    Awww thankyou! My mom was always so proud of her fried dough and all her sisters, I think lol, said hers was the best too! I never really learned how to make it. Very yummy. I grew up in Massachusetts, now live in New Mexico where there is fry bread. I think they are similar. Thanks for your video!

    There's so many different things you could put ontop of different ones: Icecream, Butter & Jam, Butter & Honey, Butter & Cinnamon, Butter & Brown sugar & powder sugar, Peanut butter, Nutella. YUMMM!!! ;p
    Oh I have a question... Can I add stuff for flavor to my raw dough? Like cinnamon and sugar while I'm kneading the dough?

    • @highroller777
      @highroller777  5 лет назад +2

      I think adding cinnamon and sugar is a good idea. I never thought of it, but I don't think it would hurt to try it.

    I'm in my forties and I've never had fried dough. But funnel cakes are pretty popular where I live. Is fried dough a regional thing? If so, where is it from?

    • @highroller777
      @highroller777  5 лет назад +1

      I'm in my late 40's, we used to fry dough at home when I was a kid. and the fairs and carnivals have them. If you couldn't tell, I'm in New England area.

    • @roshnimaharaj7818

      Its actually pretty much like Funnel cake fried dough is mostly from New England Boston area. I'm in NY now and everywhere I go we get Funnel cake not fried dough I must say I prefer fried dough over Funnel cake.

      Hi Lisa. Thank you, It is 3 table spoons. My mouth did say teaspoon. Sometimes my brain and my mouth don't like to cooperate together and I don't catch it in the editing. Fixed in ingredient list also. Take care :)

      If you are using aluminum based baking powder you could be picking up a metallic taste.
      The make aluminum free baking powders that don't taste "tinny".
      You could also move to a yeast leavened dough

    • @garrett6064
      @garrett6064 4 года назад

      As some other comments pointed out she said 3 teaspoons butter, but added 3 tablespoons butter in the dough. Perhaps this was the problem.
      Its dough, butter & sugar, believe me, they're good. Hahaha. Try again, you'll love them.
