Not to say he didn't love what he did, but he had multiple journal entries about how he was lonely, overworked and in poor health. He was his own worst critic and he pushed himself to unimagineable strain. I would say he wasn't 'happy', but he was likely fulfilled.
Kentaro gave us the roadmap to struggle properly: 1- Forge meaningful friendships rooted in reciprocity. 2 - Be willing to learn from capable allies. 3 - Be willing to teach to those who would truly listen. 4 - Confront evil fearlessly, within yourself and others. 5 - Carry a big fuckin Sword.
Judging by the high quality of his assistance's manga, and their ability to draw and convey just like miura i think they can definitely finish it. I just hope that Miura gave them or wrote down the whole plot and extra lore details.
Considering that most of the time is spent drawing the manga rather than story boarding, I think the plot may have been planned out and written down far in advance.
the main question is, are the assistant can keep up with the story and art like Miura? or at least 70%? did they want to dedicated their most of time for beserk, other people work and not making their own manga? if one of the answer is 'no' then its better to leave beserk unfinished rather than dying out because of quality drop and become disappointment
@@krisnhamurti7441 That’s worthy of noting. It’s a big pen to hold. They may release chapters he finished but that haven’t been published yet. As for the rest, they *could* release a standard novel that continues and finishes the story. If the quality is worse they may want to consider it. At least it will give closure and the lore/plot.
If you ever feel bad about your life just remember this: The Earth is 4.5 billion years old and the human race has existed for roughly 400,000 years of that but you were lucky enough to live at the same time as Kentaro Miura and his art.
Yeah we are lucky with that and also here is another thought. In another reality he continues living and finishes the manga. Sadly we cannot witness that reality
Miura literally had his team do an off shoot series to get more experience and practice with handling storytelling, it's almost like he was preparing them for this moment.
There is literally no way, a perfectionist like Miura, wouldn't at least have a draft of the final chapter somewhere in his notes. I understand some people's hesitation on a team taking on the series rather than Miura himself, but if Duranki has proven anything, they are fully capable of tackling this.
@@Odinsday well the way he wrote the story in my opinion he has every major plot points and ending done because of the way he writes also chapter 400 is like 40 chapters away and muira did say he wanted to end it around there.
And that off shoot series looked promising, setting is really good. But if I had to choose which would have any notes left about it's plot I'm still obviously going to pick Berserk.
I’ve faced debilitating illness that’s taken away the majority of function I’m mostly bed ridden berserk was there to entertain me during the worst of it it took me out of my bed and into a different world. Most of all it taught me what it means to be a struggler and to stop thinking about what I can’t do and to start thinking about what I can do. Edit: I went and read my journal writings while I was reading berserk and I found a statement that I wrote about my mindset that changed my life it may seem pessimistic to most but it was what saved me ‘dear journal, lost all fucking hope today. Found acceptance’
3 years, I have only been a fan of his work for just 3 years, and I'm deeply saddened by this untimely loss, and cant even imagine how people who have been fans longer, or even been into his work since the beginning how they feel right now
It’ll be alright. You just stumbled over a small pebble in the road. It means nothing, doesn’t it? Your goal lies further beyond this. You’ll walk again, soon...
@@PatZalatoris I actually cried in tears after I heard this terrible news. I've been followed his masterpiece art works not even Berserk, Legends of King Wolf, Giant's War......etc......since 1998.😭
I started to read Berserk back in 1997, now i'm 41 and i feel a huge void inside, a part of me died yesterday but i really hope they decide not to continue the story unless Miura Sensei himself left instructions to do so.
As far as I'm concerned, they live a long, happy life on that island. Isidro grows to be a legendary swordsman, worthy of inheriting guts' title. Farnise and Serpico find some sort of solace, and move on from the black swordsman, the island, and the struggle. Puck enjoys the rest of his existence, maybe with the witches, or with isidro. Schrizche becomes a master witch, and becomes the next teacher to the witches. And guts and casca? They get their happily ever after. The one they truly deserve. A quiet, happy life. No more demons to attack them. The God hand, far, far from their mind.
@@Deamons64 I think the same. I think that after the most epic battles, Guts defeats the God Hand, one by one, Griffith being the last one obviously. And after so much suffering and pain, Guts gets what he always wanted. A peaceful life with the love of his life. To me, the last panel would be an old Guts with Casca, both smiling with their friends also smiling in the background.
I'll never forget Miura or his characters. They helped to form who I am. Not to sound like an edge lord, but I've had many bad experiences with humans and with health issues. It's made me feel really defeated in the past. Guts helped me to push on, no matter what. To defy death every day. To struggle. To not let the rage take over my mind. To remember the good. To care. This man whom I've never met has been one of my most important mentors. I wish I could have met you or interacted with you somehow. Rest in Peace. You were one of the most creative people to ever grace this planet.
“You’re going to be all right. You just stumbled over a stone in the road. It means nothing. Your goal lies far beyond this. Doesn’t it? I’m sure you’ll overcome this. You’ll walk again... soon.”

I’m positive we will never see anything like Berserk again, it was truly a masterpiece to the point that it inspired many a writer. Miura was a master of the craft, he will be missed. Berserk will forever remain as a legendary manga and Miura’s life work and legacy. I’m thankful I was able to read it.
He had a vague idea of the ending but liked to find spontaneous new ideas along the way, hopefully he told someone what that idea even was or we're gonna get some made up nonsense instead if they do decide to continue.
Proof that just ONE IDEA is enough to influence thousands of people and leave behind a legacy. Thank you Miura, you had a vision, a DREAM and you put it into action. Us fans will forever be thankful. #ThankYouMIura
" Hate is a place, where a man who can't stand sadness goes " - Kentaro Miura My sadness is too great, and I hate the fact we have lost Kentaro's brilliance; as a human being and as a storyteller through his fantastic art.
Nah, it won't be the same without Miura. Don't think some notes are enough to emulate Miura's vision and talent, don't want Berserk to end up like Game of Thrones season 8.

The one thing that's for sure: each and every chapter of Berserk is a masterpiece. Finished or not, Kentaro Miuras hard work and dedication can never be doubted. He was a living legend, and will certainly stay one in our hearts.
A few months ago, I decided to get this tattooed as a conclusion to part of my life's struggles; but only after then. After yesterday I'm fighting harder to expedite the process. Good luck on your journeys. Struggle onward. ♡
I believe a draft of the final chapter may be drawn in Miura's style by his team considering how much training he gave them. I think that would be best.
Honestly i almost feel that if it does come to an end, if its good it will be because of the unique vision and truly spectacular mind that brought this world and characters into existence. If it fails it will be because of the absence of that same mind, but neither outcome would invalidate the genuinely incredible journey he’s taken us on these past 30 years. I would hate to see his magnum opus die with him though. Berserk belongs along the likes of Shakespeare and Tolkien
Aw man that would be a treat. But for now, I think we should all just think about how wonderful Muira was as a person and save the talk about his work for later...
@@benjaminramsey498 but it was kentaros magnum opus (if I’m using that type of wording correctly). He busted his ass off to make it the best it can be. I think he would want them to finish berserk for him, and end the struggle.
Everyone who has read berserk became a struggler. Im sure his assistants feel the same as us and will try their best to give us as much berserk as they can without ruining Miura's vision
It will likely be a stressful job to get done having the weight of one of the most acclaimed Japanese comic books on your shoulders and striving to meet the criteria the best way possible
@@johnxina7496 the thing is berserk was nearing the end of the story. Because muira had said he wanted to end berserk around 400 chapters so there's no doubt he had the ending thought out and the major plot points now it all depends whether he wrote them down and told his team about it
In my opinion: I no longer care about Berserk Having an ending. However: more than likely Miura has told his team key points to the story of how he wants to be done for the most part. I am in good faith that Studio Gaga has inherited Miura's skills & will deliver exactly how much chapters have been. I still believe there will be an ending. The last message Miura has addressed to has fans years ago proves that there is so much more to the story than we know so far. But other than that..... My condolences to all of Miura's loved ones & those day one fans. All of you are amazing & you all are on another level. Rest easy Kentaro Miura, you will be missed.
@@alucard6919 Nice. I'll check that one out. I kept on being advised to read it for it's really good. Thank you. I'll be glad to accept the outcome, but I still feel like Berserk will continue no matter what.
I really hope Miura's assistants finish the manga. If what you say is true and Duranki was used to train them I'd say it was pretty successful since it had the same feel to it as Berserk. It would be logical for Miura to have told his assistants the specific details on how he wants to end Berserk (or at least I hope he did). It would be a damn shame if we never see Berserk's ending.
Honestly im pretty sure Miura had the story all planned out likely in detail you can tell by the lack of plotholes in the series and how well foreshadowing is done. But tbh id rather it not be completely without Miura, I feel like an art book with a manuscript ect for the rest of the story would be enough and we can just imagine how amazing Miura's art would have been for it.
I can only imagine how Miura would feel about not being able to finish Berserk, the man spent more than 20 years working on his story and he will never get to finish it himself or even see it at all, it's 10 times worse for him than it will ever be to even the most loyal fan, obviously he's dead, but when you put yourself in his shoes, the idea of leaving your magnumopus unfinished because of circumstances beyond your control stings really hard.
I am a Huge, HUGE fan of Berserk, with it's Story, Artwork, Characters & how it became HUGE Influence to All Games, Movies & Animes Around the World for 30 Years! In his story of Berserk, he managed to balance Chaos & Grief with Hope & Rehabilitation. In the Manga, the Protagonist, Guts, goes through a lonely journey from a Pitiless Struggle in a Horrifying Hell into an Equally Beautiful & yet Sad Study on growing Meaningful Ties & Protecting those Devoted to & finding Inner Peace. I don’t think some people understand what a huge influence Berserk has on Manga but also games and anime. You don’t get Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy VII, Devil May Cry, Dynasty Warriors & Many Others. You don’t get the Castlevania anime without it. Above all Kentaro Miura’s art belongs in a fucking Museum! SERIOUSLY, LOOK UP HIS ARTWORK DAMN IT!!! Kentaro Miura, the Manga Author of Berserk, passed away... The fact that Kentaro didn't live long enough to finish Berserk... It's more sad that we'll never get the real ending or if they try to end it, it wouldn't be the same because Art-style & Story might be Different. Which can be easily shown & compared because were used to Kentaro Miura's Art-style & was the only one to Visualize how to End it, his way! With Berserk Unfinished, if someone new takes over, it still won't be the same! But Miura won't & never be forgotten... Berserk MUST live on. It MUST be continued. The quality might not ever be the same, but for fucks sake. There has to be some sort of roadmap to follow that can bring closure to this epic story i've followed since I was 11 years old... 23 years of my life spent patiently waiting for this artistic genius to release content. IT MUST NOT END! KEEP BERSERK ALIVE!
Or break causality and let this tired world rest. Give Guts a happy ending by abandoning vengeance. The hard part isn't getting there, it's letting go.
I believe Miura told Studio Gaga about the ending and how will play out. I read some of Duranki chapters and I was shocked when I discovered that Miura worked only as a character designer of some of these characters, they freaking naild his artstyle! But then again, it might not be as good without Miura himself, and I don't think NOW it's a good time to announce wether if they're going to discontinue the manga or not, let's just wait one or two months, only time can tell...
It saddens me greatly that Miura will never see his magnum opus to its completion. I wish nothing but the best for his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, you magnificent artist. You will be missed.
This is one of those stores that truly deserves to be finished properly....sadly kentaro miura was the only one I think who was capable of doing it justice, if a studio decides to go forward I feel like his closest colleagues who knew him and his story and art style and his assistance who he was training to take up more of the work should be the ones to complete the masterpiece that is berserk....but if it doesn't finish we can cherish the berserk we have and theorize about it for years to come.
Looking down from up here, it's as if each flame were a small dream, for each person. person. They look like a bonfire of dreams, don't they? dreams, don't they? ...- But, there is no flame for me here. I'm just ... a temporary temporary visitor, ręconfortádo by the flame. Kentaro Miura 1966.-2021
We all carry our own flame. We share it with those around us, whether we know it or not. We inspire others to grow their flames, other inspire us to grow ours. This flame could be called comradiy and friendship. Inspiration. This is true in all things, sports, video games, anime. Miuras flame was the biggest and most brilliant in this genre. We carry those flames in his memory forever now.
So says the Champion of Ash, sitting by the First Flame, watching the last traces of fire flicker and die Soon, there will be nothing left, not even cinders But... Does this have to be the end? Tiny embers still dance among the ashes Perhaps...one day...one day...
Kentaro Miura-Sensei has passed away. RIP Legend 😭💔 Thank You for blessing us with Berserk, you made history by creating this indisputable Masterpiece. Tabata said about Black Clover: "I wanted to make a manga like Berserk, but in Shonen" Thank You for being the main inspiration for Yuki Tabata and Black Clover 🙏 Your legacy Will NEVER Be Forgotten 🐐
I never thought I was the type of person to cry over the death of someone I never knew. In fact, I thought that was kind of stupid. Im a 32 year old man who has been reading the manga for over 15 years. I woke up today and discovered the bad news. Got ready for work, drove to work, and as usual arrived early. I sat in the parking garage and waiting for time to pass by ended up watching a tribute video to Kentaro Miura with Gatsu as the background music. I broke down and sobbed. Sat in the parking garage in my car and sobbed over the death of someone I never met. He changed my life for years, and I so desperately wanted to know how it would end. Now I may never know how it truly was supposed to. I didn't realize how important and impactful his art was to me.
Dude same, same age and almost had the same experience. I knew this would affect me, but when I got stuck listening to the berserk theme music on loop for like 3 hours last night the realization that this isn't going to be a quick one I get over really sat in. I think for many of us Berserk was our #1 that was ongoing in the background of our lives. It was always a source of excitement because at any point you could hop on to reddit for the recent predictions of the future of berserk after a new chapter was released. You never had to think about it, Berserk was there for a you, it was your Rock. Now for the first time we must face the fact that that rock might be going away leaving a void. The story is still amazing for what it is but without the guaranteed progression of the series it can no longer provide the same stability as it did before. So not only did we lose a legend of an artist and the progression of our favorite story is at imminent risk on incompletion, part of our emotional foundation has been chipped away that can't be easily replaced. As mentioned in this video, I think there is a good chance we could see one or maybe even two more chapter published by the studio. Beyond that is a coin flip, but I think Kentaro's passing is going to be a call to action of people interested in the dark fantasy medium but were maybe on the ropes or looking for additional motivation for their projects. Don't be surprised if several amazing dark fantasy stories all of a sudden pop up in the market 5 to 10 years from now. Berserk and Kentaro have trained us for the moment, when shit gets real we must keep on struggling. Cheers
Thank you Mr. Miura, your work inspired me to follow my dreams at 19. I'm 31 no,and still chasing after those dreams. Without your work there may have never been the spark that I needed. Thank you for your beautiful, dark, haunting and inspirational masterpiece.
How we are denial is a beautiful thing how a man could impact sooo many lives by his art is mind boggling a man we never met and will saddely never meet
Same, I wouldn't even be mad. Few days ago, when someone told me the heartbreaking news, I just woke up and couldn't start my day right. I still cannot believe it now. I thought it was some kind of joke since we, berserk fans have always been joking about it. :((
Who knew it would affect me that much, i tried talking about it to a friend, freakin started crying lmao couldn't stop. I really hope that now that he is dead, people will stop interests conflict and freakin' recognize Berserk as what it is ! N°1 manga ever made in the universe or else ill spread biterness everywhere i can !
Chapter 360 is a hauntingly good place to put the series to rest. I'd like to see them wrap up some loose ends and let the work rest. That said, nice pfp, guardian.
Yesterday, I rewatched the "Bonfire of Dreams" scene. Today, this video popped in my recommendations. So sad to learn about Kentura's passing, his passion will continue to live on through our love for his amazing stories and their characters. May he rest in peace.
The one good thing I can see coming out of Berserk abruptly finishing is that it means that Guts is forever with Casca in Elfhelm. If it just ends, it's in a setting that's actually beautiful and a fitting reward for Guts' struggle. Sure, Griffith is still alive and all, but even Guts was starting to care less and less about revenge as time went on. Guts is happy and with his found family, and that's all he ever wanted.
i'd like think that a genius like Kentaro had some safe measures in place had the worst case scenario like this where to happen. i'd like to think one of the biggest reasons for Berserk's hiatuses is because Miura has spent a good portion of the last few years of his life knowing that his days where limited and that he knows that his fans REQUIRE the end of berserk. so he figured if he can't see it to the end his team can.
I've drawn comics myself and yeah it's part of the process having a rough outline ready to go for when you want to get started. The little details and side adventures can be crafted later, but without the outline it's much harder to do. No doubt he has tons of sketches and an overall outline ready, he's had time to make one. We will get all of whatever he left behind and if it includes an ending or concepts for one, that'd be amazing and I hope it does get published in some form. It's better than nothing.
That's so touching. He had done something that many only dream of - leaving his mark on the world, a *brand* if you will. His assistants continuing his magnum opus, that's all an artist could ask for if he wished for it to continue, thus his memory will be within our hearts and his passion inspiring us. Rest in peace, master Miura. 🙏
Rip Kentaro. Berserk and it's music, thank you as well Susumu, were part of a time in my life i wish i could go back to. Just seeing this magnificent story in manga and anime was just awe inspiring. So much was put into this piece of work and would be missed by an ordinary person just browsing and thinking it was just another run of the mill bloody swordplay rehashed title, but this is not the case. I will always treasure this anime and its music, that was 20yrs ago and i still remember being floored by it when i first saw it. Thank you again, Miura Kentaro
Kentaro Miura changed my life, every word, every pannel changed me in some way, for better, he knew how dark the world can be, and with his death it's just a reafirmation of it, but the most important thing that i learned from miura is that when you're in the dark, when you're alone and almost being eatead by your own demons, you will find little bit of confort in the people you love. you will make mistakes, you will hate yourself from these mistakes, but you will learn whit them. miura saved my life, i will continue with all my mistakes in my back, but i will continue, i won't be sorry for myself, i will continue for the people that i love, to protect they from my mistakes, this is the most important thing that miura teach me. when i die, if it has a after-life, i want to see miura again, see the guy that made a little flame burn inside my hearth, ty miura, you will be missed, not only by me but by everyone that you ignited that flame, the flame that represents inspiration, that represents fight and struggle. i got tears in my eyes for so long right now, but i won't let them drop, goodbye miura, you will be missed.
Almost made me cry. R.I.P. a true artist. An artist that represents the originality and the creative magnificence of human beings. Thank you Miura for creating Berserk.
Rest in Peace, Kentaro Mirua If he had a planned out story, I would like his assistants to try to get it worked out. Even if it's not in 'his style', I would hope we at least could get his finish. His art was always inspiring, but it was his story that really drew me in.
In the announcement letter of Miura’s passing, when you translate it, a manuscript is mentioned, and how Miura “casually” mentioned his ideas for the future of Berserk to assistants
I was talking about this to my mom, Who is a writer. She said it's perfectly fine to mourn the work of an artist as well as the author himself (she reminded me of a quote "life is short and art is long"). In fact it shows how much you loved the work. I'm glad you did a video like this. It's perfectly fine to wonder what will happen to the work. People shouldn't be shy to ask this question.
I only started berserk in late March and his work and passion just hit me straight away. It really broke me that his masterpiece won’t get to be finished. I want all the best mangaka in the industry to poll together to complete his work
RIP kentaro Miura I hope you have piece and that this amazing story continues to do well and inspire many different creators and stories. I can't thank you enough for your impact on me.
I started reading berserk like a month ago and it really sucks to hear this. Everyone's been posting about it and each post is just filling me with even more sadness. REST IN PIECE LEGEND! I'M GLAD YOUR LEGACY WAS LEFT BEHIND!
This is so sad... thankful to such a great creative mind for bringing us such an iconic and visceral work of art. Hopefully he left something of a blueprint behind for how he intended the story and it's characters to conclude and some of his trusted artists can do his work justice if they do continue publishing. More importantly hope his loved ones are well and heal from their loss.
It's just such a pity, man. Why Kentaro Miura of all people! I hope his assistances can somehow finish the story, but it will never be the same without Miura.
if the editorial team that was teached by miura will finish berserk for him I think it would be a great way to honor him. That truly would be a legendary legacy not only in the form of manga he created but also the skills he passed down to the editors
This is a tragedy that has shaken the world of dark fantasy. Berserk was at its a core a story of overcoming the worst of times and Miura's art and story created some of the most abysmal and simultaneously most beautiful and peaceful set pieces, events, and characters. Im hoping his team can continue his work through to the end following his diagram as best they can and i will absolutely support the series if they take this route. Rest in power Miura sensei. You were a master of the craft and a powerful driving force in fantasy and culture.
I hope he left the ending in either his family's hands or his assistants, especially if he knew about his health risks, he left such an impact in my life, even the videogames I play are based around Berserk's world. God bless Miura.
Yet another tragedy in a year/time as this, when people could really use more joy and uplifting news. I took this hard upon hearing. Thank you! Kentaro Miura, My gratitude is unmeasurable... I Only Wish Kentaro Miura Knows How Much He And His Work Meant To All Us. R.I.P. Miura.
You are absolutely correct. Thank you for your input. What’s important is that we remember Miura for his genius and find gratitude in knowing we got to witness and support it in his lifetime.
He's been working on Berserk since he was 18, and he died while still working on it at 54. As much as I want to finally see an ending to Berserk, I think it'd not be right for someone else to finish it. It's his and his alone, and it should only be his story/art for the last chapters. It was even more than his Magnum Opus, it was his child, and it should stay that way. RIP Kentaro Miura, your work will continue to live on in our imaginations.
@@s0ulweaver Of course, if that was his wish then I've absolutely no problem with that. It was his soul project for most of his life, and however he saw fit to continue/not continue it will definitively be the true end to Berserk.
@CW I'm not denying anyone anything here, and I hardly think this is the time to start pointing fingers and making accusations. I just thought it's fitting to have his work/story as the end, but if it turns out that he did in fact want it to be finished without him, then that'll be the right ending.
If Berserk continues without Miura, I only hope and pray that the fandom doesn't become as toxic as the RWBY fandom after its creator passed away too but the company continued producing seasons ie "This isn't what Miura would've wanted." "How dare this chapter show this ship. Miura wouldn't have wanted this ship." "How could they do this in the plot. It's a disgrace to Miura." Basically using his death to further rage and justify their headcanons / feelings on a chapter.
This is shocking, I knew about his health condition news which made him constantly delayed his work, even before the pandemic. Hope he already made a contingency plan to his works. RIP Sir, you are one of the greatest people who can be considered the Tolkien of the Far East.
The thing is while Miura probably had a idea of how he wanted to end it that just won't work the same way. Miura was known for adding things he wanted that would always somehow work themselves out or he would make work later. The demon baby that would appear to Gut's time from time he just thought it was a interesting idea but he had no idea it would be Casca's deformed child until he go the eclipse. He knew gut's would lose a eye because of Griffith but he didn't know how until much later. Sadly known all the thing pieces ill be lost.
The day I read about his death I couldn't stop the tears... about a year and a half ago I tattooed on myself the brand of sacrifice as a symbol of survival because of the message that berserk brought into my life, no matter what hardship Guts handled, even after he got chased by hell in its entirety, he still managed to get on his feet and carry on with his journey... I see my hardships as a boulder on the way to success, another milestone, and even though hardships will continue to chase me my entire life I will keep on standing, keep on living my life to its fullest potential. Thank you for the master piece you wrote for us, I will forever be indebted to you because of the change you made in me.
ive always felt like mangakas were like super heros, like they just had the power to create whatever world they wanted. i dont know how to describe this feeling of loss for the future of manga in general RIP miura
I feel horrible, i thought he had that last piece of the puzzle that would complete berserk and leave it complete and satisfying but he took it with him. He taught me to face darkness with a smile and improve as a person. Never has a person I never met left such an impact on my life.
we will all know that potential continuation is written by someone else + is "canon" (as long as they know actual ending). Personally I want his assistants and editors to finish it. Miura has spent shitload of time training them, teaching them the art + they know the story. They are his students, in my opinion they have right and tools to bring the ending we deserve. Miura has praised them for their skills on numerous occasions. Example: Gigantomachia was their work, Miura was only supervising this project. I believe this is what Kentaro would want - a full closure on his life work, by hands of his students. If someone can finish “project-berserk” it’s them.
I woke up to this news and wished I was still dreaming. Sadly, though, I was not. I've been reading Berserk for 15 years now, it's accompanied me for more than half my life and shaped it quite much. It's heartbreaking to see such a talented artist suffer such a premature death. He definitely massacred himself with work, sleeping very little, taking close to no pauses during his earliest career. He went from an extreme, this one, to another, the year-long hiatuses (and they were fairly understandable). All that stress probably caused his death. I believe that Berserk's greatest lessons have been taught already: we humans are capable of bearing immense burdens and keep struggling on. Berserk is not just dark fantasy and horror: it's a tragedy, and a cathartic one. We, as readers, tossed our expectations onto Miura-san, "like a bonfire of dreams". Now the tragedy is onto us, and it's our time to band together and struggle. Miura's legacy will live on forever
While I'm glad to see some hope of the manga continuing, it won't be the same. It's just a shame he couldn't see his work through completion. Thanks Miura-sensei and you will be missed.
I miss somone i've never met and know nothing about other than his work. By reading Berserk these past years I have to think that he must have been a really good man that's been through a lot
I understand now why he never let his assistants work on berserk. Something like berserk must have been a child to him.. It was his dream since we'll before his twenties , and working on it for 30 years must have been like raising up his own child.. Dosent matter if it's finished or not berserk will remain a masterpiece..!
What saddens me the most about it (ofcourse after Sensei Miura's death) is that even when the story continues and he told his student kind of about the ending, we will never see the direction of Miuras hand.. Like the exact final panels and so on

Cheers

Chapter 360 is a hauntingly good place to put the series to rest. I'd like to see them wrap up some loose ends and let the work rest. That said, nice pfp, guardian.
We're in this together my fellow strugglers. Miura will be remembered .
Yesterday, I rewatched the "Bonfire of Dreams" scene. Today, this video popped in my recommendations. So sad to learn about Kentura's passing, his passion will continue to live on through our love for his amazing stories and their characters. May he rest in peace.
It feels like i lost a very close friend. . See you soon, Miura..
No, “revenge” is still high on guts’ list, don’t mistake that. he wouldn’t be training in ElfHelm for nothing haha
i'd like think that a genius like Kentaro had some safe measures in place had the worst case scenario like this where to happen. i'd like to think one of the biggest reasons for Berserk's hiatuses is because Miura has spent a good portion of the last few years of his life knowing that his days where limited and that he knows that his fans REQUIRE the end of berserk.
so he figured if he can't see it to the end his team can.
Possibly. We will see when things go on further
would be nice if he told his team the ending to his manga he wishes for, so we get the ending he wanted
May we all continue to struggle against the lie known as fate. Rest well, Kentaro Miura, amongst the warmth of the Earth.
I hope that his assistants are prepared if they decide to continue and finish Berserk
Now it's our responsibility to struggle onward.
Rest in peace, master of us all.
Kentaro Miura changed my life, every word, every pannel changed me in some way, for better, he knew how dark the world can be, and with his death it's just a reafirmation of it, but the most important thing that i learned from miura is that when you're in the dark, when you're alone and almost being eatead by your own demons, you will find little bit of confort in the people you love.
you will make mistakes, you will hate yourself from these mistakes, but you will learn whit them. miura saved my life, i will continue with all my mistakes in my back, but i will continue, i won't be sorry for myself, i will continue for the people that i love, to protect they from my mistakes, this is the most important thing that miura teach me.
when i die, if it has a after-life, i want to see miura again, see the guy that made a little flame burn inside my hearth, ty miura, you will be missed, not only by me but by everyone that you ignited that flame, the flame that represents inspiration, that represents fight and struggle.
i got tears in my eyes for so long right now, but i won't let them drop, goodbye miura, you will be missed.
i got a little sentimental, sorry
Brilliant words, thanks for sharing
Almost made me cry. R.I.P. a true artist. An artist that represents the originality and the creative magnificence of human beings. Thank you Miura for creating Berserk.
Rest in Peace, Kentaro Mirua
If he had a planned out story, I would like his assistants to try to get it worked out.
I can't thank you enough for your impact on me.
im basically liking all the miura tribute videos without watching all the videos since its raining here in the office.
It rained the whole damn day... I could barely work
You've got it easy I'm fucking drowning in my office
@@BazedSlavaryan we mourn as one, friends... Tomorrow might be sunny
Keep struggling fellow Berserkers
It’s coming back ❤️
Time to hit the paper and draw something in Loving memory. Because Berserk is and always will be my number one, even over One Piece.
Yes. His closest people should heal from their loss. Many condolences to them and everyone else affected
Such a devastating blow to the world.
So sad to end on an Isidro Star Wars chapter.
They SHOULD continue Berserk!!!
this
He's been working on Berserk since he was 18, and he died while still working on it at 54.
Yes but that would also be his choice.
If he has left a note to his family that his assistants can continue then we've to accept it.
@@s0ulweaver Of course, if that was his wish then I've absolutely no problem with that. It was his soul project for most of his life, and however he saw fit to continue/not continue it will definitively be the true end to Berserk.
Either way it goes we will remember and appreciate his work no matter what
@CW I'm not denying anyone anything here, and I hardly think this is the time to start pointing fingers and making accusations.
Berserk will always be my favourite no matter what.
Nothing will change my mind.
He's had 30 years to think of an ending.😟 that has to count for something.
31 years 5 months and 5 days
The thing is while Miura probably had a idea of how he wanted to end it that just won't work the same way. Miura was known for adding things he wanted that would always somehow work themselves out or he would make work later. The demon baby that would appear to Gut's time from time he just thought it was a interesting idea but he had no idea it would be Casca's deformed child until he go the eclipse. He knew gut's would lose a eye because of Griffith but he didn't know how until much later.
Sadly known all the thing pieces ill be lost.
@@SkyExplosion any other items like this that haven’t been accounted for, the assistants can just create explanations for as well.
He never let his assistants work on Berserk?... What are you talking about?
What saddens me the most about it (ofcourse after Sensei Miura's death) is that even when the story continues and he told his student kind of about the ending, we will never see the direction of Miuras hand.. Like the exact final panels and so on
this is like if Cervantes died without completing Don Quijote de la Mancha... heartbreaking. Rest in peace Miura. The best ever existed
