  • Fried Dough made two ways. First batch is homemade pizza dough pulled apart into pieces, stretched by hand, and fried in oil until golden. Finish it off with powdered or granulated sugar.
    PIZZA DOUGH RECIPE:
    1 cup water
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp sugar
    3 cups flour
    2 tsp yeast
Place ingredients in a stand mixer, put to setting 2 and knead for 8 minutes. After that spray the bowl with cooking spray, and place dough in there to rise for one hour covered.
Once risen, break into 15 pieces and stretch to form discs.
Use a deep fryer or large pot and heat Grapeseed oil to 375*.
Drop dough in and cook until golden on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
Place on paper towels, and sprinkle with sugar.
Second batch is a simple dough made with flour, baking powder, salt, butter, and water.

I really like it when RUclipsrs include their family in the videos and when the videos are made personally by them. I am so tired of all the "professionally" made ones that look like a tv cooking show.
    I am a fan for sure :)

Loved this video however I must say it made me totally nervous the entire time. I couldn’t wait for it to end. I’m a mother and now a Nana, I just cannot take chances like this with my kids. 375 degree Hot Oil is so very unforgiving please don’t think I’m picking on you, I just know that kids have accidents. This one would take months perhaps years to recover from, if ever. Thank Goodness nothing happened. The fried dough looks yummy too.

Agree I had the same thoughts and I don't even have kids (wish I could but cant) it's great that she's teaching her to cook but too little to be that close to hot oil. I was about that age maybe a little older when I decided to make my first batch of Egg in a wholes after a trip to my cousins and got brave and decided to try it unsupervised - and guess what.......ended up burning my foot with hot oil. Still have a scar too.

On my way, I felt sick watching how cavalier you are having your kid so near the frying pan and all that hot oil she was up and down the step, moving across you to reach for things and at no time did I her, Be careful, this is very hot and dangerous, the only warning I heard was that her T-shirt was going to get dirty. Come on, no matter how good the kids are, they should not be allowed near such dangerous conditions. I am so sorry to say this, it’s obvious that love your kiddy but perhaps you did not assess the situation properly 🥲🥲🥲
