By water pressure obtained by altitude (head). Depending on the altitude of the column of water, and liters per second, you can figure out which generator is best for you.
What's my experince are... this system using too many equipment. Using extra n hidden cost to the valve n etc. Belting system are suitable for running any transformer. It will cut down the rpm around ( 0.155 rpm) due to length of the belt ..Is'it? The best are using coupling. And today we now using PP piping. More strong n zero maintenance to the project. The 6" pp pipe are just fare.thr longer incoming pipe.. the more power we get for the impeller..wright.

Yes it is belt drive. Its not the best way but its often the cheepest.

Very well I think.. Its still quite new (10 yrs or so) I have a similar one still running built in 1925 !

If you do it your self it should pay off in about 5 years. The plant should last 50 years. Cheers
