HŌʻIKE THROWBACK: Band performs Naha Pōhaku during Paiʻea (Hōʻike 2023)

Part #throwback, part #behindthescenes, but here’s a look at our band performing Naha Pōhaku from Paiʻea, last year’s incredible Hōʻike.
Usually hidden behind the stage and a screen, but their presence is loud, providing that soundtrack for our performers to deliver their mele, and an integral part of the all-kula Hōʻike experience in Koaiʻa, feeling their sound waves throughout the show.
Tomorrow night(2/23), they and five other East Hawaiʻi bands(including our Kula Waena band) actually take the stage as we host the annual Kamehameha Band Festival starting at 5pm in Lunalilo Hale. The event will also be livestreamed right here on the KS RUclips channel.
