Although I respect your time and understand that you have not posted videos on stoicism, I'm very happy you BACK!
I do enjoy your fountain pen videos as well and that is how my interest in your channel came to be. But I haven't missed a single video on stoicism. These are VERY good.
Thank you for another great video.
    Dankjewel

Thanks for this....when I was a younger man my father used to try to inform me on Stoicism....and while I listened...perhaps I did not hear everything. Potentially as an older person I should re-engage with the ideas he was trying to share...

The part that gets me is about sickness and doing the right thing. This is unfortunately an ongoing struggle for me. But hopefully I can make progress contemplating and reflecting on this topic when I have to deal with this unpreferred indifferent.
Thank you for this topic. In every day life it is an helpful way to put things in perspective. And is in my mind and helpful way to not let the negative let you stray away from virtue. ❤

Ah, a preferred indifferent youtube video ! :D (did I get this right ?) I‘m busy at the moment so I‘ll watch this later but it’s in my control to upvote and write a comment which may please the mythical creature called ‚the YT algorithm‘ which may help your quest to promote fountain pens and stoicism.

What’s outside our power are all external things that aren’t good nor evil but indifferent and nothing to us.
They were all external things and aspects of life outside virtue and vice.

There are pathological narcissistic people; a lot of them are in positions of power. Can you speak on how a person is to retain their virtuosity, when faced with malevolence?

    Virtue was the only good
    Vice was the only evil
All things external were indifferent and neither good nor evil.
(By “all things external” you mean; “all aspects of life outside virtue and vice”,
“all things external to virtue and vice”, “all things external to justice, courage, wisdom, temperance & injustice, cowardice, intemperance, folly).
Your body, property, possessions, reputation, office, circumstance, life, death, pleasure, beauty, health, strength, wealth, fair fame, noble birth and their opposites, death, disease, pain, ugliness, weakness, poverty, ignominy, low birth, imprisonment, and the like
are “all things external to virtue and vice” and so neither good nor bad but indifferent.
