Yes! Mrs. Skeffington is wonderful. I also love the other movie with bette davis. Paul henreid as well. Anyone remember this movie? Bette is a pianist and Paul Henreid a cellist? In every movie Claude acted in was wonderful. This was my fave.
@@ericasklar4584 oh geez i really have to find the movie with Bette Davis two absolutely amazing talents with such diverse characteristics between them.
I loved claude rains in The Invisible Man 1932 and Casablanca 1942, shame he started late but i understand the timing when he was born. A class act. And acted with some golden age of hollywood actors. I did not no about claude's eye being effected by gas during WW1. 90 percent of vision blurred completely. But as the class act he was he just kept on going giving us his best. RIP Mr Claude Rains. Genuis.
I see the usual trolls are saying it’s not sad it’s life, well obviously they have not lost a loved one, if you have lost a loved one you certainly are sad and a lot of other strong emotions , to get back to Claude I think that the way he was admired by his fellow actors tells us all we need to know about his acting abilities, I know nothing about his personal life only what has been told here, so something must have been missing in his emotional life to marry so many times
I enjoyed the Invisible man. That was my favorite movie with Claude however I did like alot of his other performances as well. RIP Claude. You did good.
Not only as an actor - she loved him truly☝ but Claude had had a rough life and needed smbd calm and comforting to be with - and Bette had her own psychological problems. I believe if she behaved differently they could ve been together🥰🥲
Amazing story. He really earned his success in more ways than actors today who only have one job.
My favorite actor of the first half of the 20th century; top voice. What an amazing talent and artist.

I remember watching “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”, in High School Government Class! I didn’t know that Claude Rains starred in that Movie!

Great actor. Loved his films and his voice. I'm disappointed you did not give him credit for his role in Now Voyager.
The ONLY actor that Bette Davis was in awe of.
And so am I!

Ok he liked to drink but god what a legacy to all who admire consistently fine acting
"Round up the usual suspects."
A fine actor.
Mr. Rains went back in time for his marriage to Beatriz Thomas 1942-April 8, 1935 6:58
God Bless Him.💜🙏
Shame on you for not listing "Now Voyager" to the list of his wonderful movies.
It was SIMPLY THE BEST!!! I SO WANTED HIM TO END UP WITH BETTE'S CHARACTER 😭😭😭❤❤❤
What about here comes Mr.Jordan ? One of my favorites.
1 on 12 children...some poor little ones dying of malnutrition 😔
Twelve children 😔
Shocking
He had one failed marriage after another and eventually died as a result of his heavy drinking.
Everyone ends.....not so sad, just life.
I was going to say the same thing.
Reading verbatim from Wikipedia
This series of videos is extremely stupid, they weren't all SAD endings. As someone said earlier, 'click bait'.
King John in Warner Bros. “Robin Hood.”
Prince John
🧞 Magnificent.
Its just gross when he has love scenes
Ok, but work on proper pronunciation. You should be worthy of your subject.
