@8x26x08 when they were prototypes, Seymour Duncan sent him a pair and he switched when they came ino production, thats according to him in an interview he did for Seymour Duncan on his signature Blackouts set

@8x26x08 he started using the blackouts on the all hope is gone album, he was still using EMG's in his Ibanez's before that.

Wow. My rig is remarkably similar to his. G System, Decimator Pro Rack G, Korg Rack tuner, Furman Power conditioner. The only differences are a Line 6 wireless, a Laney VH100R head, and different guitars.

so you mean for example, if have a duncan jb and use an od pedal, this will be better than some emgs? I been leanin towards that idea

The funny thing about most metal players is that they have no real idea of what makes passive pickups superior. The output of your pickups isn't important, just get a clean boost if you need more input gain. It's their base tone that's important, and EMG's just sound bland.

@guitarlad24 the best maybe, but active pickups can never compare to passive. Its just marketing that makes them so popular.

does he use AHB-1 or AHB-2 blackouts? i seriously cant decide which pickups i want between blackouts or EMG 81 or EMG 85s. But i love the tones of devildriver and killswitch engage. so much bass and crunch...

@deadman316 Yeah after a while i figured it would be too, so i bought em :D. they r pretty mad! im currently lookin at randall for my next amp, preferably half stack at least, id like a tube amp but all randall tube heads r a shit load. but the RX120RHS looks pretty good for the price and for a SS amp. id love the RM100 like Jeff and Mike use, but yeah, costs a shitload but ill pay it if its the best there is by randall. ive looked at other brands but randall seems the best bet for me

I love these rig tour. I just wish the guys were more pumped about their gear. Here the guys holding a bad ass custom ESP the cost a fucking grip and he's like..yea ..whatever... I guess after awhile the shit gets old, but still....
