I literally just rewatched this series and it was even better the second time around. The level of detail and skill in this show is amazing. Best finale ever - tragic and satisfying at the same time.
Lots of shows get decribed as great or singular. I loved The Americans and thought it one of my favorite serialized tv shows. My opinion: the best finale ever. Just crushing.
Currently re-watching this remarkable series for the 4th time. Would love a follow up series. It could be great, following them into the 1990s post-Soviet Union dissolution. Happy Birthday to Matthew Rhys (Nov. 8th).
Just watched entire series for the first time. Brilliant. So brilliant, in fact, that I could see past so much of NY standing in for the DC area ;) I truly, unironically did not care about the filming locations because the filming locations because everything about this series was so excellent. Am looking forward to rewatching it many more times in the years to come.
Loved The Americans having just watched it. The sign of a good show is leaving us wanting more. Much as I’d love a mini series or a special to find out about Paige, Henry, Stan, Oleg, Phillip & Elizabeth’s romanticised view of Russia etc. I also like the open ended question about Renee where there’s no wrong answer.
Just finished binge watching The Americans for the first time in my life on Disney+, I really wanna see how Paige and Henr evolve after their parents left for Russia. While Elizabeth and Philip were certainly great characters, Paige has probably the best arc in the entire series

We need to stop reviving shows that had a series finale. Seriously. I say this as a fan of shows that were cancelled and I’d love them to be resolved but ultimately it’s just best to leave the show where it ends reboots revivals they typically end up failing hard. This is a show I absolutely want to see hopefully one day I’ll get to see the Americans it sounds amazing
I loved the series....Keri and Matthew were superb.... Being in Australia, they are re-running the whole series. I couldn't help notice,,,,,,,,but I thought Elizabeth looked SO MUCH LIKE Nicole Kidman with that straight-haired wig with the fringe......especially in side-on views of her face.............Just as Nicole was in Big Little Lies..................does anyone agree with me ?.....p.s... I wanted to know what happened when they got back to Moscow, did Stan know about the daughter, did their son go off to College but find out about them.......... ( I hate loose ends............lol )

Just watched the whole series. Weird hearing his accent
People! Russia, and especially Moscow, in the 80s was bright. Nobody was wearing scarfs on their heads, like they are showing in the Moscow episodes, only might be the old babushkas. Also, the shops were different, with more nice food and more vibrant life all around. Lo much is not correct in the show.
I strongly disagree with that reviving but if they plan to go for another series which the story takes place in modern era with paige finding herself in white house or similar ideas I'm down with it
Please. Yes. U can get it well done again. I personally want to see if Renee is... The way she was portrayed plus some details tells me she is, even a boss of U and Kerri perhaps but who knos... and also, Henry. What about that American? Is he ok? Did Paige reached him?... How is she btw
They gave me what I wanted. The Tonya the Machine gunner episode. The show itself is toxic, gaslighting and misleading. Part 2? I mean one can see their son becoming the Brotherhood coming from ten miles away. What's his face who's very high at the FSB " fighting " his son who's this brilliant FBI agent? " Luke, I AM your father! ". 😂

Would be great to bring back the series… but with China as the spies… as they are currently in 2023

I didn't know Mr. Rhys was English. I've only ever seen him on this and Perry Mason. A very good actor.
