Ahhhh. at last! I have been waiting for a new restoration from you my Gentleman. I am commenting 3 minutes into the video but i am sure I will like the following 20 minutes. :-) Cheers. I was here! Per-Olov
You do some of the most amazing restorations I've ever seen. Not only do you restore them but you make them even better and more beautiful than they ever were!!!
This channel is all about undoing all the cost saving measures from manufacturing and showing what a top craftsman can do. Still functional but too pretty to use.
MM good to see u in the lab again.. Project turned out beautiful, as it always does.. Where did u learn your skills on a lathe? Well, until we see the pedal car in the next project, you take care my friend and God Bless...
That was heavy thing. I shure it wasn't so good even in 72. That's a true well done restoration. Great engeenred thing restored by great restorator. Truely german quality.
The can should be painted red to signify there's a danger. I'm amazed at the amount of work you put in to restore all of the things you do. I wrote this before the end. I hope you restore the little car next.
Here in the US, a blue can is designed for kerosene, perhaps this can was used in 1970's Germany to transport heating fuel, or was not subject to a standardized color code.
@@meinemechaniker у меня канистра и отдельно воронка, конечно не удобно, так как, когда канистра полная бензина, то приходится звать сына на помощь, что бы придерживал воронку ;) интересно в Германии производят такие канистры?
@@meinemechaniker very good attention to detail. It is good to see in this day's world of poor quality and disposable goods, that there are still some people like you who have good attention to detail and the commitment to do something properly 👍
How could a craftsman as good as you leave his sports car neglected? We want you to do premium maintenance right away. Also, take a video while doing it 😅 I'm looking forward to see that upcoming restoration ✌🏻 This work is awesome, i loved the blue color again and again. Thank you for sharing this detailed , gorgeous work with us. Stay safe and see you soon Gentleman. Cherrs 🥃

If i had it, i don't think i would use it or fill it with fuel because you restored it and made it even more beautiful then it was originally. just fantastic.
Another piece of brilliant work. The brass filter turned out great and looks brand new. Its the attention to details such as these that keeps me fixated on your work!
como siempre un placer a la vista, eres uno de los pocos restauradores que estan en el top top, sigue asi me encanta tu contenido :D , Saludos desde argentina.
Germany has always designed and produced excellent quality and functional fuel cans. Libertad cans in WW2 were called "Gerry Cans", and widely used by British servicemen as they were so much better than our own.
@@aib0160 yup. Hanoverian branch of the many HRE kingdoms and principalities. surprised how many people don't know that too. in one way or another, almost all kings, czars, etc of Europe to Russia were tangentially related to some (what is now) German houses
Yes there's a whole yt video about this. So I remember seeing the ones British had to deal with... They looked like you could dent them with just your fingers... No wonder they stole German cans whenever they could.
The Brits then copied the cans almost precisely, the U.S. decided to create their own which was loosely based on the design. I grew up around old vets who called the U.S. cans 'Gerry Cans', it was years before I learned they were wrong.
Such a better design for a gas can than the red American ones. Gonna see if I can buy one of these! Fantastic restoration as usual, looking forward to more!!
They way you're trying to copy the whole visual identity from the MY MECHANICS channel is shameful. You're obviously a very talented and well capable person and I'm sure could do much better by going after your own identity rather than trying to emulate someone else.
How lame do you have to be to be a complete rip-off of the original all the way down to your about section? Couldn’t just make your own thing without relying on accidental clicks? Pretty sad.
@@meinemechaniker I don't mind people standing on the shoulders of giants, that's how we move forward. I would have watched your video and got a decent amount of entertainment. You can make your props close to his, your projects as identical and your name and your logo similar, but when you flat out copy and paste someones Bio that's low. Way to like your own comment btw.
that turned out perfect. I just wish I could see how clean it is on the inside. Funny skit. seriously I watch videos of animal rescues and they are tangled and harmed by all manner of debris. What you do restoring things keeps them from becoming refuse and ending up impacting animal habitat. keep on doing it.:)
You have done such a beautiful job with this gas can, it is like a piece of jewelry now. I like to think this work is kind of a metaphor for how we can approach climate change. We can reduce the level of CO2 into the atmosphere by not burning fossil fuels, but we can honor and memorialize the vehicles and equipment that did by turning them into beautiful pieces of jewelry or art to admire. Whether or not it was your intention, you have lit up a new path for gas guzzlers to salve the loss they feel when contemplating an all-electric future.
Bloody hell that paintjob came out perfect!
