Great informative video as previously. Thank you for clarifying the risks of using apps outside of default windows built in apps. Is it possible for you to provide some COD IP's that we should not block that affect voice chat etc.?
COD connects to several different CDNs or Content Delivery Networks. CDNs are used in websites for delivering things such as styles or images on websites with large amounts of traffic and it makes loading them easier. This makes no sense for COD. We all have the game downloaded...put that data in the downloaded game, dont make me stream it millions of times. Texture streaming is stupid and shouldnt even be in the game let alone required. I should only be receiving positional data from the server and if i am getting shot or not. But it seems like they instead want you connected to multiple CDNs constantly. Its only more expensive for them and leading to a worse product. It may allow them to have higher res textures in a smaller download size but we see how bad they are at small download sizes, theres no reason for the game to be 100+ gbs. From briefly looking at the servers it connects to, it seems to connect to all data centers and then tries to find a match within them. Even from the US it tries to ask the server cluster in Dublin, Ireland for matches. Now i get low ping in all my matches, like 15ms, but very often the hit reg is non-existent and I get shot by people that dont render in or have not even peaked a corner yet because of the desync. Ping isnt an end all be all, low ping doesnt mean a good quality match. But i do wonder if you force your game to connect within your region do you get better hit reg. Might be worth playing around with geo-fencing settings in your router if it supports it.

Packet burst in bo6 right now has nothing to do with internet its a PC problem only and its do to graphics settings, turn resize bar off and change nvidia reflex low latency to to on + boost, I have a 4090 and a 14900k with ram OC to 8000hz and i was getting packet burst so bad the game was unplayable, this is what fixed it for me
Sorry but you can’t do a damn thing about packet loss and packet burst on your end. Unless you have full access and control of COD’s servers you’re just as screwed as the rest of us
I get that the servers are their responsibility, but there are definitely things you can do on your end too. I’m not saying you can fix their broken servers, but you can reduce latency by optimizing your network settings. I’ve already explained why bursts and packet loss happen. If you want the best experience with fewer packet bursts, you need a good system, a stable internet connection, and to play during non-peak hours. Personally, I got tired of dealing with the terrible connection in these games. I shared my experience, and so many people have said it made their gameplay much smoother. Also, there are still people playing on Wi-Fi in 2024-playing without Ethernet is a big issue too. Many have improved their experience.
@ I have 5 gig fiber with a professionally optimized PC and everything and I’ll still get super high ping lobby’s, packet loss/burst and my lowest ping lobby (10-12ms) feels the worst out of all of them
@@xreve_Even tho i've never used wifi for gaming. It's not that bad anymore. For me it's 6 ping (cable) vs 9 ping (wifi)..and i'm the only user in my area using 6ghz band 🙄 Both show under 1ms latency during load or A+ under tests.
@@lunatik6168 I get it, I know there are people out there who are using older hardware or just don’t know any better. Some are still on Wi-Fi with a router from 10 years ago, never bothered to upgrade their plan, or simply don’t realize there are better options. I, myself, just upgraded to fiber optics-had B before, now I’m on A. Curious, I did a test and got a B+ connection. That's a downgrade, and it's frustrating. So I switched from Cloudflare DNS to Google DNS, and my upload and latency literally halved. But guess what? I got my A connection back. It’s fascinating how these things work. Just wish I could get A+ too.
@@xreve_ Usually the easiest way to get "A+" is to cap your bandwidth. For example: I have 300/300 connection capped at 270. I got way too many devices in my apartment. 2 PC's, laptop, 2 phones, 2 tv's,boiler and 5 thermostats to regulate floor/room temperature. Separated over 2.4ghz, 5ghz and 6ghz bands 🤔
You made 3 interesting videos that got visibility, now you release a fourth without saying anything useful, do you think that changing ip and dns will improve something? The problem is at the base, sbmm that does not give priority to the connection and poor servers at 60- tickrate. And you can do absolutely nothing to improve this for the simple reason that the problem does not depend on you.
Sorry if you feel like this is not useful, but it is. I’m playing on a 1000Mbps connection, I got a 7800X3D paired with a 4070. My hardware and connection is pretty solid. And I was able to get a better experience doing so. If you don’t, I am sorry. The stuff is useful and it can change for the better. Just do some research, it’s not that hard, and then test things for yourself.
@@xreve_ the first 6:30 min are useless, then from 6:30 to 12:30 you show your graphics settings another useless thing that is useless in this type of video, then you show how to change dns which literally 98% of the world's population knows, and which again is absolutely useless, in SOME cases the ping drops by 1/2, certainly it is not this 1/2 ping that makes the connection smooth, and certainly nothing of what I wrote above helps with the data burst, so you continue to say that this video is useful? I know better than you how it works and I have known these things for at least 8 years, they are things that I have already tried, but there would be no need to even try, just use your brain and understand that there is no correlation between what you showed and packet burst, or hitregistration. The thing about blocking IP addresses had intrigued me because I had never thought about it and I was interested in understanding better and that was useful content, I understand that you had visibility, given the fact that you brought something useful and new, now you are trying to do everything to have visibility but by bringing useless things making fun of the users, what do you think is happening?
@@xreve_ If you have a normal connection like a 1000mb FTTH you have no problem, if despite this you encounter poor hitreg packet burst lag it is not your problem and it is not a problem that you can solve, I'll give you an example, if the cable that brings the fiber to your home is faulty and causes packet loss or disconnections, can you from your home without calling the ISP solve the problem by changing dns or doing something to the pc? The answer is no, the same logic applies to the cod connection, the problem is the poor servers and sbmm that gives priority to balancing the lobbies and you can't do anything about it.
I get it, you’re clearly frustrated, and you’ve made some valid points about the server-side issues with SBMM and tick rate. But let’s be real-your comment comes across more as an attack than actual constructive feedback. You’re calling my video useless, assuming I’m chasing visibility, and acting as though sharing basic tips is some kind of crime. I’ve never claimed that changing DNS or tweaking settings will magically fix server-side problems. I’m not an expert in networking-I’m just someone trying to help with small potential improvements, even if they won’t solve the core issues. The fact is, some people have said these methods worked for them, and I thought it was worth sharing. If that’s not for you, fine, but that doesn’t mean the entire video is nonsense. You clearly have knowledge and experience, so why not share it constructively instead of tearing someone down? If you want better content, provide better feedback. Coming here with this energy doesn’t make you look smart-it just makes you look bitter.
@xreve_ I didn't just say your video is useless, I explained why. So I'm wrong, you're not looking for visibility? You've made 4 videos on this topic, the first 2 as I said were interesting, you could have avoided making the others, spoiler this won't even be the last video. "I've never claimed that changing DNS or tweaking settings will magically fix server-side problems." you said it by putting the title you put, the content of the video does not solve packet burst or hitreg problems, therefore you told a lie. I don't share anything because there is nothing to share, the problems that cod has are activision's fault and as I said 1000 times you can't do anything to solve it, if your line has instability problems you can activate windows qos and improve the bufferbloat or buy a netgear modem that has qos included and the geofilter and in addition to stabilizing the connection if the modem you have is poor it decreases and stabilizes the ping, or open nat, but in this case we are no longer talking about cod but about your own line, and this is valid for games where there are no server problems, because even doing all this the problems on cod persist.

@ that’s a good question.. maybe. I haven’t checked how my frames are when uncapped. I don’t have issues with the games performance at all. Just the servers are a mess. Updating GPU drivers helped also.
No love for the console guys? We’re just stuck in this infinite sbmm hell
Packet burst in bo6 right now has nothing to do with internet its a PC problem only and its do to graphics settings, turn resize bar off and change nvidia reflex low latency to to on + boost, I have a 4090 and a 14900k with ram OC to 8000hz and i was getting packet burst so bad the game was unplayable, this is what fixed it for me
run a benchmark and see if dlss is still on i have amd and i turned this off in game but was still on in my config file
I will try that, thank you!
For me it's 6 ping (cable) vs 9 ping (wifi)..and i'm the only user in my area using 6ghz band 🙄
Both show under 1ms latency during load or A+ under tests.
@@lunatik6168
I get it, I know there are people out there who are using older hardware or just don’t know any better.
"I've never claimed that changing DNS or tweaking settings will magically fix server-side problems."
you said it by putting the title you put, the content of the video does not solve packet burst or hitreg problems, therefore you told a lie.
Your Game play show your cleary using macros , and You complaining about servers ? Come on bro first stop using macros and try to play like a real player.
Are you serious? I’d rather take that as a compliment. What macros am I using, I’m interested in you telling me :)
