Great video James. Don't worry about sitting on the plate, these things happen to the best of us and at least you can have a laugh every time you look at it, knowing what a fool you were!
Ah yes, the disappearing ball bearing, small and easy to lose just like C-clips and some tiny board screws. When they go flying or fall out of something you never see them again. Been there done that. Glad to see you stuck with this right to the end and didn't give up. ☺👍
James, great job! I have the same device and the same problem. when I was assembling, I tore off the green wire and I can't find where to solder it. the scheme does not fit. Please help me!
@@jamesbennettmusic this S16 motor switch green wire goes from the switch probably to the control board, but the board in the diagram is different. this wire is responsible for the auto-stop. I wish I could send a photo
@jamesbennettmusic , The terminal p.c.board and the board in the diagram are different, there are no traces of a broken probe on the board.I will send a photo by e-mail if you give it to me

'fool' is a family friendly version of the word I'd choose, yes 😄
Nice work!
I remember my father having just that model when I grew up.
I admire your patience.
@@MrChristianBlackmon wasn't from the Isle of Wight was he? 😄
@@jamesbennettmusic No. Gloucestershire, but living in Sweden (where I enjoyed the Sanyo growing up)
