Maybe this gadget is a smidgen easier to use with mochi but unless you get really into making homemade rice crackers I don't see it getting much use. I feel like the main improvement over a good mandolin is that you have less risk of cutting yourself.

Cheese isnt made out of grain so it wouldnt work, but you can fry any rice paper, it will puff up with lots of air pockets, and dip it in hot cheese for a nice snack
