Espiranto actually had to undergo a millitary service in Lithuania. He just recenently finished his service and came back to cs2. So there is a chance we might see him in a tier2 team in a few months.
I remember using his crosshair and sens for months after deagle play. First time I used anything above 1.8 400 and now I'm permanently on 1.25-1.45 800
Honestly this could become a whole series. Because of how old CS is, as well as the fact we have WAAAAYYY more tournaments per year than most other games, there ends up being hundreds of promising pro players that end up forgotten
4:00 Great video, but saying it's hard to remember a time before jame time VP is crazy! Give some respect to the virtus plow, taz, neo, byali, snax, and papa biceps 💪
Fact I always found cool about Rickeh is that at some point he used windows mouse acceleration with raw input off. Which means he played actually very solidly at a pro level with one of the hardest to control versions of mouse acceleration
heres another one: deathzz played for movistar riders during their 2022 cologne and pro league runs, where he had a lifegame against liquid in the cologne QFS dropping like 33 kills. he was benched 3 months after and never got another team even though he never retired. (There he is at 3:44 :D)
mentioning 2019 starladder furia in the vid, one of the most forgotten player oat in cs history is ableJ. at least a lot of br players that have had any notoriety have crossed paths with (and being kicked by) fallen. until he showed up in the vid i didnt remember he existed, even as a br cs fan, thats the lvl of forgotten he has.
Hey! EspiranTo actually was rumored to have some behavioral problems, which a bit halted his progress. He then had to join Lithuanian Army, after which he returned back, stating it was much needed reassignments of his life values and so I believe hes going to be back and grinding.
Honestly I think my top forgotten player is Nico. #14 on HLTV Top Players of 2013 AND outright named Best AWPer of the year, highest LAN AWP KPR that year beating out even kennyS and GuardiaN, but bounced around teams for a few years after that before recording his last couple of officials with random mix teams in 2017 & 2018, and as far as I'm aware has completely vanished from the scene in every regard.
His break at the end of 2013 surely didn't help him. It looked like he didn't even play the game before getting back into a team mid 2014. He was lost in the meta. Was still a majorly passive awper when the likes of Kennys, Guardian, and JW were popping off. Was excited to see him back but yeah...
I remember Nico! Actually there was a video recently of Thorin interviewing Fetish(IGL of 2014 Dignitas before he got replaced by karrigan), Fetish said that Nico was very talented but didn't play enough and that's why he just kinda dropped off and faded away, come to think of it, Fetish is definitely another forgotten player despite making playoffs in every major throughout 2013-2014, he said his passion for the game died pretty much shortly after he got kicked from Dig.
Good video! An important thing to note about espiranto is his absence over the csgo->cs2 switch, he joined the lithuanian army and recently returned and has started grinding cs again
Forze with jerry felt like the guy would never leave the team until he was eventually benched, long-time players of one team always feels special and that includes KRIMZ, NAF, rain, etc.
cr4zy edging out a map against prime astralis and taking it to multiple ot’s is criminally under appreciated, also the fact how scary navi were with electronic boomich n simple all in their primes.
I haven't kept up with cs competitive for the past 5 years, I thought it got too big, but I remember a player that I used to love watching, he used to play on Splyce and his name was Professor_Chaos, he was a sniper for a while before Splyce though and apparently was very good pre 2017.
I think the title should be "cs:go" rather than "counter-strike" simply because this video is de facto limited to csgo players and oldheads might expect CS 1(.6) or CS source players with a title like this.
What's the background music at the start of the video, it's so familiar but I can't seem to remember what it's a soundtrack of. It must be a game... does anyone know?
It's good to mention that espiranto stopped playing after c0ntact (2 1 month long stints don't count) is because he was in mandatory military service. He's since come back, and has been playing and putting up good numbers.
Here are a few for part 2 and old old guard.. lUQ - Captain and awper of original Golden Five (neo, taz, kubenb,Loord), rumor is that first WCG (World Cyber Games) that they won, lUQ scammed the team and took prize money for himself and disappeared. Thats why they brought Pasha to replace him. Sunde - Awper and part of the legendary MTW team that included Zonic and MJE.. Rumor is that he was the most toxic pro player to ever touch the game.. DSN - IGL and awper of the legendary Fnatic team that included Forest, Walle, Gux and rookie Get_Right
Great video, i miss sanji, but you talked about nexa and hunter, you didnt mention the fact that they would build the best and most stable g2 roaster ever, they had niko and hunter the deadly cousins doing the heavy lifting, the selfless entry jackz, the stable (balkan karrigan) nexa and reliable support awper amanek I mean you can have the insane talent of malbs and monesy, but you are never being as stable as that solid number 2 team (navi was impossible to beat)
Call me crazy but that cr4zy roster makes playoffs at any post covid major, maybe even every other. They just had no luck, playing "prime" Liquid, prime Astralis, Niko's Faze, NiP (I guess they could be considered tough) and Elec-s1mple NaVi. As a Serb it just feels sad this roster didnt make more together.
Espiranto actually had to undergo a millitary service in Lithuania. He just recenently finished his service and came back to cs2. So there is a chance we might see him in a tier2 team in a few months.
He's been playing a few matches here and there, most recently played for 9ine academy in December
I remember using his crosshair and sens for months after deagle play. First time I used anything above 1.8 400 and now I'm permanently on 1.25-1.45 800
Honestly this could become a whole series. Because of how old CS is, as well as the fact we have WAAAAYYY more tournaments per year than most other games, there ends up being hundreds of promising pro players that end up forgotten
calling it, Garmour 100k subs and Degster major winner by the end of 2026
Mine is definitely Maikelele. What a bizarre come up he had and then stuck around top tier teams for so long. I will never forgor
His liquidpedia team list is so freakin long
Briooooo Maikelele is so true lol.
Literally everyone knows him, he’s not forgotten in the slightest…
Apparently he was weird, he was a flat earther
@@cody6550 Been playing since 2015 and never heard of him.
sanji had insane aim. I remember his hs % was the highest of all at 1 time. Sad to see he never got a real chance :(
Never got a real chance or never try. I can't think thast when he was benched, no one approached him. He just stopped playing CS instantly, even pug.
save my boy Sanji
Sanji is fine, he is currently training 1win Academy (currently named ENJOY) and getting good cash from casino
Bro should find all blue tf he doin in cs
HE HAS BEEN SAVED
he is the coach of 1WIN now
4:00 Great video, but saying it's hard to remember a time before jame time VP is crazy! Give some respect to the virtus plow, taz, neo, byali, snax, and papa biceps 💪
Its like 11pm wanted to sleep saw a notification rushed to watch and damn it was worth it. Keep it up
you and PHY CS are killing it these days. Love the vids bro keep it up
Fact I always found cool about Rickeh is that at some point he used windows mouse acceleration with raw input off. Which means he played actually very solidly at a pro level with one of the hardest to control versions of mouse acceleration
2:35 That Lilly Phillips mention made me watch a documentary. Thanks Garmour
heres another one: deathzz
played for movistar riders during their 2022 cologne and pro league runs, where he had a lifegame against liquid in the cologne QFS dropping like 33 kills. he was benched 3 months after and never got another team even though he never retired.
(There he is at 3:44 :D)
Atleast the ones he said I remember them, I have completely forgotten deathzz, I dont have an iota of clue about him
This type of video could go WAY further back to the early and mid 2000's. This is the forgotten players of the middle of CSGO
6:09 had me dying, i took a drink of my dp when i saw him get zuesed, whole video was funny good stuff
mentioning 2019 starladder furia in the vid, one of the most forgotten player oat in cs history is ableJ. at least a lot of br players that have had any notoriety have crossed paths with (and being kicked by) fallen. until he showed up in the vid i didnt remember he existed, even as a br cs fan, thats the lvl of forgotten he has.
His whole existence got completely vaporized.
your channel has become one of my faves within the past year. keep up the good work dude love the videos

Man, you are a joy to watch. Great story telling and comedic timing haha. Loved this.
Good video! An important thing to note about espiranto is his absence over the csgo->cs2 switch, he joined the lithuanian army and recently returned and has started grinding cs again

Keep it up, nice video!

That Galil skin made me crack up 😆
I actually haven't forgotten sanji. Like i remember him in pity
Here are a few for part 2 and old old guard..

Ain’t Sanji the IGL back 2019? or I got it wrong? anyway, cool selfless guy
Never heard anyone say otto-n-d. Everyone was pronouncing it as “ottond”
