I still can't believe that Master Miura has passed away. His works were the foundation for thousands of references that other creators saw in the master Miura the source of their inspiration 😭
@@hawkeyenextgen7117 This is extremely disrespectful. Illustrating scenes in a SEINEN manga deserves death? I mean, seriously? What did you expect going into a notoriously dark, and brutal manga. The whole point of the scene was to stimulate hate and disgust towards Griffith and the apostles, especially after the 100-odd chapters we spent building up these three characters.

I still remember the time I bought my first berserk manga at about age 15, I instantly got hooked since then I bought every new Volume and got the Deluxe edition. It makes me really sad to know that we lost imo the most influential mangaka in the world. Knowing that the story will most likely never be finished, leaves behind an uncomfortable feeling for me. It somewhat makes me think of Guts being stuck with pain anger and fear inside that fictional world. To calm me I just imagine he is living the rest of his life save and happy in Elfhelm, with Casca and his friends. Maybe there is someone out there who feels like me and this makes him feel better too. All my friends can't relate to me on this topic.
I don't quite know how to process this... Thanks for doing this man, appreciated 🙏

Mr Miura was my favorite writer period. Checking for manga updates was part of my monthly routine for ages. It’s going to be tough knowing nothing more is coming. He didn’t just write a story, he showed us a possible way to live. My thoughts are with his family, may he Rest In Peace.
You voice just shows it man. Even after 4 months I still can't get over it.
I really was and still am devastated. I sometimes treat it like a dream that it hasn’t happened and Miura is still around to continue with his great story and art.
He is greatly missed and a major influence to many.

I feel you man, death is so pitch-black, every dream, emotion and longing, an entire world unto it self is eliminated and so suddenly with no purpose or explanation. As for Kentaro Miura, for him to die means that a great source of light that has shone upon so many of us all over the world is gone. This visibly darkens this world that we share.
I understand that you may think that it is over. Well I'm here to tell you that it isn't. Because when the west got the news Kentaro had already passed and they kept it under wraps for his family to grieve.
But Kentaro didn't just spend the last 32 years of his life playing with his thumbs. No he sent that time making his story and also working/training his assistants(some of them have been with him since the beginning) in his art style and Miura is no fool he knew that his health was failing and Mangakas in the pass made chapters and possible endings in advance in case something like this happens and they have seen this happen more so then here in the west.
Kentaro's assistants will finish their mentor's work and it will not be the same but they have worked and studied under Kentaro himself so I have faith that they will honor his work and How do I know this? Well one of the assistants sent a twit saying and a I quote, "I'll do my best" and also if you look in some of the chapters within Berserk Miura is known to give out very subtle hints on how he wants it to end and I have a feeling that Guts will not live when he confronts Griffith and also Guts is not the type to sit under a tree in Elfhelm that is just not him because he still has one last thing to do and that is to confront Griffith.

I am devastated by Miura sensei's death. It is truly tragic, I am sure it left a very bad taste in his admirers' mouths... Personally, the news has left a poison in my heart that is still aching, huge drops of tears falling from my swollen eyes on the last page written by the dead master but living memory, the pain is real. All I have left to say is thank you, Kentaro Miura, my companion, my father, my teacher, my hero... Rest in peace you Legend.

Japan has one of the longest life expectancies in the world but it is an open secret that many manga artists and animators die young. There may be several factors: creating a weekly or monthly manga series is one of the most work intensive jobs you can do. Also, since they are freelancers, they may not have as many single-payer health care options as salaried employees.

I'm crying I just got into berserk I watched the first anime which just made me feel feelings on a different level. I am currently reading the Manga and I am in love. I am so glad to have been born in a time where I am able to enjoy this masterpiece I can't believe how lucky I am.
It been year ago it still impossible to believe that creator of berserk kentaro miura has died It really heartbreaking with him dead the future for berserk is left cliffhanger and uncertain sadly it may never reached is conclusion and climax it rightfully deserved

I'll just chalk this up there with Five Star Stories as another manga that will never be finished. At least Nausicaa and Akira were finished.
I think of Gothic Made as a different entity than FSS. In my mind FSS ended with volume 12.
@@faustmeth I have up to issue 27 that was released here in the West. Not sure what volume that comes out to. But either way it just kind of stopped with no conclusion. I know nothing about Gothic Made as it never came out here.
I always thought it was 1 to 1 between TPBs released in the US and tankoubon (it was when I was a kid over 30 years ago). I am not sure how it works now.
@@faustmeth Exactly. They released it here in nice big volumes about $10 each from 1999 to 2006. I have all of them that were released here because I actually subscribed to the company in New York that published them. So every month they would send one. Sadly they just stopped making them. I think there were like 3 or 4 volumes that never came out here which is a shame. Mamoru Nagano does beautiful art,he actually worked on Zeta Gundam,and was an interesting writer. But just I guess it was just too much for him. Crazy since it actually started a few years before Berserk. I have the anime they did for it which was really good although it's only like the first two volumes. Five Star Stories just isn't that we'll know here even though it sold big in Japan.
Oh, you know what? I just realized you meant floppies. Yeah, so 27 issues would be probably be up to volume 5 of a TPB. FSS were released in an oversized (for Japan) format tankoubon and I always liked the coverart and print quality.

Now that With Kentaro Miura is gone the Berserk Manga Series will looked like to have a cliff hanger as we may never know if Guts will finally have his final showdown with Griffith to avenger his fallen comrade during the eclipse. So are the writer planning to make Season 3 and take it from there by making up the end of the Berserk anime Series to an sure that Guts will face Griffith at last since there won't be in the Manga.
You know what's sadder than the eclipse? The fact that the 2016-2017 anime was a tribute to him and it was bad.
I want to cry, I want to see the end of berserk, I just recently discovered berserk last year, and I was excitedly waiting for the next chapter , now even if it continues it will never be from kentaro miura's vision,

It's a shame because I loved his work. But maybe he bit off more than he could chew. George Martin has been the same way with GOT. I feel sorry for his family,just as I did for Satoshi Kon.

More of the mainstream ideas get sent to the USA so it being at 6 shows that it did hold a huge influence even though it was unpopular in the USA, compared to what usually trends

nobody can imitate his work because he's a perfectionist, but i maybe could say that his assistant could try to make something similar to his work of art because he trained him before he left us but were only speculating here.

sorry for being so cold and i might saying it a bit to early but may i suggest a suggestion? i believe that the story need to go on and the one who should take Kentaro Miura's place is no other then Kumo Kagyu the creator of goblin slayer the guy all ready written a dark fantasy mangas and all ready have a character in the show that is extremly reminding Guts goblin-slayer.fandom.com/wiki/Heavy_Warrior so yes if any one should take Miuras place it is Kumo Kagyu and we should all ask for it publicly where we can be heard! the story of Berserk must have a proper ending such story deserve an ending Miura's work must not be in vain!
The only example that I can think of where the manga continued after the author passed away is Yoshito Usui's Crayon Shin-chan. He had a studio system and many assistants that worked on the comic when he was still alive. Zack from Comics Matter made a good point: it isn't sad that the story wasn't completed. This was fate.
If somebody were to take over, I would posit that Yu Kinutani from Devilman: Amon Aposalypse and Ghost in the Shell STAND ALONE COMPLEX 〜The Laughing Man〜 would be a good fit. His art-style and paneling is very similar in vein to Miura.
