Chinese buffet. :) But I was hungry so it wasn't too bad.
Good somewhat humourous vid, get a dremmel you won't regret it. 👍
Last time you got that cover it didn't even fit. Remember. Don't look at me. Glasses.
Yeah when I got the hood protector! This fits though. So far.
Aw I thought this was how to cook food on a engine block : )
now install some hella lights :D
Yeah I'm gonna get some kind of lights.
use a dremel for God's sake....I got exhausted watching this.
💪
Are you gonna use that to Ram people lol... Should've used a multitool to cut the holes.
Do u smell what the rock is cooking ?!?!??
goober
Dude get a dremel tool
Dude
It heavy hahaha 40 pounds !!!
"saved an hour" lol spent an hour using a blade to cut, instead of a Dremel lolol.
Mostly just giving you shit ;). Truck looks way better with the bullbar!
Poor show
Thanks.
