    I always get a laugh when I'm deep into reading a fisheries survey for a lake and then after 15 minutes I realize the survey was from 2012.

    TJ, man… this is such a fun thing to watch. Most RUclipsrs it’s just “insert this method” and watch catch fish which is great but does get tiresome at times surprisingly. Seeing the actual and practical information/tactical plan in real time is not only so much more enjoyable to watch… but amazingly helpful as you actually see the cause and effect take place. #1 walleye RUclipsr in my opinion by far! Keep it up dude. So enjoyable to watch.

      Really appreciate that feedback and kind words, Neil! There’s still some logistical thing that I want to clean up with how I present the information clearly, but I really like giving “real time” info. Thinking about doing some longer uncut videos like my buddy Nick just did! Always appreciate the comment!

    The absolute best and most important factor you can find on mn dnr lakefinder is it tells you maximum depth of plant growth. If it's 11ft, depth highlight gets set +/- a foot from that depth. If it's 7feet and murky, it goes +/- 1ft from that. It gives you lots of areas to find weeds rapidly.

    Amazing videos that are actually helpful. I’ve been stubbornly trying to solve a local very clear lake that I know has some decent walleye, and the weeds are already out to around 17 feet. I’m thinking about just changing to something with darker water, but I do think I’ll try looking for some deeper breaks outside of that weed edge before I give up.

      @@tjsguideservice mostly milfoil but I’ve pulled up cabbage here and there. I think the reality is, with my level of skill (and no mega live, only side imaging), I’m probably just putting myself in a situation where I’m more likely to fail and I should drive to a more promising lake. I’ve got some others worth checking out

    Could you do a video on 11th crow wing lake? I can’t catch a walleye during the summer on that lake to save my life, but winter months I can. Got skunked this weekend up there again and it’s driving me nuts. Thanks.

      I typically don’t do videos on specific lakes like that when they are smaller as I don’t want to put too much pressure on a small body of water. Feel free to message me on Facebook or Instagram and I’ll try help however I can!

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  Месяц назад

      I have the Mega + model. #1 thing I recommend is make sure it’s level. I’ll add a video to show how. That makes a huge difference! ruclips.net/video/JuYsmJRc_fE/видео.htmlsi=KDqAGH5J9_MU6pNs

    • @tjsguideservice

    How is it chasing schools of fish with the livescope in the back of the boat? If fished with it in the front of the boat but never in the back. Just got my own livescope and I love the idea of having it in the back of the boat but just not sure.

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  Месяц назад

      They definitely both have their pros and cons. I love not cracking my neck down with my livescope is in back and having everything right around me. Front is also very nice because you can cast and direction and not have any issues. When it’s really windy and I’m setting up on schools I like it in back. Chasing single big fish and when it’s calm I like it in front of me

    • @tjsguideservice

    We’re I fish is a reef from 12-18 feet with weeds on the top and it’s odd in the middle of the day dead calm and 95 degrees you catch them then other days alittle wind or some chop there their but don’t bite I swear walleye a so different state to state not very often do I hear guy trolling in 30 ft we’re I live mostly before ice forms but it’s mainly on shallow reefs around us I’d love to take you out walleye fishing in my state and show you how different it is it’s always Minnesota go to New York or even VT

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  Месяц назад +1

      That’s awesome! It is pretty crazy how different walleyes can be from state to state. Even from lake to lake! Sometimes we have lakes that are 10 miles away and fish completely different! Makes it fun and frustrating 😂
