As someone who lives in Virginia, not much walleye. I fish for them exclusively when I take a trip to Canada twice a year and so these videos help cut down time wasted so I can hit the fish and catch them more quickly. Thanks
Very helpful informative video as a new live scope owner and not being the most tech savvy guy around you’ve made navigation around the unit much easier! Is there anyway you can explain how you got that black background that is an awesome feature. Thanks.
I have been running green and black , with my 126sv . Been trying get better results from 5ft shallow on about 35ft out and adjusting gain down to see structure and fish. Stained water and suspended weeds is tough to read . Thanks for the tips.
Another great video. One thing I've heard and read about a little, and experienced this past weekend, is lithium battery voltage and its correlation to overall picture clarity. I run an Amped lithium but its voltage is 13.3V or so and the picture is fine to pretty good most days. But some newer battery models run at 14.4V. This past weekend I saw a clearer picture with the newer battery, running 14.4V. Can you speak to that at all? Thanks.
Appreciate that! I have heard people on both sides. Some say voltage makes a huge difference some say it’s all bunk. I can’t speak to it because i have had the 48ah lithium for a long time and I don’t remember what it looked like with a lower voltage battery. It did seem clearer to you though?
Hi TJ, in ice fishing I can use the old PS22 to tell if the signal is crappy nor not. However in LVS32 so signals are very similar and I cannot tell. Can you make a video to how larger crappie signal looks like on LVS32/34 ? Thanks
@tjsguideservice I like it my biggest problem is seeing my bait past 50ft the Garmin has that on it spent a little time be hind a lvs 34 is better on that only . My casting with accuracy needs some work seem to always cast short or to far
do you like livescope better than mega live?... I have mega live but I don't think the forward-sonar is as good as live scope, but then I'm new to all this.... Down imaging works great but I'm struggling with forward facing sauna on mega live.
I would say Livescope is significantly better than MEGA Live. I still run Humminbird down and side because I think they are the best in the game for that.
@@tjsguideservice yeah I think you're right but I heard next year mega live is coming out with a new transducer ... I think they know they need to step it up to keep up with Garmin with the forward-facing sonar
Tj any advice for Rainy lake? Heading to the in-laws next weekend and plan to bring the boat to try some fishing in the morning out there for walleyes. Looking for some tips for out there this time of year. Appreciate it!
I was just there during a slow bite a few weeks ago but found a bunch holding between two islands in about 30 feet on the US side east of Arden Island.
@@AuthorNathanJohnson I’ll have to study a map a bit. Not sure where that is! Haha. I should have specified I have never been on the lake. Been going to the falls for 7 years for the in-laws but never had a boat worth taking out there till the past few years! Thanks for the tip!
This video has convinced me not to spend the money on livescope. Even with a professional explaining it to me while I watch it, it still looks like random nonsense.
@@tjsguideservice Since i got lvs ive improved on all my pb''s in like 10 sessions.. ive been fishing for over 30 years.. caught biggest pike/zander and perch.. I think its a amazing thing.. but also would hate so see everyone using it. because it does have a impact. The waters i fish have not been scoped before by anyone.. Also to find a big fish.. cast to it and then see it bite on screen.. very addictive!
If you are lazy and don’t want to put the effort in to learning something just say it. It’s not just take it out of the box and it starts loading walleyes into the boat….Christ people have lost it. My livescope has taken me time to learn and for ice fishing it has been a game changer.

Some of the best educational videos out there!! Well done!
Really appreciate that, Clayton! 👊
Thanks TJ! I’ve learned so much about reading my livescope because of your videos!🎣
Appreciate that, Evan! Glad it’s been helpful! 👊
Excellent info as always. I also run the blue color hue on mine but enjoy the clean look of the black in your videos.
Appreciate the comment as always! Blue is definitely the way to go in my opinion! Just wish they would come out with that black! Haha
Very helpful video on the many uses for FFS. How to interpret what you see is key, good job explaining all the info!!
Appreciate that, Craig! Hope you’re doing well! 👊
Love your videos. The tips and tricks have been super helpful.
You bet! Really appreciate the comment and glad you’ve been liking the videos! 👊
Great explanation of those advanced sightings. You have to appreciate that black background. Garmin should take notice.
Thanks TJ - as usual you do a great job. And yes, black background would be great and I would think easy for Garmin to add.
Appreciate the comment! Yes please! Garmin needs this 😂
This has been so helpful. I just upgraded to the LVS34 Livescope Plus, and it's been amazing.
Appreciate the kind words! Glad it’s been helpful! 👊
TJ love your education. We fish on Osakis just south of you a ways. Keep the content coming!!
Really appreciate the kind words, Mike! You bet! Heard that’s a good area too!
Teacher here as well. We have a cabin north of Marcell. Just had a great two weeks of fishing up there. Great videos. Subscribed!

I might have missed it in the video, but what screen are you running that livescope on?
This is the gpsmap 8610!
Grate video vary helpful just got mega live and it is not as easy as it looking forward to getting on the water and applying what I seen in this video

This is the blue with the blue edited out. I wish they offered it 😂
Wow me too, I also run the blue myself, wish I could edit it out on my unit, really like this color.
This fish at 11:24 looks so good, can clearly see the fish.
Love it when there’s good returns!
I’m not very educated on the new technology out there I’m looking at a garmin ffs unit are they hard to learn how to use really enjoyed your video
If you could identify some of these things in the video, you are on the right track! Then just takes some time on the watrr

@ it’s not hard to use at all.
Unethical and no skill , keep arcade electronics at home it has killed our 200acre lake
Correction: anglers that did not exhibit self control killed your 200 acre lake. Selective harvest and catch and release can go along way.
