I bought a VisionAire the end of November. Flown it 4 times. Been working on Phoenix and discovered this plane by process of elimination. It is by far the best hoving plane. I have been doing fairly well. Maybe not enough to fly my visionaire that way, yet. Your video answered all the questions I currently had and seeing you fly the same plane was awesome! Thanks for making this video. Main Bird is a TRex 500 DFC with 3GX, but looking forward to spring and Hovering and torque rolling before or after my TRex flights. Learned Helis first. Thanks again. Ken J.
Hey Voro, you are the best 3D instructor on the internet, especially for us novices. You are a really good communicator and instructor. I noticed there are no videos that show how to do a snap roll or even what a proper snap roll is. There are a few on the subject but they are horrible or actually don’t show how to actually do one. Will you please do a video on a snap roll; what it is and how it’s done? Thank you sir and keep up the great work!
Thank you for this. I've been using the Phoenix sim as well, and didn't know about the torque roll trainer. I'm working on not over controlling line you mentioned in this video. Thanks again.
Hi, aI wanted to learn all of this . Do I have to do especial setting in the radio in order to do 3D? I am a Futaba guy. Thank you and congratulations, love the way you teach.
Duel rates is a very personal thing. I, personally do not have low rates. Every flight I'm in high rates only and that is as much throw as I can get out of the surface. Typically 50 Degrees on aileron and rudder and 60 degrees on the elevator. Thanks, Voro
Coming from RC helis I was able to pick up prop hanging quickly. It's weird though because your ailerons become the rudder and rudder becomes your aileron. At least when compared to heli. Still working on belly in thanks for the tips! :)
Great tutorial! I have a question... what is your mindset? I mean do you think yourself in the position of the pilot, or do you (just) react to the movement of the plane's nose or wings. 'Where are you' when performing these maneuvers? In the plane or an (cool) observer from afar?
I replied below. Sorry someone who put a condescending response. The mindset is from the ground looking at the airplane, most of us are not thinking about first person view from the cockpit while flying rc...though, now it is possible to have cameras in the airplane and to fly first person view. IMHO, flying from the ground is more difficult because you have to account for all the positions of the airplane as they change...when the airplane is coming toward you, some controls are reversed as you8re now looking at the airplane from the front..hope that helps.
Hello there Voro, Some real great flying there. Been trying for some time to learn this, first on the phoenix sim and then possibly actual. Am a novice pilot myself. Have tried out few loops and rolls on the sbach. Kindly advise how to proceed and get there. Thanks a lot and keep going higher.
I’m new to RC flying planes. Question- do they sell a beginners RC plane that can take many crashes & still continue flying? I hate to spend $500,800 or 3,000+ then accidentally crash it & it’s no longer flyable. Last question- can you mail the damages RC plane to manufacturer for repairs or are they local places to actually fix RC planes?
Lol first learn how to fly. Then learn how to build. Then enjoy. Also watch the video. If you have questions use Google lmfao. There are tons of planes that can take a good beating. But nothing is indestructible. You want to learn? Get a simulator. Or find an instructor. Theres millions.
CG should always be perfectly balanced. D/R usually set between 100 and 150% and expo right around 70% on every surface. But expo is totally up to the pilot. As far as thumb tips, I'm not really sure, I use both index finger and thumb on the sticks (pinching the sticks), you might try that as you don't use the tips as much. But ultimately I wouldn't know, it comes down to whatever feels comfortable for the pilot.
Hi Voro RC i usually fly quadcopters and after seeing your video i decided i really want to get into Rc planes. I also got the Phoenix sim 5.0 to learn before i buy any planes. I would like to know if the software (phoenix) is compatible with the microzone MC6 transmitter or Flysky I6 transmitter? The one i aim to buy I am getting options those two options for RTF but i notice mosr RC planes comes with PNP so was hoping to get a good tranmitter that i can use with the phoenix sim and also fly my planes. Thanks
What was all the setting for you doing this as far as CG, D/R and expo? Cause I keep practicing and I can't get it. Also do you have any pointers on how to learn to use the controls with out my thumb tips, I heard its worse for you to do that.
I fly all electrics and have the Phoenix 5 sim. Which plane do you think I should try to use for this on the simulator. I was working on rolls and did pretty good usings the Yak 30. Can you advise to plane type and any special settings. Thanks Ron
Did you not watch the video? He clearly expresses what flight simulator he is using. No wonder he's not posting anymore people don't actually watch they just ask questions that are already answered on the video, must get frustrating for him. 😕
Hi...how much setting (.....%) in throtle, aileron, rudder, elevator, expo do you use? i use 50 % in throtle, 50% in rudder, 30 % aileron, and 50% in elevator, i still try and try but its very hard to make hover.
Each plane has a different "thrust-to-weight ratio," this plane is just a low ratio. Some planes are higher and can hover at half throttle, and some do not even have enough power to hover, it all depends on the plane and the power system it's using. Thanks, Voro
Best tutorial I’ve seen on this subject. I’ve been trying to learn the hover for a long time. Great job

He looks inactive. Hasn't put out a video in 2 years. I agree though good tutorial videos.
@@Rob-vt1mz he is dead
Excellent advice. I haven't found any other videos that will go through the whole list of primary skills needed for 3D maneuvers.
Thank you Voro, I look forward to watching all of your other vids.
Voro is a natural at teaching 3D flying. He also is very skilled at flying RC planes.
Cool. Just got a UMX 3d Beast AS3X and this is just what I needed to start to learn some basic 3d. Great presentation.
Good luck im sure you found out that a gyro doesn't work for 3d
Best instruction video of it's type I've come across, thanks!
Your videos are very informative bro, I'm learning 3d now on phoenix 5.0 and you are a massive help. cheers
Thank you for this. I've been using the Phoenix sim as well, and didn't know about the torque roll trainer. I'm working on not over controlling line you mentioned in this video. Thanks again.
I have to agree that this is a remarkably good tutorial video. How did it take me so long to find it?! Thanks Voro!
This is the Best one that I have found. Cant wait to look at the rest . Thank you
Love your videos! Helps out a lot. Can you make a video on Phoenix simulator settings, expos, dual rates? Your videos are always easy to understand.
Thanks a lot for your tutorial, exactly what I was need. You got a new subscriber, keep up the excellent work!

Thanks for this very helpful video. You're a great instructor. I'm not there yet but I hope to be someday.
Another helpful tutorial. Great job Voro.
your way better now bro. sincerely live 3D

Excellent videos, Thank you! These helped me perfect my aerobatic flying ALOT!
voro your vids are great. I'm learning a ton thanks a lot
Thank you for taking the time to put this up. It helped me alot
Great Instructional videos man, I'm happy to see another RUclipsr like myself doing Phoenix 4 Videos! Keep up the awesome videos! :)
Very nice man, didn't miss a thing. Thanks

you make it look so easy! im using the flight sin on the iphone at the moment

Obviously from looking at the place as youre looking at it youre not in it. What a odd question. Almost seems schizophrenic in a way.
I replied below. Sorry someone who put a condescending response. If you have never done any 3D, how long do you thing it would take to learn the "hover"?
How about the dual rate and apx for it how much dual rate you are using when you configuration ion the radio. Thanks nice video

Great tutorials! Do you suggest learning to harrier first or hover?
i still laugh every time when you say that its a plane that thinks its a helicopter -Live 3D
Cool video, what simulator do you use??
Good tutorial, thanks!

Are you using exponential and dual rate? If yes, which percent?
First thank you for all the wonderfully educational videos. Amazing stuff. What model and flying field are you using ?
you rock! love the tutorials! so kind of you!
can I do this on my rc airbus
okay so what simulator and what plane is this??
What was all the setting for you doing this as far as CG, D/R and expo? Cause I keep practicing and I can't get it. Also do you have any pointers on how to learn to use the controls with out my thumb tips, I heard its worse for you to do that.

I learned them all in 5 minutes of hovering. I can stay perfectly still in front of my face
hi interested in getting into the hobby...what size are these planes thx
where do i get the RC sims??
Probably a dumb question but I just bought real flight 8 and very disappointed with graphics on a high end PC. What program are you using?
Did you not watch the video? He clearly expresses what flight simulator he is using. No wonder he's not posting anymore people don't actually watch they just ask questions that are already answered on the video, must get frustrating for him. 😕
does this require a gyro?
RealFlight has the Hover training as well.
Hi...how much setting (.....%) in throtle, aileron, rudder, elevator, expo do you use? i use 50 % in throtle, 50% in rudder, 30 % aileron, and 50% in elevator, i still try and try but its very hard to make hover.
he used 40 lb with 50% all around (used to fly with him)
Newbie here. How are you preventing the plane from climbing? It looks like you have it full throttle the whole time.
Each plane has a different "thrust-to-weight ratio," this plane is just a low ratio. Some planes are higher and can hover at half throttle, and some do not even have enough power to hover, it all depends on the plane and the power system it's using.

Which program are you using?
when i click torque trainer it just come off and i click again it exitz again any tip on how to fix this
thanks, helped me a lot :) Didnt know that with the right aileron
sir can i ask to you which software u have for recording the simulator. if yes please reoly to me. your wotk is great.
its phoenix which is dead now so only RealFlight 8 is left unfortunately not as good of 3d planes
kindly tell me or share to me link of the software you are using for recording Phoneix simulator.

what game are you play? i play realflight, but what are you used?
What simulator are you using to make this recording? Thanks
He is using Phoenix RC
Great Video! Thanks!!!
can you hover with a trainer type plane, giving that it has enough power ?
kevin brooks yes but you will need to make all the control services twice the size and make sure they throw very large angles.
@@johnberner2012 thats not true.
I hover my avistar all day.
The only thing that matters is prop and power to weight
Very good, thank you :)
Thanks bro.. Great tutorial
