- We're trying authentic Filipino food for the FIRST TIME but it has a twist!
We can only eat halal food, so how can we try sisig and isaw? We hunted a place down that could give us the flavour of the food we really wanted to try!

Nice that you also help other travellers find good Halal foods. It's usually common in the south of Philippines where our muslim brothers are. Davao or Mindanao area good halal foods there.

I've been to their Makati branch which is in Poblacion, it's always busy and packed. As a carnivore, I agree with you. It's amazing food.

There are alternative to the pork sisig. "Sisig" is a way of cooking, it can be fish like bangus "milkfish", chicken, tofu or mushroom.

Definitely recommend that vegan cafe for anyone that is vegetarian or vegan and wanting to try some Filipino food. It was very very close.

If you come back to Manila, there is a huge shopping area called Greenhills Shopping Center that has lots of Filipino Moslem traders. There is a mall and beside that is a huge "knock off" markets of goods, cellphones, watches (class A fake for major brands), clothes, etc. I've eaten there many times and love the "beef rendang" Filipino dish from the south which is also popular in Malaysia. That place has a chapel and a mosque. You will find so many halal restaurants. The shopping complex is popular with foreign tourists. The cute baby is safe there, too. The whole complex is airconditioned.

Halal food was hard to find before. Nowadays it is easier.
Vegetarian food is easier to find sometimes. Tofu sisig.

Longanisa is usually made of ground pork ,garlic ground pepper salt & sugar ..For vegan they use vegetable instead of pork
Susus us also made of pigs face ,,onion , mayonnaise,red chilli,ground pepper,otster sauce and some seasoning
For vegan they use fried tofu or fried fish instead of pigs face
Spring roll is also made of ground pork ,carrots ,garlic ,onion otster sauce and other seasoning
For vegan they use tofu & vegetables

No such thing as traditional Filipino food. Everything local in such places is just art.
You might learn lot of vegan foods on eight miles from home channel.
It's good You found an actual Vegan place. A lot of places will claim to be Vegan, most are cash grabs and some even use Lard and cook both Non-vegan with it.
This place was actually probably one of the best vegan restaurants we have ever been to. Sooo so good 😊

If you really want to do food vlogging, try Filipino traditional foods, you love trying crazy stuff, try LECHON, DINUGUAN, FROG, BALOT, AND MORE,

There are options, guys just tell them you don't eat pork. They are other healthy options.

The only problem i see in vegan is most meat substitute are high euric
I am vegan and all I eat is vegan food. Vegan food is actually plant based. My uric acid has always been normal. Elevated uric acid is from eating too much red meat and organ meat.

@@FieldofVisions then that must be the title of this vlog. Thank you for featuring our food and culture but I’m sorry because sometimes I have trust issues with foreigners. There are a lot of vlog suggestions about Filipino content and most of them are for click baits only. Sometimes the vlog titles are very misleading and exaggerating for the views. In some food reviews, foreigners were not honest in their opinion about the food and some were lying that it is their 1st time trying filipino food when in fact they have previous vlogs eating Filipino food. Anyway, just nevermind my comment. Just enjoy your stay in the Philippines and keep safe always.

I feel sorry for you to seldomly find Halal Foods because the Philippines is a Christian Nation, about 90 % Christians and about less than 5% Muslims. And more so for Vegans and Vegetarians because Pilipinos in general are Carnivorous.
